  • 대기환경오염물질인 NO가스의 제거를 위하여 방전관을 채용한 3전극-2갭 방식의 새로운 형태의 오존발생기를 설계 제작하였다. 본 논문에서는 원료가스의 유량, 방전전력 및 오존발생기의 사용 개수 변화에 따른 방전특성과 오존생성특성을 연구검토하였으며, 오존발생기로부터 생성된 오존을 NO가스에 접촉시켰을 때 NO 제거특성이 우수하여 방전관형 오존발생기가 대기환경개선 설비로 적용가능함을 확인하였다.

  • I본 논문은 저압 수은-아르곤 기체방전을 이용한 콤팩트 형광램프에 대한 모델링으로서 방전관 내 기체의 반경방향 입자밀도 변화를 고려한 입자평형식, 에너지보존식 및 회로방정식 등의 모델 방정식을 구성하여 이를 상용전원 구동회로와 결합한 13[W] PL 콤팩트 형광램프에 적용하였다. 계산된 전류와 램프전압의 실효치 및 파형을 실험치와 비교하여 모델이 타당함을 보였다.

Silent discharge is considered as one of the most effective methods to generator ozone.   • Hg-free fluorescent lamps were fabricated and electro-optical characterization were measured for using LCD backlight. PDP phosphors, nitro-cellulose and n-butyl acetate were mixed and coated uniformly in glass tube without stain. The glass tubes were sintered at $550^{\circ}C$ for 20 minutes, vacuumed to $10^{-6}$ torr and supplied discharge gas by using a gas mixture. After various experiment about phosphors thickness and inner diameter of glass tube, the appropriate phosphors thickness and inner diameter of glass tube were obtained. The luminance and luminous efficiency of manufactured fluorescent lamps with Ne+Xe discharge gas were $6,270cd/m^2$, 13 lm/W under 75 kHz sinusoidal wave voltage, respectively.

  • This paper describes a design and fabrication of an electronic ballast for 70[W]ceramic discharge metal halide lamps. The proposed ballast is composed of a rectifier, an active PFC, a half-bridge inverter, a LC resonant circuit and a controller. The design also includes a specially designed time circuit which provides reignition of the lamp. Running frequency of the ballast is set at 45[KHz]to avoid acoustic-resonance and flicker. from the test results, input power factor and efficiency of the ballast were estimated 91[%] and 97.7[%], respectively.

  • the basic model of chemical reactor using glow discharge, we used cathode discharge cell with vacant cavity in the middle. Currently glow discharge is widely studied as a radiation source or atomization device in atomic spectroscopy and remarkable technological achievements are made through the graft with other analysis devices such as microanalysis and steel analysis.1 Additionally, as the characteristics of basic glow discharge and radiation have been reviewed many times, those results could be used in this experiment.2-3 In 1993, an article regarding the treatment of poisonous gas in the air using low temperature plasma was published. According to this article, if DC Glow Discharge is used under continuous atmospheric flow, poisonous gases such as SO2 and NO can be removed.4 Based on those findings, we designed highly efficient reactor where stable air plasma is composed and all air flow pass the negative glow area passing through the tube. It was observed that the cathode tube type glow discharge developed in this study would be economical, easy to use and could be used as radiation source as well.

  • In this paper microwave power propagated through the cold plasma was analyzed and measured with respect to the external magenetic flux density. The d. c discharge plasma was in the rectangular waveguide in which two electrode was inserted, and also the glass diseharge tube inserted in the ractangular wavegside. The direction of microwave pro-pagation, the axis of the discharge tube and external magnetic flux were perpendicular to each other. It showed that the attenuation and absorption of micro wave power propagated in the plasma was increased as the magnetic flux density, the discharge current and the pressure of the gas were increased.
