A Study on the Gap Estimation Circuit Design of the Magnetic Levitation System (자기 부상계의 변위추정 회로설계에 관한 연구)

  • The magnetic levitation system is utilized in the magnetic bearing of high-speed rotor because of little friction, no lubrication, no noise and so on. The magnetic levitation system need the feedback controller for the stabilization of system, and gap sensors are generally used to measure the gap. The use of gap sensors brings out the increase of the number of troublesome, and the decrease of the control performance because of the dislocation between the measurement point and the control point. This paper presents the design of the gap estimation circuit for the sensorless method proposed by authors in the magnetic levitation system. We made the gap estimation circuit which was composed of both the superposition circuit and the measuring circuit. And we investigated the validity of the usefulness of the proposed sensorless method in the magnetic levitation system through results of actual experiment.

  • 본 연구에서의 측정 대상인 공주지점은 금강 본류로 홍수 예 경보 지점이며, 그 하상이 대부분 모래로 구성된 충적하천으로 간주된다. 유사량 측정은 강우가 집중되는 6$\sim$9월의 홍수기(25회)와 이를 기준으로 전 후시기인 저 평수기(2회)로 나누어 총 27회로 측정하였고 부유사량(D-74, P-61A: 수심적분법), 하상토(BM-54, 홍수기전 후 2회 채취), 수리량(수위, 유속, 측정수심, 수면폭, 수면경사, 수온)등의 실측자료를 이용하여 미측정구간의 유사량을 포함한 총유사량을 추정(실측+계산; Modified Einstein, 간접계산; Engelund & Hansen, Yang, Ackers & White)하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 가지고 유량-부유사농도와 부유사량 및 총유사량 관계에 대해 살펴보았다. 전체적으로 유량에 대한 측정성과들의 변위와 저유량시 산포도에 있어 다소 큰 경향을 보였고, 주요 강우사상별로 보았을 때 루프(Loop)현상을 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 분석결과의 상충은 하천의 수리, 유사특성과 추정방법의 적용한계 등의 서로 다른 제한된 범위의 자료들을 이용하여 분석하는 데서 오는 차이, 특히 유량, 수심, 하상토의 입경크기 등 자료의 범위가 추정공식들이 추천하는 범위에서 벗어났기 때문인데, 이는 총유사량 공식에 대한 범용성이 적다는 것을 의미한다.

  • In this paper, the lumped element model parameter estimation method and its implemented estimation software for fabricated floating mass transducers of IMEHDs have been presented so that the estimated parameter values could be compared with the designed ones and applied to predict the output performance when the transducers were implanted into human ears. The presented method is based on the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) for estimating parameters in the transducer's lumped model and has been implemented by the use of LabVIEW graphical language. Using the implemented estimation software, the accuracy of parameter estimation has been verified and our implemented estimation method has been evaluated by the comparison of the estimated transducer parameter values with the designed ones for a practically fabricated floating mass transducer for IMEHDs.

An Efficient Motion Estimation Method Using Hierarchical Structure (계층적 구조를 이용한 효율적인 변위 추정 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a motion estimation algorithm using hierarchical structure. The algorithm uses the image pyramids from the repetitive application of Gaussian filtering and decimation, and performs an inter-level displacement propagation in its motion estimation process. The motion estimation algorithm based on the hierarchical structure is shown to be very effective since this scheme utilizes the local imformation as well as the global imformation. The experimental results on the various data imdicate that compared to the Horn and Schunck's method, the proposed algorithm yields an accurate motion estimation with a fast convergence behaviour.

  • Generally, it is essential to estimate exact disparity for the 3D modeling from stereo images. Because existing methods calculate disparities from a whole image, they require too much cimputational time and bring about the mismatching problem. In this article, using the characteristic that the disparity vectors in stereo images are distributed not equally in a whole image but only exist about the background and obhect, we do a wavelet transformation on stereo images and estimate coarse disparity fields from the reduced lowpass field using area-based method at first-step. From these coarse disparity vectors, we generate disparity histogram and then separate object from background area using it. Afterwards, we restore only object area to the original image and estimate dense and accurate disparity by our two-step pixel-based method which does not use pixel brightness but use second gradient. We also extract feature points from the separated object area and estimate depth information by applying disparity vectors and camera parameters. Finally, we generate 3D model using both feature points and their z coordinates. By using our proposed, we can considerably reduce the computation time and estimate the precise disparity through the additional pixel-based method using LOG filter. Furthermore, our proposed foreground/background method can solve the mismatching problem of existing Delaunay triangulation and generate accurate 3D model.

  • Typically, local methods for stereo matching are fast but have relatively low degree of accuracy while global ones, though costly, can achieve a higher degree of accuracy in retrieving disparity information. Recently, some local methods like the ones based on segmentation or adaptive weights are suggested which achieve more accuracy than global ones. These newly suggested local methods that can estimate more accurate disparity information cannot be easily used since they require more computational costs which increase in proportion to the window size they use. In this paper, we propose the method by using distance weights and pixel difference weights similar to those of the bilateral filter. Specifically, we present constant time O(1) algorithm for the case the distance weights are equal. The suggested method requires constant time for computation regardless of the used window size. Furthermore, experiments show that the matching performance of our method is as good as the ones of other recent methods.

Combined Active Contour Model and Motion Estimation for Real-Time Object Tracking (능동윤곽모델과 움직임 추정을 결합한 실시간 객체 추적 기술)

  • In this paper we proposed a combined active contour model and motion estimation-based object tracking technique. After assigning the initial contour, we find the object's boundary and update the initial contour by using object's motion information. In the following frames, similar snake algorithm is repeated to make continuously estimated object's region. The snake algerian plays a role in separating the object from background, while motion estimation provides object's moving direction and displacement. The proposed algorithm provides equivalently stable, robust, tracking performance with significantly reduced amount of computation, compared with the existing shape model-based algorithms.

A Study on the Behaviour of Jacket Anchor (자켓앵커 거동특성에 관한 연구)

  • A series of field tests were performed to investigate the behavior of jacket anchor and to evaluate the ultimate bond stress of jacket anchor. From twelve sets of field tests on the jacket anchor and general type ground anchor, it was observed that the pullout resistance of jacket anchor is significantly larger than that of the ground anchor and that the plastic deformation of jacket anchor is significantly smaller than that of general ground anchor at the same loading cycle. Especially in gravel layers, the jacket anchor provides more than 250% increase in ultimate resistance and more than 600% reduction in plastic deformation, compared with the general ground anchor. Finally, the relationship between the injection pressure and overburden pressure is proposed to determine the optimum injection pressure, based on additional field test results.

  • 본 연구에서는 2020년 산사태가 발생한 곡성지역을 대상으로 무인항공기 사진측량을 통하여 산사태 지역의 범위와 변위를 조사하고 이를 기반으로 산사태에 의한 피해범위를 LS-RAPID에서 분석하였다. LS-RAPID는 지진과 강우의 영향을 반영하는 산사태 시뮬레이션 모델이며, 산사태 운동시작여부를 평가하며 만일 발생 시 토사의 이동, 퇴적 범위, 토사층의 깊이를 예측할 수 있다. 산사태 시뮬레이션에서 중요한 변수 중의 하나는 지중의 활동층의 깊이와 분포이다. 재해현장에서 이런 자료를 신속하고 정량적으로 측정하기 위한 방법으로서 무인항공기를 이용한 측량을 실시하였다. 또한 산사태 토사의 이동과 퇴적을 검증하기 위한 자료도 획득하였다. 매개변수의 추정 시선행연구에서 제시된 값을 참고하여, 재해현장의 피해범위와 규모를 비교하여 매개변수를 추정하여 다른 연구사례에서 이용한 값들과 비교, 분석하였다. 또한, 시뮬레이션의 지형입력자료로서 무인항공기 사진 측량자료에서 생성된 DSM(Digital Surface Model)과 수지지도에서 생성한 DEM(Digital Elevation Model)을 적용한 경우, 시뮬레이션 결과에 영향을 비교, 분석하였다. 결과적으로 DEM보다 DSM을 적용하는 것이 퇴적범위가 크게 확대되지 않으며, 현장을 잘 반영한 결과가 얻어지는 것으로 평가되었다.
