The Reduction Rate of $CO_2$ with Fuel-cut Region Painting on the Road (퓨얼컷 구간 도로표시에 따른 $CO_2$ 배출 저감율)

  • 자동차 주행 시 엔진회전수가 1,500rpm 이상이고 주행속도가 50km/hr 이상의 조건에서 가속 페달을 밟지 않은 상태로 관성주행(타행주행)을 하면 연료분사량이 "0"이 되고 그에 따라 엔진 배출 $CO_2$ 배출량도 "0"이 된다. 본 연구에서는 고속도로 및 자동차 전용도로에서의 이러한 연료차단(퓨얼컷 fuel-cut) 주행 구간을 찾고 연료차단 기능을 활용하는 경우 그 효과를 평가하였다. 본 시험의 결과 퓨얼컷 주행을 활용하면 약 4~5% 정도의 $CO_2$ 배출량을 줄일 수 있음을 알 수 있었고, 감속의 정도를 도로 상황에 맞게 최적화하는 경우 감소율을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 추후 본 시험의 결과를 이용하여 도로 내리막 구간에서 연료소모량 및 $CO_2$ 배출량을 저감하면서도 과속으로 인한 사고를 예방하는 방안으로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 이동오염원 중 자동차 대기오염 현황을 정확히 파악하고 이에 대한 대책을 강구하기 위해서는 차종별 대기오염물질의 배출량을 정확하게 파악할 필요가 있다. 현재 자동차에 의한 배출계수, 활동도, 산정방법 등은 다양하게 진행되고 있으나, 이륜차에 의한 배출량은 연구가 미미한 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도로이동오염원에 의한 배출량과 그중 이륜차에 의한 대기오염물질 배출량과 기여율을 추정하고자 한다. (중략)

Effects of the Combustion and Emission Characteristics in a CRDI Engine Biodiesel Blended Fuel with and EGR rate (커먼레일 디젤기관에서 바이오디젤 혼합 연료와 EGR율이 연소 및 배기특성에 미치는 영향)

  • An experimental study was performed to compare the characteristics of the combustion pressure and exhaust emissions in the case of using pure diesel when the EGR rate was changed in a CRDI 4-cylinder diesel engine with those using biodiesel blended and pure diesel fuel. In this study, the EGR rate variation were conducted at an engine speed of 2000rpm with fuel with a biodiesel blended rate of 20%. The combustion pressure of the biodiesel blended rate 20% and pure diesel fuels decreased with increasing EGR rate. The IMEP of biodiesel was higher than that of ULSD (Ultra low sulfur diesel). The emission results showed that the NOx emission of biodiesel blended fuel with increasing EGR rate was higher than that of ULSD. In addition, the NOx emission of biodiesel blended and diesel fuel decreased with increasing EGR rate. The CO and soot, $CO_2$ emissions increased with increasing EGR rate, and the CO and soot emissions from the biodiesel blended fuel were lower than that of ULSD but the $CO_2$ emissions were higher.

  • There are lots of variations on speed, acceleration and engine power during vehicle driving. It is well known that Green House Gas emissions by these dynamic driving properties are not precisely estimated by the average speed based emission estimation model which has been currently used in Korea. MOVES are selected as an appropriate transferable model among Micro-level emission estimation models. Based on MOVES, a novel emission estimation model can be used in Korea is developed. In this model, MOVES concept of emission estimation method and the MOVES method of estimating the Micro-level emission rate map is adopted. The results from the proposed model were compared with those from the average speed based emission model. The comparison results show the estimated base emission maps are good to be applied in Korea, but needed to be adjusted to consider the vehicle size differences between the two countries. Therefore, the factors for calibrating vehicle size difference were calculated and applied to acquired the micro-level emission maps for the Korean standard vehicle types.

  • In this paper, the reduction of green house effect gas CO₂ emission and NOx gas emission by using the RORO ship coastal transport of import-export container cargo was investigated. At first, the domestic CO₂ gas emission and the transportation of import-export container cargo were Investigated. Next, the characteristic of a RORO ship and CO₂ emission standard and NOx emission standard were investigated. And also, the reduction of CO₂ emission and NOx emission by the shift of coastal transport from land transport for the transportation of import-export container cargo between Kyongin area and Pusan Port were calculated. Finally, the change of CO2 and NOx gas emission due to the change of the share of coastal transportation and the load efficiency of RORO ship are investigated. The research results show that the shift of RORO ship coastal transport from land transport was very effective to reduce the CO₂ emission but it was no good to reduce the NOx emission.

  • 카르스트는 자연수의 용식작용에 의하여 형성되는 지형이다. 용식은 카르스트 지형에 있어 가장 우세한 과정이 아니며, 또한 지배적인 과정도 아니지만, 그것은 다른 유형의 지형에서 형성되는 결과보다 용해질 암석에서 더 다양한 역할을 하기 때문이다. 용식의 가장 중요한 역할은 바위의 침투성을 증가시키면서 지하의 공간을 확대시키는 데 있다. 이는 지하수에 의해 지표면의 점진적인 용식적인 변화인 카렌, 석문, 용천, cockpit 및 mogote, sinkholes, hum 등의 카르스트 지형을 창출한다. 수문학의 대표적인 이론인 Darcy's Law가 용식지형에서는 전혀 적용되지 않는다는 검증 결과만 하더라도 카르스트가 얼마나 다양하고 복잡한 수문학적인 형성과정을 가지고 있는가를 알 수 있을 것이다. 특히 Darcy의 법칙은 비등방성과 비균질적인 투수층에는 적용되지 않는다. 왜냐하면 카르스트 지역에서는 1차삼투율(primary transmissivity)의 공극율에 따른 투과율이 적용되는 일반적인 암석에서의 결과보다 2차삼투율(secondly transmissivity인 단층선, 균열, 절리면 등에 의한 투과율이 훤씬 증대되기 때문이다. 따라서 카르스트수문학은 자연수의 용식작용에 의하여 형성되는 지형이지만 투수성, 지하수의 유속, 동공속의 소지류의 구배, 입수율과 배출율 등이 일반적인 수문학과 다른 결과를 나타내고 있다.

Estimation of GHGs Emission to Improvement of Facility Efficiency in the Food wastewater Treatment Process (식품폐수처리시설의 설비효율 개선에 따른 온실가스 배출량 평가)

  • In the food wastewater treatment facilities, the water quality improvement effect and the greenhouse gas emission amount followed by the change in electricity usage through a change of the aeration tank ventilation system were evaluated. also, the amount of greenhouse gas emission followed by the change in electricity usage through the change of the sludge dewatering, storage, transporting method was also evaluated. The total GHG emission from food wastewater treatment facility improvement were divided into direct emissions from the treatment processes and indirect ones from electricity usage. The water quality improvement effect of wastewater treatment plant was found to be 63.3% for BOD removal rate, 42.0% for COD removal rate, 71.0% for SS removal rate and 39.6% for T-N removal rate. and according to the results of calculating output by applying both direct emissions of greenhouse gas (Scope 1) and the indirect emission (Scope 2) of greenhouse gas followed by changes in power consumption. It was estimated that there was a total of 276.0tCO2eq./yr(7.5%) greenhouse gas reduction effect from 3,668.8tCO2eq./yr before improvement to 3,392.8tCO2eq./yr after improvement. In this result is not due to the effects of water quality improvement of emission source, but because the reduction in electricity use has reduced the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.

It's effects for engine emission of water/oil emulsified fuel (Water/Oil 에멀젼 연료가 배출가스에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, the characteristics of emulsified fuel and engine emissions were studied. Emulsified fuel which composed of water and diesel was manufactured by using homogenizer and ultrasonic generator. Engine emissions were studied whit engine dinamometer. In emulsified fuel, density and viscosity were increased with increasing water contents, but viscosity was decreased over 60% of water in emulsion fuel. The emulsion type of W/O changed to that of O/W over 60% of water in emulsion fuel. In the results of engine dinamometer test, NOx concentration and smoke density were reduced with increasing water contents in emulsified fuel but reciprocal in the case of THC, CO. Temperature and power were reduced with increasing water contents in emulsion fuel. In conclusion, it seemed that using emulsified fuel for diesel engine was effective for reducing NOx concentration and smoke density.

  • Because of the tight pollution control of $SO_2$ emission, sulfuric acid manufacturers have been interested in the operation with the highest possible conversion efficiency. In this work, the design criteria and operating conditions of the catalytic converter were investigated for maximum conversion efficiency and minimum $SO_2$ emission by parametric analysis and process optimization for the existing acid plants. The Double Converter/Double Absorber(DC/DA) process was investigated by varying $SO_2$ compositions of feed gas, pressures and temperatures of layers of the converter and the depth of the catalyst beds. In order to evaluate the process, a computer simulator for sulfuric acid plants has been developed. The results by process optimization could be used for the converter design and operating conditions with highest conversion efficiency.

  • 우리나라의 경우, 생활문화 수준의 향상과 소득 증대에 따라 물 소비량이 증가하고 있으며, 이러한 물 소비량의 증가는 필연적으로 다량의 하수를 배출하게 되었고, 하수에 의한 수질오염을 방지하기 위하여 정부에서는 하수처리장 건설을 적극 추진하고 있는 실정이다. 2000년 현재 전국의 하수처리장은 172개소이며 처리 용량은 18,399.83 천ton/일이며, 하수처리율은 70%에 달하고 있다. 정부에서는 하수처리율을 2005년까지 85%로 높이기 위한 계획을 수립ㆍ추진 중에 있다. (중략)
