Behavior Analysis of High Pressure Valve Tester (고압용 밸브시험기의 거동해석)

  • High pressure valve tester used in industrial fields precise measurement gives inconvenience in precise measurement due to manually regulated pressures. In order to improve this inconvenience, the high pressure valve tester was designed by using CATIA and structural analysis of the designed high pressure valve tester was conducted and water leaking, total deformation, strain and stress were obtained by applying ANSYS. These results will be provided to develop new concepts of high pressure valve tester as initial data.

  • It is very important that establishing the valve train equations and representing the behavior of the valve train parts. To maintain the specific efficiency of running engine, the cam profile of valve train has more specific influence on the adequate behavior of the valve train than a valve clearance, heat-resistance and durability of parts. The polynomial cam, the multipol cam and polydyne cam profie are widely used to represent cam behaviour. In this study, using polydyne cam design profile equations which is more adequate for representing high speed engine, the geometrical modeling and mathmatical variable analysis are established to analysis the valve behaviour.

Study of Valve Train Motion According to Valve Clearance (밸브 간극에 따른 밸브트레인 거동 연구)

  • Mechanical tappet is used to reduce the cost and friction loss compared with hydraulic tappet. But the mechanical tappet doesn't have the ability to control the clearance between cams and valves and is selected by measuring the distance between valves and cams in order to minimize the clearance of valves by considering thermal expansion of valves. So, the valve clearance is nearly zero after fully warming-up periods, but there is valve clearance before warming-up. Especially at cold condition, the clearance is relatively large and can bring about some problems. In this study, the valve motions like lift, velocity, seating velocity and bouncing height were studied at various valve clearance conditions by experiment and analysis. As the valve clearance increases, the ramp area becomes shorten and it causes the valve train motion to have bad effects.

Dynamic Behavior Analysis of Mechanical Monoleaflet Heart Valve Prostheses (기계식 一葉심장밸브의 동적거동 해석)

  • In this paper, fluttering behavior of mechanical monloleaflet heart valve prosthesis was analyzed taking into consideration of the impact between the valve occluder and the stopper. The motion of valve occluder was modeled as a rotating system, and equations were derived by employing the moment equilibrium conditions. Lift force, drag force, gravity and buoyancy were considered as external forces acting on the valve occluder. The 4th order Runge-Kutta method was used to solve the equations. The results demonstrated that the occluder reaches steady eguilibrium position only after damped vibration. The mean damping ratio is in the range of 0.197-0.301. Fluttering frequency does not have any specific value, but varies as a function of time. It is in the range of 11-84Hz. Valve opening appears to be affected by the orientation of the valve relative to gravitational forces.

Performance Characteristics of an Electronically Controlled EGR Valve for Diesel Engines (디젤엔진용 전자식 EGR 밸브의 성능 특성)

  • Lately, the modulated EGR system that includes EGR valve and EGR cooler is being installed in diesel engines fur the purpose of the simultaneous reduction of NOx and PM. In this study. we designed and constructed a test bench for the performance evaluation of the modulated EGR system, and tested an electronically controlled EGR valve for 2.0 L diesel engines. The performance of the EGR valve was evaluated in terms of the valve lift behavior. the valve opening/closing response, and the mass flow rate through the valve. The valve lift with respect to the duty ratio of PWM signal was non-linear, and followed a different path fur valve opening and closing, that is, hysteresis. The valve opening response was concluded satisfactory falling within the usual standard response time. For the duty ratio of 40 to 60%, the mass flow rate through the valve was observed to depend on the pressure difference across the valve as well as the duty ratio, while it solely depended on the pressure difference fur the duty ratio above 60%.

Recycling of Safety Check Valves Contaminated with Radioactivity by Chemical Decontamination (化學除染에 의한 逆止밸브의 再使用)

  • Chemical decontamination techniques have been employed to reuse the high cost check valves contaminated with radioactivity and to reduce the radiation exposure during the inspection and maintenance work of safety injection system containing check valves. After chemical decontamination, an ultrasonic treatment was conducted to remove the fine solid particles retained in the crevices of check valves. The decontamination process conditions and the amount of chemical reagents were determined from the results of a pre-test, using the (list arm holder. The decontamination factors (DF), estimated from the activity in the solution, ranged from 14.5 to 18.5 corresponding to the activity removal of 93-95ft. The corrosion test data indicated that the general corrosion rate during a chemical decontamination-ultrasonic treatment process are low for type 304 S tainless steel, Inconel -600 and Stellite-6 materials $ (2.1\times10^{-2}$ $6.0\times10^{-2}$ and$ 1.7\times10^{-2}$ mil, respectively).

  • 왕복동식 압축기에서 고효율 토출밸브를 개발하였다. 멈치개(stopper)가 있는 외팔보 형태의 토출 밸브는 밸브 및 멈치개의 형상과, 밸브와 멈치개 및 밸브시트에 존재하는 오일에 의한 점성력(sticky force) 등에 의한 밸브의 개폐과정과 동적 거동특성의 변화를 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 오일막에 의한 점성력을 측정하고, 그에 의하여 유발되는 지연시간(time-lag)을 측정할 수 있는 실험장치를 개발하였다. 또한, 토출밸브의 개폐과정을 최적화하여, 과압축 손실을 최소화한 토출밸브계를 개발하였다. 개발된 밸브계에 대하여 실험적인 방법으로 그 효과를 검증하였다.

Analysis of Giant Magnetoresistance Behavior of NiFeCo/Cu/NiFeCo/FeMn Valves (NiFeCo/Cu/NiFeCo/FeMn 스핀밸브 구조의 자기저항 거동 해석)

  • 스퍼터링법으로 제조한 NiFeCo/Cu/NiFeCo/FeMn 스핀밸브 자성 다층막의 자기적 성질과 자기저항에 대해 연구하였다. Cu 사잇층 두께가 15 .angs. 인 경우 약 6%의 자기저항을 얻을 수 있었다. NiFeCo/FeMn에서 교환이방성 자계는 약 20 Oe 정도였는데, 이는 NiFe/FeMn 계 스핀밸브 구조에서 보고된 값(100 Oe 이상) 보다 현저히 작은 것이다. 3 mTorr에서 제조한 NiFeCo 박막은 약 10 Oe 정도의 큰 보자력을 보임으로써 비슷한 조건에서 제조한 NiFe 박막의 경우(약 2 Oe)보다 상당히 큰 값을 갖는 것으로 관찰되었다. 작은 교환이방성 자계와 큰 보자력으로 인해 음 .rarw. 양 방향과 양 .rarw. 음 방향의 자화거동에 있어서 비대칭적인 자기저항 이력곡선 거동을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

Valve Motions and Gas Pulsations of a Reciprocating Compressor (왕복동식 압축기의 밸브거동과 압력맥동에 대한 연구)

  • The valve motions of a reciprocating compressor generate the pressure fluctuation at the plenum which is a main source of noise and vibration of a compressor unit. But a cycle of a compressor process consists of complicated phenomena interacting in a short period of time. A mathematical model is developed by simplifying and idealizing the complicated phenomena to simulate the compressor process. The governing equations about the pressure and working fluid flow are developed from the unsteady Bernoulli equation. The pressure fluctuations at the plenums are derived from the Helmholz's resonator model. The valves are modeled as one degree of freedom spring-mass-damper system. This model is verified by the experimental results.

A Study on Unsteady Flow and Movement around a Check Valve in a Scroll Compressor (스크롤 압축기 밸브주변의 비정상유동과 밸브거동에 관한 연구)

  • In a scroll compressor it is generally accepted that a check valve is necessary to prevent reverse rotation of the scrolls. The check valve is subjected to discharge pulsations and their resultant forces. The flow phenomena around the check valve may affect the efficiency and the noise level significantly. The motivation of this study is to understand the flow phenomena and the unstable motion of the check valve on operating conditions in order to identify reasons raising noise and improve the performance of the check valve. In this study, unsteady flow simulation was performed using CFD and the pressure distribution around the check valve was obtained. This paper also shows that unstable motion of the check valve on standard operating conditions through theoretical analysis and flow visualization.
