Study on the effect of 3 point belt on chest compression

  • This study suggested a method to increase the quality of chest compressions in patients with cardiac arrest during transport. When providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a cardiac arrest patient in the pre-hospital phase, the quality of chest compressions should be improved by using a three-point fixed belt to the ambulance. Because the quality of the chest compression was increased when the 119 paramedic wears a 3-point fixed belt in addition to the chest compression method. Also, paramedics are less likely to be at risk. Therefore, if a 3-point fixed belt is worn in an ambulance during transport, 119 paramedics will be able to secure safety and provide high-quality chest compressions to cardiac arrest patients.

  • This study analyzes the economic effects of reduction of green-belt. Green-belt is a kind of land which is restricted to be developed into housings. It is important for social welfare. It affects the social welfare by two routes. One way is through the housing market process. Development of green-belt into housings increases housing supplies and lowers rents. The other is that it improves the living condition by increasing green spaces. Therefore, the development of green-belt to housing can Improve or worsen the social welfare. This paper analyzes its welfare effects by simulations. The results of the paper show that reduction of green-belt increases housing supply and lowers the rent and asset prices. The social welfare is improved in the model.

  • This paper presents development of meander monitoring system base reliable detection at conveyer belt used for materials transport line of steel company. Conventional detection method is losed the confidence, because of the place with bad surroundings of measurement so much that materials production line are completely exposed to dust, moisture and vibration. For the solution of this problem, we developed infrared meander detection system using the infrared sensor array and one chip microprocessor which is available for bad surroundings and inexpensive. The reliability of the system was estimated by experiment.

  • 환경오염과 차량 성능향상에 따라서 날로 강화되는 연비규제는 차량용 변속기로서 CVT 양상 보급에 대한 필요를 앞당기고 있다. CVT는 소형차를 중심으로 일부 자동차 에이커에 의해 이미 실용화되어 있으며 일본 및 구미 자동차 각 사는 CVT에 대한 자체기술을 보유하고 경쟁성 있 는 완성품 개발을 위하여 총력을 기울이고 있는 실정이다. CVT에 대한 연구개발의 추세는 동 력전달 구동요소의 특성에 따라 벨트식과 토로이달 (Torodial)식으로 구분할 수 있으며 대부분의 경우 현재 일부 실용화 개발된 벨트식 CVT가 기술완성도가 높은 반면 토로이달롤러의 각도를 연속적으로 변환시킴으로써 무단변속을 이루는 토로이달 방식은 2000년대 이후에 양산을 목표로 일본 및 영국 등에서 개발 진행주이나 새로운 재질과 제어기술개발 등의 숙제를 안고 있다. 벨 트식의 경우 금속벨트는 지난 십 수년이상 시행착오를 겪으며 CVT용으로 개발된 전문업체의 제품이 이미 특허화되어 있기 때문에 자동차 각사는 벨트와 같은 구동요소보다는 CVT 메카니즘 설계 및 제어시스템 개발에 기술력을 투입하고 있다. 따라서 국내 CVT 개발도 이와 같은 추세를 따를 것으로 기대되고 있으나 AT와 같은 완성품으로서의 상품가치를 갖기 위하여는 CVT에 대한 보다 많은 연구개발이 필요하다고 생각된다.

  • To cope with quest to improve the fuel economy and vehicle performance, Continuously Variable Transmission with Changing the speed ratio between minimum and maximum ratio by infinite step, is more efficient than conventional multi-ratio transmission. In this paper, to investigate a specific CVT shift ratio diagram and CVT shift characteristics, CVT vehicle was tested on the proving ground and chassis dynamometer. The test results are as follows; CVT can obtain the excellent vehicle performance and fuel economy changing the shift ratio by infinite step, without rapid change of engine revolution and driving force. And CVT can set up a special shift range that obtains not only the engine brake effect but also the maximum speed driving.

  • Axial force of a V-belt CVT is investigated experimentally. The experimental results on speed ratio-torque-axial force show good agreement with the theoretical results that were obtained in the previous work. It is also found that torque capacity of the V-belt CVT increases as the axial force and the speed ratio increase. Impending slip which occurs at the maximum torque is determined via experiments for various speed ratios. Based on the impending slip region, and the theoretical curves for the speed ratio-torque-axial force relationship, an actual operating criteria for the V-belt CVT is obtained. It is suggested to use the actual operating criteria with the theoretical equations as a basic design formula for the V-belt CVT.

  • This study aims to develop the diagnostic evaluation method of the riverine ecobelt for construction, conservation, and maintenance of the riverine ecobelt. The value indices in the proposed evaluation method are composed of total 5 fields and 19 elements. The 5 fields are flood control, environmental function, growth of plants, ecobelt function, and restoration potential. Flood control field is composed of total 3 elements such as length, width, and density of green area. Environmental function field is composed of 4 elements such as park use, landscape boundary and edge, microclimate control, non-point pollution control. Growth of plants field is composed of 6 elements such as species composition, forest height, stratum structure, vine plants, plant vitality, and succession of plants. Ecobelt function field is composed of 4 elements such as longitudinal connectivity, lateral connectivity, in-stream forest or habitat, roads on bank top. Restoration potential field is composed of 2 elements such as landform and land use of the immediate vicinity. The score system ranging 1~4 was adopted. The weighting parameters of elements were unified with each other. The final grade system ranging 1~5(1: very good~5: very bad) was adopted, and the final grade was evaluated by the mean values of each field. According to the test application of the diagnostic evaluation method of the riverine ecobelt, the final grades showed effectively the real condition of each site.

A Study on the Development of Industrial Clusters in the International Science and Business Belt through the Industrial Clustering Analysis (산업 클러스터링 분석을 통한 국제과학비즈니스벨트의 클러스터 발전 방향 연구)

  • The Korean government announced plans for the International Science Business Belt as a spatial area for promoting the linkage between scientific knowledge and commercialization in 2009. R&D and entrepreneurial activities are essential for the success of the International Science Business Belt. In particular, prioritizing the types of businesses is critical at the cluster establishment stage in that this largely affects the features and development of clusters comprising the International Science Business Belt. This research aims to predict the entry and growth of firms that specialize in four industrial clusters, including Big Science Cluster, Frontier Cluster, ICT Cluster, and Bio-Healthcare Cluster. For this purpose, we employ the Swann & Prevezer's industrial clustering model to identify sectors that affect the establishment and growth of industrial clusters in the International Science Business Belt, focusing on ICT, Bio-Healthcare and Frontier clusters. Data was collected from the 2014 Korean Innovation Survey (KIS) and University Alimi for the ICT cluster, 2014 National Bio Industry Survey and University Alimi for the Bio-Healthcare Cluster, and the 2015 National Nano Convergent Industry Survey and Annual Report of Nano Technology for the Frontier cluster. Empirical results show that the ICT service sector, bio process/equipment sector, and Nano electronic sector promote clustering in other sectors. Based on the analysis results, we discuss several policy implications and strategies that can attract relevant firms for the development of industrial clusters.

An analysis of behavioral characteristics in drivers in roll-over accident (전복사고 운전자를 대상으로 자동차 안전장치에 대한 행동특성 분석)

  • This is to analyze of driver behavioral and the accident characteristics in rollover. The study period was January 2011 to May 2014 and the subject of study was 102 person who were drivers visited the emergency room. Research tool includes a damage information of the vehicle, accident mechanism, damage to the patient clinical information with the injury data from the ROAD Traffic Authority. For data analysis, SPSS 18.0 was used for t-test, ANOVA and Chi-square test. Injury Severity Score average score according to the vehicle type is 6.00 points in the smaller vehicle, at high vehicle 11.78 points, from the other vehicle that showed 14.70 points. Significant differences between the three groups did not show (P=.267). Men did not use a seat belt significantly compared to women(P=.007). Vehicle type and weather, this was no correlation with whether or not use the seat belt(P=.755, P=.793). But showed a tendency to smaller size vehicles drivers do not use a seat belt, the weather could see a little more inclined to use a seat belt rather than a sunny day. Finally, in rollover accidents as in other types of accident it was confirmed that the seat belt has a great influence on the damage.
