고강도 차체부품 제작 기술에 대한 연구 (The Study of Manufacturing Technology for Front Side Member Lower)

  • In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal front side member manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

  • In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. In this process, each pair of forming rolls installed in a forming machine play a particular role in making up the required cross-section and longitudinal shape of the product. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal roll flower model and proper roll-pass sequence can be suggested by analyzing courcenter strain and longitudinal strain according to the roll-pass with FEM simulation. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects a evaluated.

  • This system is the automatic boiler tube bending equipment which has four heads for bending the tube and the carriage for moving the tube. The system consists of two frames for transporting each moving parts, high-frequency heating equipment for heating the tube in hot bending, control panel for inputting the job data operating, remote control unit for concetration and distribution of input/output, and the monitoring system which can establish unmanned operationby receiving the bending job data via LAN form a design teamwhich produces the job data and schedule based on master production plan and diagnoses bending data change, input, whole system status, and system malfunctions. By employing this system, 30% of production improvement was achieved was achieved comparing to the existing bending system.

건축구조용 TMC 강관의 가공성능 평가 (Evaluation of Forming Performance of TMC Steel Pipes & Tubes for Building Structure)

  • 건축물이 초고층화 및 장스팬화 됨에 따라 일반 구조용 강재에 비해서 강도도 높고, 판의 두께도 두꺼워지고, 성능도 우수한 신강종이 요구된다. TMC 강재는 내진성능이 우수하며, 용접성이 뛰어나고, 판두께가 뚜꺼워도 설계기준강도를 저감할 필요가 없기 때문에 건축구조물에 널리 사용된다. 그러나 대구경 후육강관에 TMC 강재를 사용하기 위해서는 2차 가공으로 인한 물성 변화가 건축구조물 안정성에 영향을 미치는가를 검토해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 SAW로 용접한 SM520TMC 강관의 물성 열화도를 평가하였다. 이때 실험변수로는 강관 제조 프로세스와 강종으로 하였다. 실험결과 강관을 롤 벤딩이나 프레스 성형으로 제관하든지 또는 강종이 국산 SM620TMC이냐 일본산 SM520TMC 이든지에 상관없이 항복강도와 인장강도는 증가하였고, 연신율은 저하하였다.

멀티 롤 포밍 공정의 품질 안정성에 대한 해석 및 실험적 연구 (Analytical and Experimental Study on the Quality Stability of Multi Roll Forming Process)

  • 품질 향상을 위해 연속적인 소성 변형을 이용한 롤 포밍 공정에 피어싱, 벤딩, 트리밍 등 별도의 가공공정을 통합한 볼 슬라이드 레일의 멀티 롤 포밍 공정의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 하지만 프레스기의 진동 및 소음은 이 공정에서 생산되는 슬라이드 레일의 품질 저하를 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 롤 포밍 유한요소 프로그램으로 최적 변형률을 고려하여 롤을 설계하였다. 그리고 멀티 공정의 정적 안정성을 예측하기 위해 구조해석 프로그램으로 프레스기에 대한 응력 및 변형량을 계산하였다. 또한 공진영역에서의 장치들의 운전을 회피하기 위해 Modal 해석을 통해 1, 2차 모드에서의 고유진동수를 계산하였다. 그 결과 공정의 동적 안정성 개선을 확인하기 위해 마이크로폰과 가속도계를 이용하여 기존 및 연구 공정들의 소음, 진동의 크기를 비교하였다. 그리고 기존 및 연구 공정으로 생산되어진 레일의 폭 치수와 표면거칠기를 측정하였다. 따라서 해석 및 실험적 연구를 통해 멀티 롤 포밍 공정이 안정하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

곡가공을 위한 변곡 곡면의 판정 (Determination of plates with inflection lines for hull plate forming)

  • Hull plate consists of various types of curved plates and there also exists corresponding processing methods. Typically, curved plates can be divided into convex type and saddle type. Large amount of research has been conducted mainly focusing on application of processing method of convex type, saddle type and hybrid type, but research on determination and processing method application of the most difficult S-shaped curved plate that has inflection lines has not been carried out yet. In this paper, as the fundamental research of appropriate processing method application, a calculation method is proposed to calculate inflection lines on curved plates. In order to calculate inflection lines, normal curvature and information of fabricated curved plates should be utilized. We compare the workability of the fabrication for hull plate using inflection line.

슬리브 스프링 형식 비틀림 진동감쇠기 제조를 위한 공정해석 및 시험 (Process Analysis and Test for Manufacturing the Sleeve Spring Type-Torsional Vibration Damper)

  • In diesel engines, it is inevitable that the torsional vibration is produced by the fluctuation of engine torque. Therefore, it is necessary to establish preventive measures to diminish the torsional vibration. The sleeve spring type damper is one of the preventive measures for reducing the torsional vibration. In this study, the closed form equations to predict the spring constant of a sleeve spring and the torsional characteristics of the torsional vibration damper are proposed to calculate stiffness of the damper and verified their availability through the finite element analysis and experiments. And the stability of the sleeve spring torsional vibration damper is verified by analyzing the inner star and outer star, which are the core parts of the damper, and 2-roll bending process is proposed to manufacture sleeve spring. The program to calculate the initial radius including spring-back effect is developed, and the FEA method to analyze elasto-plastic problem was verified through analysis of 90$^{\circ}$bending process. The results of the analysis are in good agreements with those of the experiments. The newly proposed method can be used as an advanced technique that remarkably curtails cost of production and replaces the conventional forming.

In this study, 2-roll bending process was proposed to manufacture sleeve spring; The program to calculate the initial radius including springback effect was developed and the FEA method to analyze elasto-plastic problem was verified through analysis of 90 degree bending process. The elasto-plastic analysis of 2-roll bending process was carried out by the FEA method verified to set a new criterion, and the new process design parameter(contact angle) in the 2-roll bending process was proposed.

  • In this study, the prediction method was reviewed to process a cylindrical plate forming using machine learning as a data-driven approach by roll bending equipment. The calculation of the forming variables was based on the analysis using the mechanical relationship between the material properties and the roll bending machine in the bending process. Then, by applying the finite element analysis method, the accuracy of the deformation prediction model was reviewed, and a large number data set was created to apply to machine learning using the finite element analysis model for deformation prediction. As a result of the application of the machine learning model, it was confirmed that the calculation is slightly higher than the linear regression method. Applicable results were confirmed through the machine learning method.

건축구조용 냉간성형 강관의 가공성능 평가 (Evaluation of Forming Performance of Cold Rolled Steel Pipes & Tubes for Building Structure)

  • SN 강재를 건축구조용으로 사용하기 위해서는 설계기준강도가 제정되어야 한다. 선행 연구로써, SN400B/490B 후판재로 재판한 SN400B/490B 원형강관과 SPAP235/325 및 SPAR295 각형강관의 물성을 평가하였다. SN400B/490B 후판재와 비교했을 때 STKN400B/490B 원형강관의 항복인장 및 인장강도는 상승하였지만, 제조 프로세스에 무관하게 STKN400B/490B 원형강관의 규격을 만족 하였다. 그러나 SPAP235/325 각형강관 모서리부에서의 항복인장 및 인장강도는 규격을 벗어났다. 이것은 SPAP235/325 각형강관 규격에서 정하고 있는 값이 모서리부에서의 값이 아니라 변에서의 값이기 때문이다. STKN490B 원형강관에 발생한 최대 인장잔류응력은 모재 항복강도 수준이며, 최대 압축잔류응력은 모재 항복강도의 40% 수준이었다. 또한 SPAP325 각형강관에 발생한 최대 인장잔류응력과 최대 압축잔류응력은 모두 모재 항복강도의 80% 수준이었다. 중심압축실험을 한 결과 STKN490B 원형강관의 좌굴강도는 제조 프로세스에 관계없이 별 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그러나 각형강관의 경우는 SPAP325 각형강관이 SN490B로 built-up한 각형강관보다 좌굴강도가 높게 나타났다.
