Lightweight Capability-Based Access Control System on File Descriptor via ARM PA (ARM PA를 통한 경량화된 파일 디스크립터 권한 관리 시스템)

  • In intra-process isolation, file descriptors work as another attack vector from the memory corruption attacks. The attacker can read or write by corrupting file descriptors so they can escape the isolation. In this paper, we propose new lightweight capability-based access control system on file descriptor using ARM's hardware extension, PA(Pointer Authentication). Our system was implemented on Linux kernel module, only shows 5% overhead to control the access on the file descriptor.

Improved SIM Algorithm for Contents-based Image Retrieval (내용 기반 이미지 검색을 위한 개선된 SIM 방법)

  • Contents-based image retrieval methods are in general more objective and effective than text-based image retrieval algorithms since they use color and texture in search and avoid annotating all images for search. SIM(Self-organizing Image browsing Map) is one of contents-based image retrieval algorithms that uses only browsable mapping results obtained by SOM(Self Organizing Map). However, SOM may have an error in selecting the right BMU in learning phase if there are similar nodes with distorted color information due to the intensity of light or objects' movements in the image. Such images may be mapped into other grouping nodes thus the search rate could be decreased by this effect. In this paper, we propose an improved SIM that uses HSV color model in extracting image features with color quantization. In order to avoid unexpected learning error mentioned above, our SOM consists of two layers. In learning phase, SOM layer 1 has the color feature vectors as input. After learning SOM Layer 1, the connection weights of this layer become the input of SOM Layer 2 and re-learning occurs. With this multi-layered SOM learning, we can avoid mapping errors among similar nodes of different color information. In search, we put the query image vector into SOM layer 2 and select nodes of SOM layer 1 that connects with chosen BMU of SOM layer 2. In experiment, we verified that the proposed SIM was better than the original SIM and avoid mapping error effectively.

  • This paper proposes a frequency transfer function synthesis for approximating a high-order model with resonance to a low-order model in the frequency domain. The presented model approximation method is based on minimizing the error function weighted by the numerator polynomial of approximated models, which is used of the RLS(Recursive Least Square) technique to estimate the coefficient vector of approximated models. The proposed method provides better fitting in a low frequency and peak resonance. And an example is given to illustrate feasibilities of the suggested schemes.

  • Recently, the spread of smart TV based Android iOS Set Top box has become common. This paper propose a new approach to control the TV using gestures away from the era of controlling the TV using remote control. In this paper, the AdaBoost algorithm is applied to gesture recognition by using a mono camera. First, we use Camshift-based Body tracking and estimation algorithm based on Gaussian background removal for body coordinate extraction. Using global and local feature vectors, we recognized gestures with speed change. By tracking the time interval trajectories of hand and wrist, the AdaBoost algorithm with CART algorithm is used to train and classify gestures. The principal component feature vector with high classification success rate is searched using CART algorithm. As a result, 24 optimal feature vectors were found, which showed lower error rate (3.73%) and higher accuracy rate (95.17%) than the existing algorithm.

  • The use of gestures provides an attractive alternate to cumbersome interface devices for human-computer interaction. This has motivated a very active research area concerned with computer vision-based analysis and interpretation of hand gestures The most important issues in gesture recognition are the simplification of algorithm and the reduction of processing time. The mathematical morphology based on geometrical set theory is best used to perform the processing. The key idea of proposed algorithm is to track a trajectory of center points in primitive elements extracted by morphological shape decomposition. The trajectory of morphological center points includes the information on shape orientation. Based on this characteristic we proposed the morphological gesture sequence recognition algorithm using feature vectors calculated to the trajectory of morphological center points. Through the experiment, we demonstrated the efficiency of proposed algorithm.

  • In the field of industrial drives, the vector control of the induction motor has been widely used to achieve the good control performance. In this paper, to require the information of rotor flux in direct vector control scheme, the flux observer by current model of rotor circuit is used. This flux observer is not only available at low-speed region bt good for the error reduction by feedback properties. Also, employing the flux observer on rotor reference frame, the robustness of decoupling control to the observation of rotor flux can be achieved. Through digital simulation and DSP-based IGBT inverter system, the validity for practical implementation is verified.

  • This paper is on the high perfonnance propulsion IGBT VVVF inverter adopted new technique for railways. To prove the high performance and stabilit~r of traction, running tests are carried out under the simulated condition alike real field. The tests are perfonned on not only a steady states but also a transient states such a as input voltage variation using inertia load equivalent to 160tons train. The vector control technique is a adopted to improve traction for 4 motors. The low switching synchronous PW1\l method based on a space v voltage vector modulation is pro\XlSed as the optimal method for propulsion system railway. The output voltage l is controlled continuously to six step by prolxlsed ovennodu]ation technique without sudden torque variation.

  • This paper proposes control methods and simulation models of a driving system, which consists of converters and inverters, for high speed trains employing multi-level power converters. The control method of a single phase three-level converter for high-speed trains is designed to use DC values instead of instantaneous current values which are usually used in single-phase application, so that it results in a fast and robust voltage control response. In addition, simulation models of Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) for single phase three-level converters as well as three level inverters are proposed. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of the simulation model for three-level inverters.

  • 본 논문에서는 개선된 FCM 알고리즘을 적용하여 통계청에서 제공하는 한국 표준 질병 사인 분류표(K.C.D)를 기초로 질병을 분류한 후, 질병을 도출하고 애매한 증상의 차이의 정도를 퍼지 추론기법을 사용하여 정확한 질병 상세를 도출할 수 있는 한방 질병 분류 시스템을 제시한다. 기존의 FCM 알고리즘은 입력 벡터들과 각 군집 중심과의 거리를 이용하여 측정된 유사도에 기초한 목적 함수의 최적화 방식을 사용한다. 하지만 측정된 패턴과 군집 공간상의 패턴들의 분포에 따라 바람직하지 못한 군집화 결과를 보일 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 군집들의 대칭성 측도에 퍼지 이론을 적용하여 기존의 FCM 알고리즘으로 군집화 한 결과를 재 군집화 하여 군집화의 정확성을 개선시킨 후, 증상의 차이를 구분하기 위해서 애매한 증상의 정도를 퍼지 추론 방법을 적용하여 정확한 질병 상세를 도출할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 개선된 FCM 알고리즘을 적용하여 질병을 분류한 후, 퍼지 제어 기법으로 질병을 추출함으로써 기존의 한방 자가진단 시스템 보다 정확하게 질병을 도출한 것을 확인하였다.

  • 기존의 물리적 인증도구를 이용한 방식이나 패스워드 인증 방식은 분실, 도난, 해킹 등에 취약점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 지문, 서명, 홍채, 음성, 얼굴 등을 이용한 생체 인식기술을 보안 기술로 적용하려는 연구가 진행중이며 일부는 실용화도 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근 널리 보급되어 있는 임베디드 시스템중의 하나인 PDA에 음성 기술을 이용한 내장형 화자 인증기를 구현하였다. 화자 인증기는 음성기술에서 널리 사용되고 있는 벡터 양자화 기술과 은닉 마코프 모델 기술을 사용하였으며, PDA의 하드웨어적인 제약 사항을 고려하여 사용되는 벡터 코드북을 두 가지로 다르게 하여 각각 구현하였다. 처음은 코드북을 화자 등록시에 발성음만을 이용하여 생성하고 화자인증 시에 이용하는 방법이며, 다른 하나는 대용량의 음성 데이터베이스를 이용하여 코드북을 사전에 생성하여 이를 화자 인증시에 이용하는 방법이다. 화자인증기의 성능평가는 5명의 화자가 10번씩 5개의 단어에 대하여 실험하여, 각각 화자종속 코득북을 이용한 인증기는 88.8%, 99.5%, 화자독립 코드북을 이용한 인증기는 85.6%, 95.5%의 인증율과 거절율을 보였으며, 93.5%와 90.0%의 평균 확률을 보였다.. 실험을 통하여 화자독립 인증기의 경우가 화자종속 인증기의 경우보다 낮은 인식율을 보였지만, 화자종속 인증기에서 나타나는 코드북 훈련시에 발생하는 메모리 문제를 해결 할 수 있었다.
