There has been a lot of interest in an effective method for background subtraction in an effort to separate foreground objects from a predefined background image. Promising results on background subtraction using statistical methods have recently been reported are robust enough to operate in dynamic environments, but generally require very large computational resources and still have difficulty in obtaining clear segmentation of objects. We use a simple running-average method to model a gradually changing background, instead of using a complicated statistical technique. We employ a single global threshold vector, optimized by a genetic algorithm, instead of pixel-by-pixel thresholds. A new fitness function is defined and trained to evaluate segmentation result. The system has been implemented on a PC with a webcam, and experimental results on real images show that the new method outperforms an existing method based on a mixture of Gaussian.

본 논문에서는 대부분의 데스크탑 컴퓨터 환경에서 브라우저의 플러그인으로 설치되어 컨텐츠를 재생하는 플래시 컨텐츠 양식을 이용하여 휴대용 단말기의 배경 화면으로 사용할 수 있는 컨텐츠 제작 도구와 이를 이용한 휴대용 단말기에 컨텐츠를 제공하기 위한 서비스 구축에 대하여 기술한다. 컨텐츠 저작 도구는 휴대 단말기의 개인화 특성에 기반을 두어, 사용자가 영상, 사운드와 저작 도구에서 제공하는 기능성 아이템, 컨텐츠의 전환 효과, 아이콘 및 텍스트 등을 이용하여 컨텐츠를 구성하고, 자동 생성 도구를 이용하여 모바일 플래시 컨텐츠를 생성한다. 생성된 컨텐츠는 미리보기 엔진을 통해서 휴대 단말기에서의 동작을 에뮬레이션해 준다. 저작된 컨텐츠는 전송 기능을 통해 휴대단말기로 전송되어 배경 화면으로 활용된다. 상기 컨텐츠 저작 도구를 활용해 개발된 서비스 시스템은 현재 상용 서비스 중에 있다.

Collection and use of personal information have enabled firms to improve their value propositions by offering personalization. On the other hand, they have caused widespread concerns by consumers that their privacy is invaded. Because previously distributed personal information can be integrated and utilized to offer more personalized services, those concerns may be intensified with the progress of the digital convergence environment. In this study, factors for privacy invasion and their impact on the privacy concerns are suggested. Then, an empirical study is conducted to examine some of the suggestions. From the analysis, several results are derived. First, as more personal data are collected, secrecy and autonomy concerns increase exponentially rather than steadily. Second, as targeting accuracy is improved, greater secrecy and autonomy concerns are expressed by consumers, but less seclusion concerns. Finally, monetary reward such as coupons can reduce seclusion concerns when targeting accuracy is high. Based on the results, implications for managing consumer privacy concerns are provided under digital convergence environment.

공공정보 공유 및 개방, 소셜네트워크서비스의 활성화 그리고 사용자 간의 공유 데이터 증가 등의 이유로 인터넷상에 노출되는 사용자의 개인 정보가 증가하고 있다. 인터넷상에 노출된 사용자들의 개인정보들은 연결공격(linkage attack), 배경지식 공격(background attack)으로 프라이버시를 침해할 수 있다. 이를 막기 위해 관계형 데이터베이스에서는 대표적으로 k-익명성(k-anonymity)을 시작으로 l-다양성(l-diversity), t-밀집성(t-closeness)이라는 익명화 모델이 제안되었으며 계속해서 익명화 알고리즘의 성능은 개선되고 있다. 하지만 k-익명성, l-다양성, t-밀집성 모델의 조건을 만족하기 위해서는 준식별자(quasi-identifier)를 일반화(generalization)처리 해주어야 하는데 이 과정에서 준식별자의 가치를 손실된다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서 준식별자의 정보 손실을 최소화하기 위해 k-익명성 모델을 만족시키는 과정에서 일반화와 데이터를 삽입을 사용하는 익명화 처리하는 방법을 제안한다.

2008년 세계 금융위기 이후 미국, 독일, 일본 등 제조 강국을 중심으로 제조업의 중요성이 다시 부각되고 있다. 제조업의 선진화의 핵심은 ICT 융합이며, 크게 두 가지 방향에서 추진된다. 첫째는 기존 제조과정에 ICT 기술을 적용하여 자동화되고 지능화된 미래 스마트공장을 구축하는 것이다. 이는 기존 제조업이 노동, 자본 등의 요소 투입 의존적 성장이 아닌 ICT 기술융합을 통한 지속 가능한 성장을 유도하고자 하는 것이다. 둘째는 ICT 기술을 이용하여 기존의 생산체계를 맞춤형 제조 또는 개인화 제조로 변화시켜 신(新)제조서비스를 창출하는 것이다. 이는 ICT 융합을 통해 제조업에 개방형 혁신을 이루고, 제조의 서비스화를 통해 고부가가치화를 추진하고자 하는 것이다. 본고에서는 이러한 두 가지 배경하에서 ICT 기반의 미래 스마트공장의 개념과 관련기술에 대하여 논의하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing relationship quality and L-Loyalty in Location-Based Service (LBS). This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to LBS, relationship quality, and L-Loyalty. The target population of this study is LBS users. The results of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, personalization and perceived value positively influence commitment and perceived risk negatively influence commitment. Second, personalization, ubiquity, and perceived value positively influence satisfaction and perceived risk negatively influence satisfaction. Finally, commitment and satisfaction positively influence L-Loyalty. The results of the study will provide various implications to improve relationship quality and to secure high loyalty customers in LBS.

Based on that the purpose of professionalization in librarianship is to achieve social recognition of its specialty, we discuss about theoretical background for the professionalization in librarianship in Korea. Some characteristics from the previous discussions are identified, such as functionalism, altruism in service, and individualism. Also, we identify organization-centered characteristic as an inherent one in librarianship. Based on the characteristics identified, we discuss about some supportive concepts, such as advanced or complex knowledge, service, organization-centered characteristic, and market, and their interrelationships. We hope such concepts would encourage further discussions on this topic for the professionalization.

Compared with analog broadcasting, digital broadcasting supports technical background to provide personalize the TV watching environment by offering broadcasting services that can adapt to viewers' preferences. However, current digital broadcasting shows limited services such as reservation recording, simple program guiding with an electronic program guide (EPG) on a personal video recorder system, and primitive data broadcasting by broadcasters. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to suggest a new broadcasting environment which gives a person facility and a difference fur watching TV by serving enhanced personalized services. For that reason, we propose an intelligent broadcasting system which can minimize viewer's actions, and enhanced broadcasting services which are based on understanding of the semantics of broadcasting contents. To implement the system, agent technology as well as the MPEG-7 and TV-Anytime Forum (TVAF) are employed. For content-level services, real-time content filtering and personalized video skimming are designed and implemented. To verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we demonstrate it with a test-bed on which content-level personalized services are implemented.

본 논문은 복잡한 배경을 가지고 있는 영상에서 우리가 원하는 손의 움직임의 일부인 가위, 바위, 보를 인식함으로써 좀 더 자연스러운 인간과 컴퓨터의 상호작용(HCI, Human and Computer Interface)을 이루고자 하였다. 정규화된 RGB 색상 공간에서 정의한 피부색의 가우시안 분포를 이용하여 조명의 변화나 개인의 차이에도 효과적이고 안정적으로 손 영역을 찾아내고자 하였으며, 추출된 손 영역은 RBF 신경망을 이용하여 가위, 바위, 보로 인식되도록 하고, 다양한 pattern에 대응하는 효율적인 training방법을 사용하였다.
