Effect of reference on the distortion of 3D slant perception of semitransparent motion-induced surface during disjunctive eye movement (원근방향 추적 눈 운동 시 참조자극이 자극운동 유도 표면의 삼차원 경사지각 왜곡에 미치는 효과)

  • Various perceptual distortions in spatial vision occur during eye movements. Most of the studies on perceptual distortion have focused on the conjunctive eye movements. Recently, Li, Kham, Kim & Yoon (2002) reported that subjects experienced perceptual distortion of 3D slant of an object defined by the spatiotemproal pattern of occlusion. The present research examined whether the subjects experienced the same perceptual distortion in the target object whose luminance is different from that of background. It also examined the effect of the reference on the perceptual distortion of 3D slant of an object.

GPS와 VLBI 관측소의 해수하중에 의한 수직방향 지각변위 평가를 위한 기초 연구

  • GPS와 VLBI와 같은 우주측지 기술을 이용한 정밀 측위는 수 mn 정밀도의 관측소 좌표결정과 1 mm/year 정도의 고정밀 속도결정에 이용된다. 이를 위해서는 여러 가지 오차 요인들과 다양한 물리적 현상에 대한 모델링이 이루어져야 한다. 그 중의 하나가 해수 하중(ocean loading)에 의한 수직방향의 지각변위이다. 특히 한반도의 서해안은 복잡한 리아스식 해안으로 이루어져 있고, 조수간만의 차이가 크기 때문에 현존하는 모델의 정확도가 떨어진다. KVN(Korean VLBI Network)사업에서 추진하는 3기의 VLBI 중 2기가 서울과 제주도에 설치될 계획이므로, 해수하중에 의한 지각변위에 관한 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 또한 국내 GPS상시관측소의 많은 수가 서해안 지역에 설치되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 서해안 지역의 해수하중에 의한 수직방향의 지각변위를 GPS로 관측하고 이를 서해안 해수조류 모델의 정밀도를 향상시키는데 필요한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 서해안의 4개 GPS 관측소 위치에서의 해수하중에 의한 지각변위를 계산해본 결과 인천 지역에는 3 cm에 육박하는 지각변위가 수직으로 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 같은 크기와 위상의 지각변위 진폭을 GPS로 검출하기 위한 여러 가지 오차 보정과 GIPSY를 이용한 고정밀 키네마틱 GPS 자료처리에 대하여 상세히 소개한다.

Characteristic Analysis of Crustal Movement around Korean Peninsula By IGS Data (IGS 자료에 의한 한반도 주변의 지각변동 특성 해석)

  • In this study, IGS(International GNSS Service) stations were processed by the method of PPP(Precise Point Positioning), and velocities of crustal movements about the region of the Korean Peninsula were calculated precisely. The characteristics of crustal movements around Korean Peninsula were understood by velocity calculation of crustal movements. We confirmed from the result which calculated by crustal movement velocity shows the movement Eurasia and North America plate move to south-east, and Philippine plate moves to north-west. This result is respected to be utilized as a basic data about analysis of earthquake and earth physics.

Perception of heading direction in dynamic random-dot and real-image motions (역동적인 무선점 및 실제영상 운동에서 관찰자의 진행 방향 지각)

  • We investigated whether human could perceive the heading direction from the optic flow made from random dots and real images simulating the motion of the observer and objects. When an object moves across the focus of expansion(FOE) in random dot simulation. the observer perceived the focus of expansion biased toward the motion direction of the object. supporting the hypothesis that the direction repulsion is produced between the expansional and the horizontal planar motion components. With real image display observers tended to perceive one's heading direction biased toward the c center of the scene regardless of the direction and position of moving 0bcts. And it was observed that the deeper the depth of the background was the larger the judgment error was. These results suggest it is more likely that human depends on different cues than the optic flow when they perceive or judge one's heading direction in the real environment.

  • The question how man can perceive the direction of a sound is one of the traditional psychoacoustical problems. Rayleigh already began to investigate this subject in 1870s and kept on interesting himself intermittently throughout his research career. Rayleigh was only concerned with this subject among those of perception of sound and focused more interest on it than any other acoustical problems. At first he insisted on the perception of the direction of a sound by the difference of intensity of a sound in two ears. but was phased in accepting that by the difference of phase of a sound there. Thus he arrived at the modern view that the perception of the sound direction is caused by the difference of intensity in high frequencies and the difference of phase in low frequencies. Rayleigh presented his ability as an excellent experimenter by employing very cautious and ingenious experimental settings and acquired persuasive results by linking the consequences of his mathematical theorization with his experiments.

  • The effects of strategic partnership can be positive or negative. This paper intends to explain why the partnership produces opposite results. This paper incorporates strategic behavioral direction and perceived values for relational performance. The conceptual model as well as empirical analysis was made and the results are as follows. First, this study uses bi-directional decomposition of two research constructs. The first construct of perceived values is classified into benefits and risks. Also, the behavioral directions are either active or passive behaviors. The critical path is found that the perceived benefits make significant effects on active behavioral direction which does on commitment. Another path is that the perceived risks make passive behavioral direction which results in opportunistic behaviors between strategically partnered firms.

  • The perceived position of a flashing target object is generally biased towards the direction of eye movement when there is no reference around the target. Current research examined the localization accuracy of a flashing target relative to a static reference. The perceived location of the target relative to the reference was distorted and the pattern of perceptual distortion systematically depended on the position of the reference relative to the target. This kind of result was consistently observed regardless of the distance between the reference and the target and direction of pursuit eye movement. We have discussed how these results could he explained by the theories previously suggested to explain the localization of objects.

  • 본 연구는 가족의 구매의사결정에 대한 실증조사로서 성별역할관념론 및 자원이론과 가족구성원의 지각된 영향 간의 관계를 규명하였다. 영향을 주는 구성원은 남편과 아내와 자녀로 한정했으며, 영향을 지각하는 가족구성원은 남편과 아내로 제한하였다. 성별역할관념변수는 Scanzoni Sex-Role Scale(SSRS)로 측정하였으며, 자원변수는 남편과 아내 각자의 수입과 교육수준으로 측정하였다. SSRS 는 요인분석을 사용하여 차원(요인)을 파악한 후 자원변수와 함께 지각된 영향 간의 관계를 규명하기 위하여 다변량 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 요인분석 결과는 Scanzoni(1975)의 분석 결과와 요인구조 면에서 차이가 있었다. SSRS 는 아내의 척도 2 개 차원과 남편의 척도 3 개 차원으로 구성되어 있다. 그러나 본 연구에서 남편의 척도는 1 개의 차원으로 나타났다. 조사대상이 된 제품은 TV, 냉장고, 세탁기, 침대, 장롱, 식탁, 자동차, 남성정장, 여성정장, 여행지로 모두 10 개 였다. 성별역할관념변수의 영향을 분석한 결과는 "제품 특이적"이거나, 영향을 지각하는 "지각주체 특이적"이거나, 성별역할관념의 "차원 특이적" 현상을 보였다. 또한 우리나라의 남편들은 성별역할관념변수에 상관없이 자기의 영향을 더욱더 크게 지각하는 반면, 아내의 영향을 더욱더 적게 지각하는 경향이 있었다. 아내들도 남편보다는 자기의 영향을 더욱더 크게 지각하는 경향이 있으나 남편만큼 강한 것은 아니었다. 이 결과를 분석하면 남편들은 남성우월의 전통을 유지하려는 경향이 높은 반면 아내들은 이런 전통에 변화를 기대하는 진보적 성향을 띠고 있는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구의 결과 자원이론은 지지를 받지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말해 자원이론은 부부사이에서 기대했던 영향과 반대 방향으로 나타났을 뿐만 아니라 부모와 자식 간에도 기대했던 것과 반대 방향으로 나타났다.

  • Perception refers to the process of acquiring all the information about the environment through various sensory organs such as the visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory senses and integrating and interpreting the information transmitted to the brain. The ability to use these perceptions efficiently is called perceptual skill, and perceptual skill is an important factor for improving performance in the field of sports. As a result, many researchers have developed various perceptual training programs to maximize these perceptual skills while they have also progressed on attempting to verify their effects. The perceptual skill training introduced in this study is a training method that focuses on visual perception and is a training method that is applied in the United States and Europe. to improve sports performance. As a result of carrying out the perceptual skills training based on the kicker's important clue (the kicker's hip - the angle of the body and foot before kicking) to the goalkeeper in the situation of a soccer penalty kick improved the ability of predicting the direction of the ball while even in tennis, carrying out the perceptual skills training based on the server's important clue (position, ball, racket) improved the accuracy of the ability to predict in the direction of serve. Recently, there have been numerous research studies that were carried out on such perceptual skills training, but the number of studies conducted are insufficient, especially in Korea where research studies on perceptual training seem to be in a relatively neglected state. In addition, extensive studies need to be carried out to investigate whether the improvement of perceptual skills in the laboratory situation can be transitioned to an actual performance situation. Therefore, in order to elevate sports performance, researchers need to examine the perceptual training program's extent of necessity as well as the research direction regarding its effects.

Analysis of Korea's Crustal Movement Velocity After the Great Tohoku-Oki Earthquake by Using GPS (GPS를 이용한 토호쿠 대지진 이후 한반도 지각변동 속도 분석)

  • The great Tohoku-oki earthquake which occurred on March 11, 2011, caused crustal movements in both Korea and Japan. This study attempts to analyze velocity changes of crustal movement of Korea Peninsula due to the Tohoku-oki earthquake and to compare the calculation with precious crustal movenents of Korea Peninsula. We found that the crustal movement velocity of South Korea increased 3.9 mm/yr northward and 7.5 mm/yr eastward on average as a result of the Tohoku-oki earthquake; when this figure is compared with the past crustal movement velocities of the Korea Peninsula.
