A maximum of 3 km thickness of sediments were deposited above basement deformed by volcanic activities around the Dok Island. As the geological structure, the tension caused the basement-involved normal faults in the early stage of basin formation, whereas the sediment layers showed normal faults, volcanic domes and sills caused by volcanic activities. From the distribution of volcanics in order of age at the Ulleung Basin, volcanic activities were increased toward the northeastern direction (toward Dok Island). The study area is characterized by extensional crustal deformation before sediment deposition during the Early or Middle Miocene age, After the Late Miocene age, the basin was deformed by deep buried volcanics or subsidence of basin, in consequence, became complex geological structures.

Intraseasonal variability of the tropical convection over the Indian/western Pacific is studied using the Geostationary Meteorological Satellite high cloud amount. This study is directed to find the tropical-extratropical interaction in the frequency range of intraseasonal and interannual variabilities of the summer monsoon occured over the domain of 90E-171W and 495-50N. Especially, in order to investigate the intraseasonal interaction of last Asia summer monsoon associated with the tropical convections in the high cloud amounts, the spatial and time structure of the intraseasonal oscillation for the movement-and the evolution of the large-scale connections are studied. To describe the spatial and the time evolution, the extended empirical orthogonal function analysis is applied. The first mode may be considered to a normal structure, indicating that the strong convection band over 90E-120E is extended to sastward but this mode was detected as the intraseasonal variability during summer monsoon. It is found that the dominant intraseasonal mode of the tropical convection consists of the spatial changes over a broad period range centered around 40~50days.

This research aims at suggesting a case of designing theme-based integrated learning for usage smart media. New approach and direction for developing a gaming instructional design was suggested which can encourage learners to participate in. Quest-based learning, the learning environment design where learners conduct various learner-centered activities, plays an important role of reinforcing the motivation, promoting experiential and cooperative learning based on social interaction. The design using QR codes has been proved to be able to offer the learner-centered learning environment which includes social interaction strategy required for learners expanding their cognitive structure, motivation enhancing strategy encouraging their consistent participation in learning, complex problematic situation and scaffolding strategy emphasized by constructivism. And it is expected to contribute to promoting the design of theme-based integrated learning which is being demanded in the educational environment recently by combining systematic design process and strategies.

This study examines the technologies and application processes related to the use of pseudonym data of companies after the passage of the Data 3 Act to activate the data economy in earnest, and what companies should prepare to use pseudonym data and what will happen in the process It was intended to contribute to the elimination of uncertainty. In the future, companies will need to extend the information security management system from the perspective of the existing IT system to manage and control data privacy protection and management from a third party provisioning perspective. In addition, proper pseudonym data use control should be implemented even in the data use environment utilized by internal users. The economic effect of market change and heterogeneous data combination due to the use of pseudonymized data will be very large, and standards for appropriate non-identification measures and risk assessment criteria for data utilization and transaction activation should be prepared in a short time.

All learners have to improve problem-solving abilities based on the principles of Computer Science and Computational Concepts as well as enhance their information technology fluency for living in the 21st century. However, there are no clear answers for fundamental questions such as 'What is Computer Science?' or 'What is the nature of Informatics education?'. Informatics education is threatened by the terminological confusion and misleading external images of Computer Science or Informatics education. Therefore, in this study, we closely reviewed perspectives on the nature and necessity of Informatics education and suggested a perspective to improve Informatics education. First, we examined how the definition of Computer Science has changed and pointed out that the Computer Science curriculum has operated differently from country to country because of the different viewpoints about Computer Science. Moreover, we presented evidence to assert that Informatics education should be considered as an independent science subject that is for all students. Finally, we suggested essential elements to insist that Informatics is a discipline to improve computational thinking. Essential elements consisted of 'Representations', 'Processes', 'Machines', 'Relationships' and 'Construction'. We suggested that the concept of Informatics should be extended based on these five elements.

With the advent of new media richness of technology in the digital age has transformed our lives. The development of technology, the more our lives more convenient, new, future-oriented, while expectations for the digital age, people are longing for warm, human sensibility became. Of modernism and post-modernism appeared to reflect the proliferation of digital media in culture, wandering through the complex has been diversifying. In the digital age stabilizing psychological or mental needs of people who want to begin to emerge as the disfunctional aspects of the digital age has been suggested for the problem. To respond to human emotion on the emotional reaction of users to consider the analog emotional design began to emerge. The analog to digital media to express emotions practical approach to the problem should be attempted. Analog in a digital environment, emotional nature of the digital technology and communication, and symbolic and emotional aspects of people as announced to blend the new extension, change, and an analog emotional design for the evolution and development of new possibilities to investigate the castle.

The effective cyber capability assessment methodology does not exist, it's difficult to check the current state of the our country's cyber capabilities and to establish cyber capability enhancement plan based on the result of assessment. The cyber capability assessment is necessary in order to determine the current level of the country, establish policy directions and provide the basis for effective budgeting. But assessment of national cyber capability is multi-criteria decision makink problem. In this paper develops an assessment model based on the AHP and TOPSIS. AHP is used to determine weight of the criteria and TOPSIS method is used to obtain final ranking. We also introduce the result of four major nations cyber capability assessment using the proposed methodology. The experiment used the virtual experimental data. And the result show that the proposed methodology can expand the number of criteria and alternatives for assessment and provide more sophisticated mathematical base for objective assessment comparing methodology using AHP only.

With the help of information technology, PVR has been evaluated as an innovative device that brings epochal changes for program selection and convenience of receivers with the convergence between broadcasting and telecommunication. Satellite broadcasters introduced PVR service to strengthen its interactive function. This study analyzed PVR user behavior and how it changed the existing TV viewing behavior through satellite subscribers. The results revealed that PVR subscribers mainly used it for time shifting like VCR use. FUrthermore, heavy PVR users watched TV more than on average and enjoyed a divers genre of programs. This study provides scholarly implication for PVR using behavior and its effects and its useful information for contents and marketing strategy to help PVR service popularization.

Since Macintosh computer was introduced in 1984, important technological evolution has not only changed the computer graphics field but had a significant effect in the graphic design field for its judgement of aesthetic value. In Korea, the development of digital typeface and electronic pre-press business became active due to computer design system since Macintosh computer was introduced in 1987. Currently there are many digital type foundries in Korea and they have produced over 500 typefaces of the Korean alphabet. However, a few technological limitations and aesthetic problems still exist in the development of the Korean typeface. In this study, I have examined the role and function of computer technology in typography. Also I analyzed the aesthetic elements which are found in computer technology and compared them to traditional typography to try to find some opportunity and possibility for new method of development.
