Database teaching and learning effects applying the situated learning theory (상황학습 이론을 적용한 데이터베이스 교수 학습 효과)

  • To determine efficient methods of database teaching, this paper applied the situated learning theory to the teaching and learning method and analyzed the effects. Previous related studies were also examined, with the essential contents in database analyzed based on Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives. Moreover, this paper presented a strategy wherein the contents of database learning are classified into two categories: basic knowledge and technical and extended knowledge. Experimental and control groups were selected based on related studies, and the effects of database teaching and learning method, determined by technique and attitude area as well as knowledge area. After preparing and applying to the teaching and learning method the actual educational curriculum, the following results were drawn: (1) the experimental group showed better performance in terms of understanding the concept of database, operating database, and constructing a database table when the situated learning theory was applied to the teaching method, and; (2) the experimental group was also more receptive compared to the control group, which opted to take technique-oriented database courses. Therefore, various teaching and learning methods aside from the situated learning theory should be applied and analyzed in database and computer science fields for maximum effects.

  • In this study, we analyzed the current status and limitations of software education in A education universities. In order to solve these problems, technical support assistant teachers were employed and operated. During the course of the course, we conducted interviews with the instructor and the technical support teacher. The satisfaction of the teacher in the training school was high and I wanted to be supported continuously. It also called for the capacity building of assistant teachers and the establishment of a pool of staff. On the other hand, the assistant teachers suggested that the role assignment of team teaching should be clarified and a guide of activities should be presented. The technical assistance assistant teacher input system discussed in this study may be different from the practice system of each university, and generalization may be limited. Therefore, it is expected that the effective implementation method will be shared and the software education will be activated.

  • Since the science of information is appearing no less important than mathematics and natural science as our society is rapidly becoming information-oriented, the necessity to distinguish prodigies of this field and to educate them as early as possible is also being emphasized. Unfortunately, however, the pertinent study is still in its beginning stage. In this study, I have reviewed the character, definition and method to distinguish prodigies and the procedure of developing a test, as well as researching and analyzing the proper process of distinguishing prodigies, through theoretical contemplation on the method of distinguishing the gifted children. Also, I have characterized and defined the information prodigies after clarifying the character of 'Discrete Mathematics' which becomes the basis of the science of information, paving the way to make a test method that can distinguish those information prodigies. As a result of our applying the system by using the distinction test, it turned out that the distinction test was pretty reliable. Accordingly, it can be utilized as a significant distinction test for information prodigies in the forthcoming future.

  • Cyber learning goes up in the quantity of educational contents as informational technology develops in Korea. However some research for the structure of the contents has not been tried to examine its quality. Therefore this research analyzed the most popular cyber learning contents in Korea. They were characterized as "presentational contents". The main research methods are survey and execution of the presentational contents. For the survey, 100 trainee teachers were interviewed. The result of survey is that presentational contents are close to both the tutorial contents type and drill and practice type. On the other hand it is revealed that the response for simulation and game contents type is very rare. The result of the execution for presentation contents recorded high level for frequency of presentation and motivation. To solve these problems, the approach for developing presentational contents should select an appropriate curriculum for cyber learning system and incorporate effective teaching presentation with technology.

  • This study intends to analyse the programming class with visual-basic, scratch and pico-cricket in elementary school. The study analyses cognitive domain by creativity tests and instructional process by student task engagement and the required factor of student's activity-nowadays, a lot of encouragement of learning use-. According to the result, The creativity of groups who use three teaching aid improves, but it hasn't any meaning. according to the student task engagement analysis by instructional process, According to the student task engagement analysis by instructional process, The concentration of group that uses pico-cricket and scratch falls down a little, but The concentration of group that uses visual-basic falls down remarkably. At last, according to the result of the required factor of student's activity, scratch and pico-cricket spend time discussing and programming, but visual-basic spends time correcting coding error. But pico-cricket spends much time preparing teaching aid or checking instrument, so this fact has to reflect when teacher plans his class. Through this fact, scratch and pico-cricket are better than visual basic as effective teaching aid when teacher teaches programming.

A Study on the Proposal of an Integration Model for Library Collaboration Instruction (도서관협력수업의 통합모형 제안에 관한 연구)

  • Library collaboration instruction (LCI) is a process in which a classroom teacher and librarian collaborate to co-planning, co-implementation, co-assessment instruction. LCI is being studied and modeled in various dimensions such as the level of collaboration, information activities, and time scheduling. However, there is no integrated model that comprehensively covers teacher and librarian collaboration. The purpose of this study is to propose a schematic integration model for LCI by comparing and analyzing various models in five dimensions (level of collaboration, information activities, collaborative approach, time scheduling, and technological integration). The main results of the integration model for LCI reflected in this study are as follows. First, in terms of the level of collaboration, TLC integration model reflected such as library-based teacher-led instruction, cross-curricular integrated curriculum. Second, in terms of information activities, LCI integration model reflected social and science subjects inquiry activities in addition to the information use process. Third, in terms of collaborative approach, LCI integration model is divided into such as lead-observation instruction and parallel station instruction. Fourth, in terms of time management, LCI integration model took into account the Korean national curriculum and scheduling methods. Fifth, in terms of technology integration, LCI integration model reflected the PICRAT model, modified from the perspective of library collaboration instruction.

  • 이번 호부터 해설란을 통하여 비파괴검사(非破壞檢査) 기술(技術)에 대한 연재를 시작한다. 앞으로 비파괴검사(非破壞檢査) 기술(技術) 각 분야에 대해 다룰 예정이며 우선 1차적으로 와전류탐상법(渦電流探傷法)에 관해 3회에 걸쳐 게재하기로 한다. 특정한 비파괴검사(非破壞檢査)의 전문가가 아니더라도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 가급적 수식은 배제하고 기초적인 이론을 소개할 것이며 특히 현장 적용에 중점을 두어 기술(記述)하고자 한다. 본 원고에서는 원거리 와전류탐상법(渦電流探傷法)(remote field eddy current testing) 이나 펄스 와전류탐상법(渦電流探傷法)(pulsed eddy current testing)과 같은 특수 와전류(渦電流) 기술(技術)은 제외하였으며 본 연구실에서 내부 교육용으로 사용하는 "와전류탐상법(渦電流探傷法) Level I 과정"과 미국금속학회에서 발행한 Metal Handbook, 9th ed., Vol. 17, "Non-destructive Evaluation and Quality Control" 및 기타 관련 기술 자료들을 참고하였으나 일일이 명기하지는 않는다.

  • 21세기 정보화 시대에 정보소양함양은 범국가적인 정보화사업추진의 이슈로 떠오르고 있으며 이에 학교는 그 선봉의 역할에 서 있다. 본 논문에서는 학교 교육정보화의 중심인 초등학교 담임교사의 정보소양함양 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 논문의 구성은 다음과 같다. 먼저, 교원 정보소양 개념에 대한 분석에서 시작하여 국내의 정보소양 인증 실태를 조사하였으며, 담임교사로서 학급운영과 학교행정업무에 필요한 구성요소를 분야별로 추출하였다. 이렇게 추출한 구성요소로 작성한 평가 문항을 통해 교사는 자신의 정보소양을 자가 진단할 수 있고 부족한 부분의 영역에 대하여 처방 받을 수 있도록 하였다. 본 초등학교 담임교사 정보소양함양 시스템의 특징은 첫째, 각종 연수 및 정보통신기술 학습에 대한 기초자료를 제공한다. 둘째, 통합형 평가를 개발하고 평가 항목을 다변화한다. 셋째, 수준별/업무별 평가 과정을 개발ㆍ제공한다. 넷째, 자기 주도적 학습력을 항상시킬 수 있다.

전국민의 과학화 운동-77년도 사업추진 계획발표

  • 과학기술처(최형섭장관)는 1977년도 전국민의 과학화 추진계획을 3월25일 발표하였다. 1973년 박정히 대통령의 유시에 따라 추진되어온 이 운동은 그 목표를 첫째 과학기술에 대한 국민들의 인식앙양에 두고 있으며 둘째 전국민의 사고와 생활습성을 과학화 하고 셋째 과학기술개발에 전국민의 역량을 집결 참여시키는데 두고 있다 또한 이 운동은 정부, 과학기술계, 산업계, 매스콤 등 범국민적 참여하에 새마을운동과 상호 유기적인 협조로 추진되고 있으며 년차별 시행계획과 실천 등은 과학기술처가 총괄하게 되어있으며 구체적사업은 제시된 방향(과기처 발표) 따라 기관이나 부처별로 추진된다. 한편 과기처는 각부처에 5개항의 협조요망사항을 전달한바 있다 그 내용을 보면 소속훈련기관에 과학화 과정의 설치와 교육자료의 상호교환, 각종행사에 있어 연구기관 및 산업관찰 권장, 잡지 등에 과학화 정신 반영과 모든 제품의 용도 효능 생활소비품등을 상술한 과학적 판단자료 제공을 장려하도록 되어있다

  • It has been found that the learning method based on conventional CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction) to be inadequate and inefficient as it is designed without considering the individual learning characteristics of the learners. In order to rectify and remedy the problem, the development of an ITS(Intelligent Tutoring System) that is adequately equipped with an artificial intelligence that successfully interprets the individual learning ability characteristics through accumulated individual data is in order. This study attempts to verify the individual acquisition ability and the possible error committed by learners in the process of learning in order to present the elements to be considered for designing a successful student module that enables the effective learning through the 'learner ability grouping' for learning Electronic Calculator Architecture.
