  • In this paper, we present the system that user can search and manage data using united interface and user can define search field dynamically. The feature of this system is that it is possible to manage multiple polymorphic meta information first. Second, there is a database integration bus that can support easy integration between the various systems. Third, it is possible to set the search item for each user which can customize polymorphism data for each user. The system studied in this paper is expected to be capable of managing big data, which is currently well received in the field of ICT. In addition, it will be possible to effectively manage multi-species polymorphic data in various fields in the future and to easily integrate between systems having various environments.

Finding Alternative Routes in Inter Modal Transit Networks Considering Constraints (제약조건을 고려한 통합대중교통망의 대안경로탐색)

  • For integrated transit networks operated with diverse transit modes, it is difficult to find related literatures on the provision of multiple travel time routes information. This study proposes a methodology on how to select K number of least time transit routes in the integrated transit network with two modes, bus and subway. In the Proposed method, three constraints usually (will be) encountered for decision by users-(1) service time constraints of travel modes, (2) maximum payment fare constraints under the integrated distance based fare system, and (3) maximum number of transfer constraints - are taken into consideration in the searched routes. The experimental studies shows that the proposed method properly provides K number of least time routes. In addition, it somehow proves that by combinatorially considering three constraints the proposed method can be evaluated as to enlarge the quality as well as the diversity of route information demanded by users.

  • In B-ISDN(Broadband Integrated Services Digital Networks), the efficient implementation of multicast function is very important since the demand for distributed type of service such as VOD(Video On Demand) system is expected to grow. In this paper, the multicast performance characteristics of fully-interconnected switch fabric used for our research is the proper architecture for a small-sized switch element, and it uses bit addressing method for addressing scheme and thus it is easy to implement multicast function without adding a function block. To incorporate the bursty nature of traffic in ATM networks, we used IBP(Interrupted Bernoulli Process) model as an input traffic model. We presented and analyzed the simulation results in terms of the multicast operation of the switch. Based. on this study, it its analyzed that congestion avoidance may be feasible if we use a proper traffic control scheme by finding an overload point due to multicast.

  • Content used in mashups is typically obtained from a third party source through a public interface or API (web services). Other methods of obtaining content for mashups include Web feeds (e.g. RSS or Atom), and screen scraping. A mashup or meshup Web application has two parts: A new service delivered through a Web page, using its own data and data from other sources. The blended data, made available across the Web through an API or other protocols such as HlTP, RSS, REST, etc. There are many types of mashups, such as consumer mashups, data mashups, and Business Mashups. The most common mashup is the consumer mashup, which are aimed at the general public. Examples include Google Maps, iGuide, and RadioClouds. 4D Wall-map display is data mashups combine similar types of media and information from multiple sources into a single representation. This technology focus data into a single presentation and allow for collaborative action among ITS-related information sources.

  • Smart client is a term describing an application environment which delivers applications over a web HTTP connection and does not require installation and/or updates. The term "Smart Client" is meant to refer to simultaneously capturing the benefits of a "thin client" (zero-install, auto-update) and a "fat client" (high performance, high productivity). A "Smart Client" application can be created in several very different technologies. Over the past few years, ITS has started to move towards smart clients, also called rich clients. The trend is a move from traditional client/server architecture to a Web-based model. More similar to a fat client vs. a thin client, smart clients are Internet-connected devices that allows a user's local applications to interact with server-based applications through the use of Web services. Smart Client applications in BIT bridge the gap between web applications and desktop applications. They provide the benefits of a web applicationwhile still providing the snappy look and feel inherent to desktop applications.

  • As mobile devices increase use, users are forced to recognize and navigate their own location and virtual space within a given small display. Unlike trains and buses, this study aims to select a space inside a subway train that is difficult to transfer location information to and suggest an interface to reduce cognitive differences to users. First, observe the actual environment and then derive the empirical factors. Second, by using Metapo which is an act of understanding or experiencing specific targets that are not familiar with familiar objects, the interface is designed according to the UX principle after converting the experience element into metapo. Finally, usability will be assessed through user experience evaluation and problem elicited and supplemented in future studies. This study expects the use of spatial interfaces to be increased and applied as a variety of services by using metaphors through experience elements to help users easily recognize their location within the mobile interface.

  • As industrial technology advances, convenience is also being developed. Many people living in big cities are commuting using transportation such as buses, taxis, cars, etc. and enjoy leisure, so research is needed to reduce the damages caused by traffic accidents. This study deals with estimating road-level rainfall in real-time. A rainfall observation data and radar data provided by the Korea meteorological administration were collected in real-time to create an integrated database, which was estimated as road-level rainfall by universal kriging method. Besides, we conducted a study to interactively visualization of mash-up road traffic information in real-time with integrating rainfall information.

  • We analyze the tourist satisfaction of the Daegu City Tour which plays a big role in the local tourism boosting through '2011 Visit Daegu Year'. To analyze a causal relation among factors, we proposed a structural equation model consisting of four latent variables of the tour: motivation, expectation, satisfaction, and future behaviors. Using data from the actual tourists of the Daegu City Tour, we found out that tourists' motivation before the tour does not affect tourists' satisfaction after the tour. However those who have higher motivation have positive future behavior and those who have the higher expectation are more satisfied with the tour. Meanwhile, the expectation before the tour does not lead the future behavior but the satisfaction after the tour influences the positive future behavior.

  • Existing web server lowers the whole capacity of system because of the problem on the processing load of server by closing connection increasing code handshake operation, and remarkable decrease of server capacity if it is the state of overload. Also, there occurs disadvantages of increasing connection tine about client's request and response time because handling of client's multi-requests is not smooth because of thread block and it requests a lot of time and resources for revitalization of thread. Therefore, this paper proposes the extended web server which provides the technique for delay handling and improves the overload of server for better system capacity, communication support, and the unification which is the advantage of web service. And it evaluates the existing system(implemented at Tomcat 5.5) and the proposed mobile web server architecture. The extended server architecture provides excellent exchange condition for system capacity and evaluates improved web server architecture which combines multi-thread with thread pool. The proposed web service architecture in this paper got the better result of improved capacity benefit than the evaluation result of original Tomcat 5.5.

A Study on the Selection of Starting Year for the Management of Aging Commercial Trucks by Using Automobile Inspection Data (자동차 검사 자료를 이용한 사업용 화물자동차 차령 관리 시작 년도 선정에 관한 연구)

  • In order to minimize problems related to the performance and safety of automobiles, the "Age Limit for Vehicles System" which restricts the age of buses, taxis, and trucks, was implemented in 1973. This contributed to the reduction of accidents and increase of user's service satisfaction. However, the restriction system for trucks was abolished in August 1997 as it was deemed restrictive to economic growth. It is found that one of main causes of traffic accidents such as Changwon Tunnel accident occurred in recent years, is the aging of trucks. Thus, There is a growing need for the management of the age of trucks. In this study, the time when cargo vehicles need to be managed is suggested, by analyzing the safety of cargo vehicles using vehicles inspection data.
