A Monte Carlo Simulation Approach on Supply Chain Dynamics (공급 사슬망의 동력학 문제에 대한 몬테카를로 모사에 기반한 연구)

  • Supply chain management (SCM) has been drawn increasing attention in industries and academia. The attention is mainly due to a need to integrate the multiple activities in a process network from the overall perspective under the constantly varying economic environment. While many researchers have been addressing various issues of SCM, there is not much research explicitly handling the overall dynamics of supply chain entities from PSE literature. In this two-part series paper, it is investigated how the overall supply chain processing times vary in response to the variation of individual entities using Monte Carlo simulation. Instead of figuring out the operation levels of individual entities, the overall operation time called TAT(Turn-Around-Time) is proposed as a performance indicator. An example of 7 entity-supply chain is presented to illustrate the proposed methodology.

  • 고도의 산업화에 따라 도시의 성장과 인구의 밀집으로 인하여 물의 수요가 증가하고 이에 따라 각종 오염원의 유입이 증가함에 따라서 적절한 수질 관리에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 그리고 산업이 다양화됨에 따라 배출되는 하 폐수의 특성도 다양해져 기존의 수질처리장은 효율적인 처리를 하는데 있어 많은 어려움이 발생되고 있다. 굴 패각은 하수처리의 담체로 이용할 경우 살수여상의 문제점 중 하나로 나타나는 막힘 현상을 다소 감소시킬 수 있고, 다공질체로서 표면적이 불규칙하고 비표면적이 크기 때문에 반응기내에 공기를 원활하게 공급할 수 있으며, 중금속 이온과 유기물에 대한 흡착 효율이 뛰어나 미생물이 쉽게 부착, 성장할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 천연광물질은 전 세계적으로 발견되어 활용된 역사가 짧지만, 그 특징은 산소결핍보충, 유해원소 흡착 성능, 반도체 작용, 인체 면역력 강화, 바이러스성 질병의 예방, 중금속 해독 등의 다양한 특징으로 환경호르몬 제고, 음이온 원적외선 발생으로 세포의 노화방지, 인체 노폐물 제거와 같은 특징을 지닌 매우 유용한 자원으로 확인되고 있으며, 수질정화 능력이 탁월한 것으로 보고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 어촌폐기물인 굴 패각과 수질정화에 탁월한 천연 광물질을 혼합하여 경제적이고, 효율성이 높은 다공성 수질개선 담체를 개발하고, 수목여과용 비점오염시설 장치에 적용하여 혼합 담체가 수처리 시설의 담체로서 사용이 가능한지, 수목여과용 비점오염시설 장치에 적용할 수 있는지 검토하고자 수행하였다. 이 연구는 2017년 중소기업청 기술개발사업에서 연구지원을 받아 연구되었습니다.

A Convergence Study on Disaster Awareness, Disaster Preparedness, and Ego-resilience of Nursing Students (간호학생의 재난인식, 재난준비도 및 자아탄력성에 관한 융합연구)

  • This study was conducted to identify disaster awareness, disaster preparedness, and ego-resilience in the college of nursing students', and to analyze correlation between study variables. The study subjects were 300 nursing students in four universities in two cities. Data were collected between April 1 and April 30, 2019 using by completing structured self report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using T-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS/WIN 22.0. In correlation analysis, significant positive correlations were found between disaster awareness, disaster preparedness, and ego-resilience. Therefore, we propose to develop convergence education programs to imp rove disaster awareness, disaster preparedness, and ego-resilience in order to improve competency related to disaster management of nursing students.

  • This experimental work is aimed to find that there is any industrial potentiality of tussah silk reeling service. The obtained results are as follows. (1) The physical nature of tussah cocoon and its silk was investigated as prelim. (2) The best silk and chemical reeling ratio of tussah cocoon was obtained in case of using 3,000 time diluted NaOH during one hour boiling process. (3) The reeling efficiency of dupion type silk (37.5g/hr) was found as a better process than that of the normal type of silk (10g/hr). (4) It is believed that there is still possibility to increase the silk reeling ratio of tussah cocoon and to industrialize the tussah silk reeling in case of processing as dupion type silk.

  • Gartner에 따르면 현재 IT산업에서 배출하는 Co2의양은 전 세계 배출량의 2%에 해당하고, 국내 IT기기의 탄소 배출량은 1,750만톤, 2012년에는 2,110만 톤으로 증가할 것으로 예상하고 있다. 이 중 전 세계 기업의 전산설지 전력 소비량은 1척억kWh가 소모되고 있으며, 서버의 전력소모량은 매년 20%씩 증가할 것으로 보고 있다. 또한 IT 시설물은 이산화탄소가 배출되는 7%의 가장 높은 비율을 차지하고 있다. 이에 따라 에너지 경비 절감 및 효율성을 높이고 탄소 배출량 감소를 위한 기술 및 솔루션 개발을 위한 그린 IT기술의 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 IT 시설물의 에너지 사용량을 실시간으로 확인, 온 습도 센서를 통한 자료 분석을 통하여 대상시설에 맞는 탄소배출량을 환산하여, 이를 활용한 에너지 시설의 제어를 통해 탄소배출과 경비를 절감시키는 시스템이 스마트탄소 통합관제시스템이다. 그리하여 본 논문에서는 통신 프로토콜 단에서부터 '관제'시스템의 성격에 맞고, 저장소의 공간을 효율적이고, 탄소 배출량을 감축시키는데 일조하는 스마트탄소 통합관제시스템의 프로토콜을 설계하고, 이를 테스트 하였다.

A Study on the Trend of Technology Development Related to Smart Car Security ; Based on Patent Analysis (특허분석을 통한 국내외 스마트카 보안 기술개발 동향 연구)

  • This study conducted a patent analysis to explore the trend of technology development in the field of smart car security. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that along with the growth of the smart car market, the development of smart car security related technology is also increasing. In particular, as related technology development has been rapidly taking place in recent years, it has been confirmed that competition among leading smart car countries and major companies is also expanding due to the commercialization of smart car. This study is meaningful in that it examines trends related to smart car security through quantitative analysis using patent data and presents implications accordingly.

Conservation and Utilization of Forest Life Resources in Jeju (제주지역 산림생명자원의 보존과 활용)

  • 제주는 면적에 비해 생물종다양성이 높은 지역으로 평가된다. 한반도 자생 관속식물은 4,500여종으로 이 중 50%에 달하는 2,200종이 제주에 분포하고 있으며 최근 30년간 80여종의 미기록 식물이 출현하였다. 이러한 특성은 선태식물과 산림버섯 분야에서도 유사하게 나타나는 것으로 지리적 위치, 기후적 조건, 한라산으로 인한 수직 식생 분포, 특이산림생태계로 인한 입지 환경의 다양성과 관련이 있다. 동시에 제주는 희귀 및 유용 산림생명자원의 보고이다. 제주에서 수집하여 종의 실체를 확인한 2,167종을 대상으로 희귀성과 유용성을 평가한 결과 제주고사리삼, 구상나무, 갯취 등의 희귀·특산 식물이 400종, 흑오미자, 제주백서향, 황칠나무 등의 유용식물이 781종에 달하였다. 또한 제주는 우리나라에서 기후변화에 가장 민감한 지역으로 동북아시아 기후변화의 요충지로 전망되고 있다. 한라산의 구상나무가 쇠퇴하는 등 이상 징후가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며 동북아시아 아열대 최북한계지로서 한반도 생물지리의 징검다리 역할을 하기 때문이다. 따라서 나고야의정서 발효와 기후위기로 산림생명자원의 보존과 활용의 중요성이 더욱 강조되고 있는 현재의 시점에서 제주는 우선 연구 대상지라 해도 과언이 아니다. 이에 국립산림과학원 난대·아열대산림연구소는 절멸 위기에 처한 종의 보존과 유용 산림생명자원의 활용 기반 마련을 위해 수집 및 탐색-빅데이터 기반 구축-증식기술 개발-현지내·외보존원 조성 및 관리 기술 개발 등의 일련의 연구를 20년 이상 수행해 왔다. 여기에서는 제주지역 산림생명자원의 가치와 함께 보존과 활용 연구 성과를 소개하고 향후 연구 방향을 제안함으로써 산림 바이오 소재 산업화와 관련된 학계와 임업인 및 기업에 도움이 되고자 한다.

CEO's Political Independence, Board Chair Separation, Executive's Expertise, and Performance in State-Owned Enterprises (공기업 CEO의 정치적 독립성, 이사회 의장 분리, 임원의 전문성과 성과)

  • Considering the relationship between state-owned enterprise (SOE) CEOs and political circles, this study examines the performance impacts of CEO's succession type, board chair separation, and industry expertise and finance expertise of CEOs and outside directors. I propose the definition of political independence in SOE CEOs based on the independence in appearance that might affect general people's perception. It means that there are no relationships or circumstances that might affect SOE CEO's judgment, activity, and report. The definition is able to overcome the limitations of the prior research that could not discover the CEOs who were affiliated to political circles because the research just distinguished the CEOs following their pre-jobs. This study focused on the performance impacts of political independence impaired CEO as well as the CEO's impacts on the relationship between the performance and other corporate governance variables. I selected as dependent variables the average return on asset as operating income divided by total assets and the average customer satisfaction rate evaluated by Korean government during the first three years following the year of the events of explanatory variables. My theory and evidence from the various CEO's personal background and financial information from SOEs in Lee Myung-bak Administration and Rho Moo-hyun Administration suggest the following important things. First, the analysis based on whether or not a SOE CEO keeps political independence shows that a political independence impaired CEO made a significantly negative impact on customer satisfaction rate. Second, the separation between a board chair and a CEO in SOEs introduced by Korean Act on Management of Public Institutions made a significantly positive impact on customer satisfaction rate. However, the positive impact of the board chair separation was removed in a political independence impaired CEO's SOE. Third, outside director's industry expertise made a significantly positive impact on return on asset. However, the positive impact of the outside director's industry expertise was removed in a political independence impaired CEO's SOE. Fourth, the comparison between Lee Myung-bak Administration and Roh Moo-hyun Administration on the corporate governance and performance of SOEs shows that the ratio of political independence impaired CEO was significantly higher in Lee Administration and the ratio of outside director's industry expertise and finance expertise were respectively significantly higher in Roh Administration. Based on these results, I suggested a few policy alternatives for CEO's improved political independence and requirements for executive's expertise in SOEs.

An Overview of Readjustment Measures Against the Banking Industry's Non-Performing Loans (은행부실채권(銀行不實債權) 정리방안(整理方案)에 대한 고찰(考察))

  • Currently, Korea's banking industry holds a sizable amount of non-performing loans which stem from the government-led bailout of many troubled firms in the 1980s. Although this burden was somewhat relieved with the aid of banks' recapitalization in the booming securities market between 1986-88, the insolvent credits still resulted in low profitability in the banking sector and have been detrimental to the progress of financial liberalization and internationalization. This paper surveys the corporate bailout experiences of major advanced countries and Korea in the past and derives a rationale for readjustment measures against non-performing loans, in which rescue plans depend on the nature of the financial system. Considering the features of Korea's financial system and the banking sector's recent performance, it discusses possible means of liquidation in keeping with the rationale. The conflict of interests among parties involved in non-performing loans is widely known as one of the major constraints in writing off the loans. Specifically, in the case of Korea, the government's excessive intervention in allocating credits has preempted the legitimate role of the banking sector, which now only passively manages its past loans, and has implicitly confused private with public risk. This paper argues that to minimize the incidence of insolvent loan readjustment, the government's role should be reduced and that the correspondent banks should be more active in the liquidation process, through the market mechanism, reflecting their access to detailed information on the troubled firms. One solution is that banks, after classifying the insolvent loans by the lateness or possibility of repayment, would swap the relatively sound loans for preferred stock and gradually write off the bad ones by expanding the banks' retained earnings and revaluing the banks' assets. Specifically, the debt-equity swap can benefit both creditors and debtors in the sense that it raises the liquidity and profitability of bank assets and strengthens the debtor's financial structure by easing the debt service burden. Such a creditor-led or market-led solution improves the financial strength and autonomy of the banking sector, thereby fostering more efficient resource allocation and risk sharing.
