Co-combustion of RPF in the Coal Power plant (석탄화력발전소에서 폐플라스틱고형연료(RPF)의 혼소 연구)

  • The co-combustion of coal and RPF(Refuse Plastic Fuel) mixture has been experimented in a commercially operating CFB coal boiler and the emissions such as SOx, NOx, TSP and dioxine were measured at the stack. The experimented RPF was supplied by domestic RPF company that is commercially producing RPF pellet from the wasted plastics. Up to 15% of total coal was substituted to RPF and no trouble was happened during normal boiler operation. SOx and NOx concentration was reduced about $15{\sim}20$% and TSP(Total Suspended Particle) was drastically reduced about 30% during co-combustion. Dioxine concentration at mixing ratio of 7.5% was $0.0487ng{\sim}TEQ/Sm^3$ ($O_2$, 12%) that satisfied governmental emission regulation.

  • 우리나라 대기환경기준이 점차 강화되고 있고, 국민의 욕구수준 또한 선진국 수준으로 강화될 계획으로 있어 이에 따른 대기오염 방지시설의 설치 또는 보완이 요구되고 있다 특히, 배기가스 중 황산화물 및 질소산화물 배출농도 강화로 울산화력발전소에서는 최신의 배연탈황ㆍ탈질설비를 가동중에 있으나 황산 Mist가 주요원인으로 추정되는 Plume Opacity가 발생되어 오염물질 배출농도는 법적규제기준 이내로 배출되더라도 민원이 발생되고 있다. 이에 대한 대책으로 현장에 적합한 연료첨가제 주입으로 Plume Opacity 발생원인을 제거함과 동시에 배연탈황설비에서 발생된 저온부식 현상을 개선하고, 보일러 내 고온부식 등 연소장애 현상 개선을 통한 열효율 향상 방안에 대해 연구하였다.   • This study was performed to investigate the optimum microalgal culture conditions using flask culture and to find the feasibility of using the flue gas of the rice husk incinerator for cultivating the microalgae. The optimum initial pH of media was 4.5 for the microalgae culture, and the intermittently illuminated culture was more effective than the continuous illuminated culture. Thus, the balance between photosynthesis and formative metabolism must be considered thoroughly to cultivate microalgal cells. The optimum CO2 concentrations were in the range of 7 to 10%, and the optimum temperature was about 35$^{\circ}C$ in both the daytime and the nighttime for the culture. When flue gas of the rice husk incinerator was applied to the microalgae culture using stirred photobioreactor, the dry cell weight was 0.026 g dry biomass/hr$.$l. The results obtained in experiments indicated that the flue gas was effective for microalgae culture without any limitations.

  • 화재발생시 가장 주요한 사망원인인 유독가스의 제어와, 소방관의 소화활동을 돕기 위한 제연설비는 각 구성품이 유기적으로 동작하는 시스템을 이루기 때문에 전체의 조화도 중요하지만, 기본적으로 각 설비요소가 제 기능을 발휘할 때 전체 시스템의 제연성능을 확보할 수 있게 된다. 그러나 현재 법으로 규정된 국내기준은 주요 구성품별 성능을 제대로 평가할 수 있는 방법 및 기준이 없어 본 연구를 통하여 배연창의 성능평가기술을 개발하고 항목별 성능시험을 실시하여 평가방법의 적합성을 검토하고 국가표준을 만들기 위한 기초 자료로 제공하고자 한다.

  • Flue gas desulfurization(FGD) is an effective technique to remove $SO_2$ gases of coal-fired plants. Limestone is usually used as desulfurizing agent. In this study, we use the limestone sludge which is a by-product of steel industry in order to replace desulfurizing agent of FGD process. Physical and chemical characteristics analysis of desulfurizing agent was conducted. Desulfurizing agent using limestone sludge was fabricated by pre-treatment process and, then the agent was used on FGD process. Consequently, the tendency on the $SO_2$ concentration did not appear. And limestone sludge was considered as possible alternative agent for flue gas desulfurization process through absorber control system.

  • This research concerns the characteristics of tank barrel inner flow according to the barrel length and the pressure of ammunition when fired. By analyzing the flow characteristics of the bore evacuator according to barrel length and ammunition pressure regarding ammunition design, it is possible to prevent the flareback phenomenon that may occur during ammunition operation. Through bore evacuator flow analysis by barrel length and ammunition pressure, we identified key design factors concerning barrel and ammunition compatibility including speed, accuracy, penetration performance and range. Test results found if barrel length is long and ammunition pressure is low, bore evacuator operation time is slow. Therefore, there is a high probability that propellant gas will enter the battle vehicle. Therefore, the correlation analysis method of bore evacuator flow characteristics based on barrel length and ammunition pressure is considered as a primary method to improve operational performance. When designing new ammunition, the correlation analysis method will be used to determine ammunition weight and select the propellant pressure.

  • 최근에 각종 SOC사업이 본격화되면서 고속도로망 및 도시교통망 확충이 가속화되어 장대 터널이 급증하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 차량의 급속한 증가로 차량배기가스에 의한 터널내부 환경의 악화가 문제시되고 있다. 특히 도로터널은 반밀폐 공간으로 터널내에서의 사고는 인명피해와 막대한 재산 피해로 이어질 수 있으므로 안전운전을 위한 제반설비 및 대책이 필요하며 안전운행을 위한 가시거리 확보 및 쾌적한 환경에 대한 요구가 대두되고 있다. 따라서 터널에서 이와 같은 요구를 만족하기 위해서 기계환기설비가 투입되고 있으며 이에 대한 최적화 설계에 대한 필요성이 높아지고 있다.(중략)

  • This research was carried but to investigate the characteristics of mist removal with the change of operating conditions in the plasma reactor of impulse streamer corona based on the distribution of particle size measured by laser diffraction spectrometers. The operating conditions in this experiment were power of impulse streamer corona, gas velocity, collection time, and SOx/NOx concentration. The collection efficiency T(d) was estimated by distribution of particle size in the collection zone through the advanced model.

An analytical study on the fire characteristics of the small tunnel with large smoke exhaust port (대배기구 배연방식을 적용한 소형차 전용 터널의 화재특성에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • In order to solve the traffic congest and environmental issues, small-cross section tunnel for small car only is increasing, but there is not standard for installation of disaster prevention facility. In this study, in order to investigate the behavioral characteristics of thermal environment and smoke in a small cross section tunnels with a large port exhaust ventilation system, the A86, the U-Smartway and the Seobu moterawy tunnel, Temperature and CO concentration in case of fire according to cross sectional area, heat release rate and exhaust air flow rate were analyzed by numerical analysis and the results were as follows. As the cross-sectional area of the tunnel decreases, the temperature of the fire zone increases and the rate of temperature rise is not significantly affected by heat release rate. However, there is a difference depending on the change of the exhaust air flow rate. In the case of applying the exhaust air flow rate $Q_3+2.5Ar$ of the large port exhaust ventilation system, the temperature of the fire zone was 7.1 times for A86 ($Ar=25.3m^2$) and 5.4 time for U-smartway ($Ar=37.32m^2$) by Seobu moterway tunnel ($Ar=46.67m^2$). The CO concentration of fire zone also showed the same tendency. The A86 tunnels were 10.7 times and the U-Smartways were 9.5 times more than the Seobu moterway. Therefore, in the case of a small section tunnel, the thermal environment and noxious gas concentration due to the reduction of the cross-sectional area are expected to increase significantly more than the cross-sectional reduction rate.
