How Empowerment and Social Support Affect Occupational Stress of Firefighters (임파워먼트와 사회적지지가 소방공무원의 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향)

  • This study surveyed 230 firefighters working in Dae Gu City and Kyung Sang Buk Do in order to analyze the influence of social support and empowerment on occupational stress and its sub-categories. The study results show that occupational stress is reduced for firefighters when there is more social support and empowerment. For subcategory variables of occupational stress, occupational autonomy stress was influenced only by empowerment. Stress related to lack of compensation and stress from the organization's culture were influenced the most greatly by social support. The weekly fre quency of emergency mobilization and years of working were also found to influence occupational stress and its subcategory variables. The group difference analysis revealed that the fire department had a significantly higher occupational stress than the first-aid department, and 4 to 7 weekly emergency mobilizations corresponded to significantly higher occupational stress than 8 or more weekly emergency mobilizations. Based on the study results, stress management programs focused on increasing social support and empowerment for firefighters are suggested.

Verification of Structural Integrity for Cylindrical Subsonic Vehicle (원통형 아음속 비행체 구조 건전성 확인)

  • In this paper, the structural integrity for a cylindrical vehicle in subsonic environments is verified. In order to confirm static structural safety for the cylindrical vehicle in extreme maneuver condition, the structure analysis and full-scale static structure test are carried out. The commercial finite element codes, MSC. Patran/Nastran is used for numerical simulation. The full-scale static structure test equipment consists of the counterbalance system, loading system and data acquisition system. Besides, the dynamic characteristics for the cylindrical vehicle are reviewed by performing an impact hammer test.

  • In this paper, a novel approach to using Subcircuit of Pspice in designing feedback for DC-DC converter systems is proposed. Proposed new approach, the feedback design procedures which are based on small signal modeling are programmed as a subcircuit in Pspice. For this purpose, Analog Behavioral Modeling (ABM) is used. By using the subcircuit, the component values of the error compensation amplifier can be easily obtained by means of Pspice DC analysis. The methodology of development is presented in detail and application examples demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach in designing feedbacks for DC-DC converters. The converter with PWM method used continuous current mode and calculated buck converter control signal with average and linear current technique. To decide pole and zero K-method was adapted and this kind of design procedure took stable function.

A Study on Indoor Subjective Symptoms of Workers at Dental Hospitals (치과병원 종사자들의 실내자각증상에 관한 요인분석)

  • 본 연구는 치과진료실의 실내 공기질에 영향을 미치는 요인과 종사자의 실내자각증상과 관련성을 조사하여 치과위생사 개인의 발전과 건강 증진에 필요한 기초자료를 마련하고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 전국(서울, 경기, 대구, 포항)의 종합병원, 치과병원, 치과의원의 치과위생사 210명을 대상으로 2011년 10월 1일부터 20일까지 자기기입식 설문지 조사를 시행한 후 회수하여 응답이 불분명한 5명을 제외한 205명에 대해서 분석 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 15.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 근무 중 휴식시간 유무별로는 근무 중 휴식시간이 없는 치과위생사가 67.3%로 높은 분포를 보였고, 건물 밖 외출 여부별로는 때때로가 54.6%로 절반 이상을 차지하였으며, 건물 밖 외출횟수별로는 1회 86.1%로 대부분을 차지하였으며, 근무기관의 계절별 자연환기 정도별로는 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울 모두 1일 2회 이내가 절반 이상을 차지하였으며, 다음으로 1일 4회 이내 19.0%, 기타 9.8%, 1일 10회 이내와 하루 종일 2.4% 순이었다. 실내자각증상 호소율에 대해 살펴본 결과는 4점 만점 중 전체 평균이 2.45로 나타났다. 먼저 영역별로는 평균이 '목증상'과 '눈증상'이 각각 2.54로 가장 높았으며, 문항 중에는 평균이 '눈이 잘 피로해진다'가 3.00으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 근무환경 특성에 따른 실내자각증상은 야간진료 여부별로는 야간진료를 하는 치과위생사가 그렇지 않은 치과위생사보다 실내자각증상이 낮았으며, 야간진료 여부에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다(t=2.07, p<.05). 실내자각증상과 직무스트레스의 관계는 물리환경(r=.259, p<.001)과 직무요구(r=.311, p<.001), 관계갈등(r=.172, p<.05), 조직체계(r=.158, p<.05), 보상 부적절(r=.197, p<.01), 그리고 직무스트레스(r=.275, p<.001)와 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다.

A Study on Tangible Gesture Interface Prototype Development of the Quiz Game (퀴즈게임의 체감형 제스처 인터페이스 프로토타입 개발)

  • This paper introduce a quiz game contents based on gesture interface. We analyzed the off-line quiz games, extracted its presiding components, and digitalized them so that the proposed game contents is able to substitute for the off-line quiz games. We used the Kinect camera to obtain the depth images and performed the preprocessing including vertical human segmentation, head detection and tracking and hand detection, and gesture recognition for hand-up, hand vertical movement, fist shape, pass and fist-and-attraction. Especially, we defined the interface gestures designed as a metaphor for natural gestures in real world so that users are able to feel abstract concept of movement, selection and confirmation tangibly. Compared to our previous work, we added the card compensation process for completeness, improved the vertical hand movement and the fist shape recognition methods for the example selection and presented an organized test to measure the recognition performance. The implemented quiz application program was tested in real time and showed very satisfactory gesture recognition results.

  • The role of call center as public organizations introduce call center in has become very important in public services. Especially the leadership of the middle management at the call center in public organizations has become very essential in accordance with the increase of role of teamleader or managers. For this reason, in this research we want to know not only the impact relation teamleader's leadership have on the quality of services and job satisfaction as call center counsellors feel but also the impact relation the quality of callcenter counsellor's services at callcenter have on job satisfaction, and the mediating effect of services quality is examined in the relationship between leadership and job satisfaction Analyses showed that teamleader's leadership have influence on callcenter counsellors' job satisfaction and the quality of services and the quality of employees' services have a positive influence on job satisfaction, the mediating effect of services quality is certified in the relationship between leadership and job satisfaction. Therefore, to encourage the teamleaders' leadership at callcenter, the empowerment and an appropriate compensation need to be provided. Also to improve the quality of employee's services teamleaders ought to run the reinforcing cooperation program or various incentive program and job education need to be encourage and aligned.

The Effects of Individual and Environmental Characteristics of Secondary-school Teachers on Teacher Efficacy and Job Satisfaction (중등교사의 개인 특성과 환경 특성이 교사효능감과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was executed to verify the effects of individual and environmental characteristics of secondary-school teachers on teacher efficacy and job satisfaction. To do so, a survey of teacher efficacy and job satisfaction was conducted to 696 man and woman teachers from 55 secondary schools in Gwangju and Jeonnam province, and then the results of the survey were analyzed. In this study, teacher efficacy was composed as four factors: sense of calling, teaching-learning, colleague relation and school organization. And job satisfaction was categorized as three factors: job relation, compensation system and working environment. The Multivariate analysis results showed a significant difference in teacher efficacy and job satisfaction according to teachers' individual characteristics and working environment. Conclusively, teacher efficacy and job satisfaction are complicated factors formed by teachers' individual and environmental characteristics. To improve secondary-school teachers' teacher efficacy and job satisfaction, it is necessary to develop training and education programs reflecting individual and environmental characteristics.

환경기초시설(環境基礎施設)의 적정규모(適正規模)와 정책적(政策的) 시사점(示唆點)

  • 환경기초시설에 대한 투자가 우리나라 총 환경관련 예산의 80%이상을 차지하고 있다는 사실에서도 알 수 있듯이, 수질 폐기물의 관리를 위한 기초시설의 건립과 운영은 환경정책의 가장 중요한 부분인 동시에 대규모의 재원을 필요로 하는 사업이며, 따라서 비용극소화를 위한 많은 노력이 요구된다. 환경기초시설의 설치 운영에 소용되는 비용은 크게 두 부류로 나누어지는데, 설치비와 운영비에는 규모의 경제가 있어서 규모가 큰 시설일수록 평균비용이 감소하는 반면, 수거운반비와 보상비는 규모가 큰 시설일수록 평균비용이 증가한다. 따라서 총비용은 시설규모의 U자형 함수가 될 것이며, 이 논문의 목적은 각 비용요소를 계량화하여 환경기초시설의 적정규모, 즉 총비용을 극소화시키는 시설규모를 도출하기 위한 모형을 제시하는 것이다. 이 논문에서 제시한 모형은 수학적으로 단순하여 현실 문제에 쉽게 적용할 수 있으며, 간단한 컴퓨터 프로그램을 통하여 적정규모를 계산하고 비용분석을 할 수 있다. 이 모형을 우리나라의 소각시설에 적용한 결과 다음과 같은 정책적 시사점들을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 생활폐기물의 수거운반비가 1,500원/톤/km이고 가구들이 폐기물 관리지역내에 고르게 분포되어 있다고 가정할 때에 총소각비용을 최소화하기 위해서는 약 23만 가구당 처리용량이 830톤/일인 소각장을 설치 운영하여야 하며, 이때에 폐기물 단위당 처리비용은 약 100원/kg이다. 둘째, 가구당 폐기물발생량과 인구밀도의 지역간 차이로 인하여 적정규모 역시 지역간 차이가 있으며, 우리나라에서는 도시지역일수록 규모가 큰 시설이 효율적이다. 셋째, 폐기물 처리사업은 오염의 원인과 수익의 주체가 분명하므로 처리에 소요되는 비용은 가계가 부담하여야 하며, 이를 위하여 현재의 쓰레기봉투가격을 인상하여야 한다. 넷째, 현재 폐기물 처리시설의 설치 운영이 공공부문에 의하여 이루어지고 있어 이를 민영화하는 것이 바람직한데, 그 이유는 환경기초시설의 적정규모를 도출함에 있어 핵심사항인 비용에 관한 정보를 관련 분야의 민간부문이 더 많이 가지고 있을 가능성이 높으며, 입찰을 통하여 사업자를 선정할 경우 가장 효율적인 기업에 의한 설치 운영이 가능하기 때문이다. 이를 위하여 쓰레기봉투가격의 인상과 함께, 폐기물의 처리가 행정구역에 연계되어 이루어지고 있는 현재의 제도 역시 폐지되어야 한다.

Meta Analysis of Social Worker's Factor of Burnout (사회복지사 소진 요인에 관한 메타분석)

  • In this research, we conducted meta analysis of the cases of "burnout" of social workers from the 1990s to 2013. The result of analysis shows that the factors that cause burnout of social workers include work experience, compensation from work environment, supervision, promotion, work freedom-related factors and client-related factors such as the seriousness of client problems, the appropriateness of client counts, and all factors excluding client-related factors showed signficaint correlatoins. Moreover, the higher the age and the length of work experience, the lower the sense of self-wroth and emotional intelligence; the higher the social support, the lower the possibility of burn out. The research results suggest need for programs to prevent burn out of social service providers both in environment internal and external to organizatoins.

A Study on Drug awareness information, Usage and Misusage on Elderly Inpatients of Veterans Hospital (보훈병원입원노인환자의 약물정보인식, 약물사용 및 오용실태에 관한 연구)

  • This study is descriptive research, attempts to determine the status of elderly inpatients of veterans hospital' of drug awareness information, drug use status and drug Misusage. The subjects were 220 patients of aged 65 and over only five metropolitan areas nationwide in drug use in the Veterans Hospital, national merit, the study is from May to June. SPSS Win 18.0 program was used as the data analysis and a statistical statement by mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a results, there was showed a statistically significant level 'age', 'type of marriage', 'education', 'triage', 'health status' as the general characteristics of the subjects. It showed the 'age' of the variables that influence recognition in the area of drug awareness information, and drug Misusage and drug use status factors seemed to affect the 'health status'. Therefore, It need for a comparative study of elderly inpatients and inpatients of veterans hospital, the research should be qualitative research of veterans medical services to the on reasonable support measures in the Veterans Affairs health care system and national merit.
