Vibrato corresponds to a modulation of frequency and is one of the most frequently used techniques to enrich vocal and musical instrument sounds. Whereas the fundamental frequency trajectories of vibrato tones are generally modeled as a sinusoid, they are sometimes observed to be non-sinusoidal. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the characteristics of non-sinusoidal fundamental frequency trajectories of vibrato sounds. The proposed method performs Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)-based harmonic analysis on the frequency trajectory, analyzes vibrato parameters, and calculates a sinusoid purity factor. We applied the proposed method to flute, viola, and saxophone vibrato tones, whose results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
The purpose of this was to investigate the measurement of fluence dose map for the specific patient quality assurance. The measurement of fluence map was performed using 2D matrixx detector. The absorbed dose was measured by a glass detector, Gafchromic film and ion chamber in Hybrid Optimized VMAT Phantom (HOVP). For 2D Matrixx, the results of comparison were average passing rate $85.22%{\pm}1.7$ (RT_Target), $89.96%{\pm}2.15$ (LT_Target) and $95.14%{\pm}1.18$ (G4). The dose difference was $11.72%{\pm}0.531$, $-11.47%{\pm}0.991$, $7.81%{\pm}0.857$, $-4.14%{\pm}0.761$ at the G1, G2, G3, G4. In HOVP, the results of comparison for film were average passing rate (3%, 3 mm) $93.64%{\pm}3.87$, $90.82%{\pm}0.99$. We were measured an absolute dose in steep gradient area G1, G2, G3, G4 using the glass detector. The difference between the measurement and calculation are 8.3% (G1), -5.4% (G2), 6.1% (G3), 7.2% (G4). The using an Ion-chamber were an average relative dose error $-1.02%{\pm}0.222$ (Rt_target), $0.96%{\pm}0.294$ (Lt_target). Though we need a more study using a transmission detector. However, a measurement of real-time fluence map will be predicting a dose for real-time specific patient quality assurance in volume modulated arc therapy.

Chaos communication system is one of the security algorithms that is applied to improve the security. Chaos signal is non-linear, and it is generated randomly according to the initial conditions. Also, chaos communication system has characteristics such as non-periodic, wide-band, non-predictability of signals and easy implementation. So, security of chaos communication system is superior, and it has low interception probability and good anti-jamming characteristic. However, BER performance is worse than digital communication system, because it has many self interference signal in case of CDSK system. To improve these disadvantages, we analyze the PDF trend which can improve the BER performance in existing study, and we proposed a chaos map. And, proposed chaos map was defined as the 'Boss map'. Generally, BER performance is changed according to initial values, parameters and spreading factors. Therefore, in this paper, we will introduce PDF trends which can improve the BER performance, and will describe about Boss map. Also, characteristics of Boss map is analyzed by evaluating the BER performance of Boss map according to initial values, parameters and spreading factors. As a result, while maintaining the similar BER performance, initial value of Boss map can be selected from 0 to 1.2, and BER performance is best when parameter alpha is 2.5. Also, BER performance is best when spreading factor is 50.

A modulation transfer function(MTF) tree is established to estimate the overall MTF of an observation satellite and to analyze the image performance. Basic MTF models relevant to each MTF tree component are represented as mathematical relationship between optics-structural dynamics, thermal deformation, attitude and dynamic characteristics of a satellite and the effects due to the space environment. The Basic MTF models consist of diffraction limited MTF with central obscuration, aberration, defocus, line-of-sight(LOS) jitter, linear motion, detector integration, and so forth. Performance estimation is demonstrated for a virtual earth-observation satellite in order to validate the constructed modeling method. The proposed models enable the system engineers to calculate the overall system MTF and to determine the crucial design parameters that affect the image performance in the conceptual design phase of an observation satellite.

Communication environments in the context of underwater channel are characterized to be bad by the characteristics of multipath. Multipaths are affected by various factors e.g. the temperature and the salinity of the ocean. In this paper, the representative sound speed profiles were calculated in the southern part of Baengnyeoung island so that the eigen-ray paths with the channel impulse responses were determined using the average sound speed profile of last decade. The performance of underwater communication was analyzed using the BPSK modulation and time reversal method. The significant differences of results were shown according to the change of season and carrier frequency by using computer simulation. In addition, improved performance is obtained using preprocess channel impulse response for the better comparison of two cases of summer and autumn.

An 8192-point pipelined FFT/IFFT processor core is designed, which can be used in multi-carrier modulation systems such as DUf-based VDSL modem and OFDM-based DVB system. In order to improve the signal-to-quantization-noise ratio (SQNR) of FFT/IFFT results, two-step convergent block floating-point (TS_CBFP) scaling is employed. Since the proposed TS_CBFP scaling does not require additional buffer memory, it reduces memory as much as about 80% when compared with conventional CBFP methods, resulting in area-and power-efficient implementation. The SQNR of about 60-㏈ is achieved with 10-bit input, 14-bit internal data and twiddle factors, and 16-bit output. The core synthesized using 0.25-$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS library has about 76,300 gates, 390K bits RAM, and twiddle factor ROM of 39K bits. Simulation results show that it can safely operate up to 50-㎒ clock frequency at 2.5-V supply, resulting that a 8192-point FFT/IFFT can be computed every 164-${\mu}\textrm{s}$. It was verified by Xilinx FPGA implementation.
Food safety accidents have been increasing by 2% over 5,000 cases every year since 2009. Most people know that the best method to prevent food safety accidents is a quick inspection, but there is a lack of inspection technology that can be used at the non-analytic level to food production and distribution sites. Among the recent on-site diagnostic technologies, the methods for testing gene-based food poisoning bacteria were introduced with the STA technology, which can range from sample to detection. If food safety information can be generated without forgery by directly inspecting food hazard factors by remote, unmanned, not human, pollution sources can be managed by predicting risks more accurately from current big-data and artificial intelligence technology. Since this information processing can be used on smartphones using the current cloud technology, it is judged that it can be used for food safety to small food businesses or catering services.

Purpose : To setup procedures of quality assurance (OA) for implementing intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) clinically, report OA procedures peformed for one patient with prostate cancer. Materials and methods : $P^3IMRT$ (ADAC) and linear accelerator (Siemens) with multileaf collimator are used to implement IMRT. At first, the positional accuracy, reproducibility of MLC, and leaf transmission factor were evaluated. RTP commissioning was peformed again to consider small field effect. After RTP recommissioning, a test plan of a C-shaped PTV was made using 9 intensity modulated beams, and the calculated isocenter dose was compared with the measured one in solid water phantom. As a patient-specific IMRT QA, one patient with prostate cancer was planned using 6 beams of total 74 segmented fields. The same beams were used to recalculate dose in a solid water phantom. Dose of these beams were measured with a 0.015 cc micro-ionization chamber, a diode detector, films, and an array detector and compared with calculated one. Results : The positioning accuracy of MLC was about 1 mm, and the reproducibility was around 0.5 mm. For leaf transmission factor for 10 MV photon beams, interleaf leakage was measured $1.9\%$ and midleaf leakage $0.9\%$ relative to $10\times\;cm^2$ open filed. Penumbra measured with film, diode detector, microionization chamber, and conventional 0.125 cc chamber showed that $80\~20\%$ penumbra width measured with a 0.125 cc chamber was 2 mm larger than that of film, which means a 0.125 cc ionization chamber was unacceptable for measuring small field such like 0.5 cm beamlet. After RTP recommissioning, the discrepancy between the measured and calculated dose profile for a small field of $1\times1\;cm^2$ size was less than $2\%$. The isocenter dose of the test plan of C-shaped PTV was measured two times with micro-ionization chamber in solid phantom showed that the errors upto $12\%$ for individual beam, but total dose delivered were agreed with the calculated within $2\%$. The transverse dose distribution measured with EC-L film was agreed with the calculated one in general. The isocenter dose for the patient measured in solid phantom was agreed within $1.5\%$. On-axis dose profiles of each individual beam at the position of the central leaf measured with film and array detector were found that at out-of-the-field region, the calculated dose underestimates about $2\%$, at inside-the-field the measured one was agreed within $3\%$, except some position. Conclusion : It is necessary more tight quality control of MLC for IMRT relative to conventional large field treatment and to develop QA procedures to check intensity pattern more efficiently. At the conclusion, we did setup an appropriate QA procedures for IMRT by a series of verifications including the measurement of absolute dose at the isocenter with a micro-ionization chamber, film dosimetry for verifying intensity pattern, and another measurement with an array detector for comparing off-axis dose profile.

The purpose of this study was to develop a system of clinical application of reconstructed dose that includes dose reconstruction, reconstructed dose registration between fractions of treatment, and dose-volume-histogram generation and to demonstrate the system on a deformable prostate phantom. To achieve this purpose, a deformable prostate phantom was embedded into a 20 cm-deep and 40 cm-wide water phantom. The phantom was CT scanned and the anatomical models of prostate, seminal vesicles, and rectum were contoured. A coplanar 4-field intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plan was used for this study. Organ deformation was simulated by inserting a "transrectal" balloon containing 20 ml of water. A new CT scan was obtained and the deformed structures were contoured. Dose responses in phantoms and electronic portal imaging device (EPID) were calculated by using the XVMC Monte Carlo code. The IMRT plan was delivered to the two phantoms and integrated EPID images were respectively acquired. Dose reconstruction was performed on these images using the calculated responses. The deformed phantom was registered to the original phantom using an in-house developed software based on the Demons algorithm. The transfer matrix for each voxel was obtained and used to correlate the two sets of the reconstructed dose to generate a cumulative reconstructed dose on the original phantom. Forwardly calculated planning dose in the original phantom was compared to the cumulative reconstructed dose from EPID in the original phantom. The prescribed 200 cGy isodose lines showed little difference with respect to the "prostate" and "seminal vesicles", but appreciable difference (3%) was observed at the dose level greater than 210 cGy. In the rectum, the reconstructed dose showed lower volume coverage by a few percent than the plan dose in the dose range of 150 to 200 cGy. Through this study, the system of clinical application of reconstructed dose was successfully developed and demonstrated. The organ deformation simulated in this study resulted in small but observable dose changes in the target and critical structure.
