Timing Driven Placement using Force Directed Method and Optimal Interleaving Technique (포스 디렉티드 방법과 최적 인터리빙 기법을 이용한 타이밍 드리븐 배치)

  • The proposed method for a force directed global placement algorithm exploits and extends techniques from two leading placers, Kraftwerk (& KraftwerkNC) and Mongrel. It combines the strengths of KraftwerkNC, force directed global placer, and Mongrel's ripple move technique which resolves cell overlaps effectively The proposed technique uses the force spreading technique used in Kraftwerk to optimize the ripple movement. While it is resolving the cell overlap and optimizing wire length physical net constraints are considered for timing. The experimental results obtained by the proposed approach shows significant improvement on wire length as well as on timing.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the job satisfaction of school library employees with independent variables. and to discern the variables that cause the greatest impact on job satisfaction. The study's 254 questionaries were collected from December 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006 from 327 school library employees. In this study, it is proved that there are differences between the job satisfaction of school library employees and independent variables: gender, the level of school library, length of service. and employment style. Tips for the inherent roles of school library media center were Provided based on inadequacies and other findings revealed through this study.

  • This paper presents an AP placement technique considering indoor location-awareness and examines its performance. The proposed AP placement technique is addressed from three performance metrics: location-awareness and AP-based wireless network performance as well as its cost. The proposed AP placement technique consists of meta-heuristic algorithms that yield a near optimal AP configuration for given performance metrics, and deterministic algorithms that improve the fast convergence of the near optimal AP configuration. The performance of the AP placement technique presented in this paper is measured under the environments simulating indoor space, and numerical results obtained by experimental evaluation yield the fast convergence of a near-optimal solution to a given performance metric.

An Algorithm for Computing Valid Side Chain Conformations for Finding Transformed Channels in a Protein Molecule (단백질 분자에서 변형된 채널 발견을 위한 유효 사이드 체인 배치 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents an algorithm for finding valid side chain conformations of amino acids, when given channel is transformed. The suggested algorithm implements a protein molecule with flexible side chains based on the flexibility of amino acids, and extracts adjacent amino acids that affect the formation of the channel. We detect the collision between adjacent amino acids and neighbors, in order to exclude invalid side chain conformations. Then, we construct the rotation angle combination tree to choose valid side chain conformations.

  • In recent wireless communication systems such as Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) system, to transmit large multimedia data, high order modulations including 64-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) are adopted. However, performance of the modulation depends on the signal constellation in the same modulation order. Therefore, a symbol error rate (SER) expression of optimal performance is necessary for analyzing the SER performance of various signal constellation. The optimal signal constellation based on error bound has been previously described, but an exact SER expression has not been derived. In this paper, we propose an exact SER expression of optimal signal constellation for 64-ary QAM.

  • The cost competitive products buyers through the e-commerce are growing steadily every year due to the development of the Internet. Furniture and home appliances buyers through the e-commerce, on the other hand, aren't growing cause it's impossible to check the size and harmony with interior. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce arrangement system for furniture and home appliances based on augmented reality and motion recognition to provide service which checks the size and harmony with interior by arranging them virtually before purchasing.

Effect of Experimental Layout on Model Selection under Variance Components Models: A Simulation Study (분산성분모형에서 요인의 배치구조가 모형선택법에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험연구)

  • Variance components models incorporate various random factors in the form of linear models. There are two experimental Layouts for the classification of factors under variance components models: nested classification and crossed classification. We consider two-way variance components models and investigate the effect of experimental Layout on the performance of model selection criteria AIC and BIC. The effect of experimental Layout is studied through a simulation study with various combinations of parameters in a systematic fashion. The simulation study shows differences in performance of model selection methods between the two classification. There is a particular tendency to prefer the smaller model than the true model when the variance component of a nested factor becomes relatively larger than a nesting factor that is persistent even when the sample size is not small.

  • 현 교육시설 환경에서 제7차 교육과정에 의한 수준별, 선택형 수업을 잘 수용하기 위해 시간표 작성 시스템은 매우 유용한 도구이다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 시간표 작성 시스템과 연계하여 수행되는 교실배치 편집기를 설계하고, 그 주요 부분의 구현 방책에 대해 다루었다. 이 편집기는 중고등학교 건물내의 각 교실에 대한 제반 정보를 전산화시키기 위해 사용된다.

  • 최근, 스마트폰이 널리 보급됨에 따라, 모바일 어플리케이션의 UI에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그중 다수의 메뉴를 가진 어플리케이션의 경우는 메뉴의 배치를 통하여 사용자의 편의성과 심미성을 동시에 만족시켜야 한다. 본 논문은 어플리케이션 내의 여러 메뉴를 설계할 경우 몇 개의 메뉴를 어떻게 배치할 것인가에 대해 정보이론의 엔트로피에 기반을 둔 기법을 제안하고, 이를 국내 대표 포털 사이트인 네이버 어플리케이션에 적용하여 분석한 결과를 보인다.
