An Effective Mitigation Method on the Signal-Integrity Effects by Splitting of a Return Current Plane (귀환 전류 평면의 분할에 기인하는 신호 무결성의 효과적인 대책 방법)

  • Generally a return current plane(RCP) of high speed digital and analog part is partitioned. This is achieved in order to decrease the noise interference between subsystem in PCBs(Printed Circuit Boards). However, when the connected signal line exists between each sub system, this partition will cause unwanted effects. In a circuital point of view, RCP partition has a bad influence upon signal integrity. In a EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) point of view, the partition of the return current plane becomes a primary factor to increase the radiated emission. Component bridge(CB) is usecl for the way of maintaining signal integrity, still specific user's guide doesn't give sufficient principle. In a view point of signal integrity, design principle of multi-CB using method will be analyzed by measurement and simulation. And design principle of noise mitigation will be provided. Generally interval of CB is ${\lambda}/20$ ferrite bead. In this study. When multi-CB connection is applied, design principle of ferrite bead and chip resistor is proved by measurement and simulation. Multi-connected chip resistance$(0{\Omega})$ is proved to be more effective design method in the point of signal integrity.

Development of Reading Comprehensive Strategy Program for Underachieving Gifted Students (중학교 영재학생의 미성취 문제 해결을 위한 중재방안으로서의 읽기 이해 전략 프로그램 개발)

  • This study handled underachievement issue of gifted students by developing and validating educational programs as a solution, or relief, of their academic underachievement problems. The proposed educational program was designed to enhancing reading comprehension ability of gifted students with underachievement. Based on comprehensive literature review, this study found that key issues of underachievement have to do with learning strategy, and also that learning strategy was established as 'reading comprehension strategy.' Considering diverse reading comprehension models and strategies suggested by preceding studies, the reading comprehension strategy program in Korean was customized for underachieving gifted students on the middle school level. The effectiveness of the reading comprehension strategy program as a solution to underachievement of gifted students was explored by applying the developed program to 36 identified students after school twice a week for 6 weeks, conducting pre- and post-tests that were selected to measure their reading comprehension abilities, collecting their academic achievement data before and after the intervention by this study, and interviewing students. As the results of this study, reading metacognition ability, reading comprehension skills, and school grades of gifted students with underachievement were meaningfully improved as a group. On the individual level, 12 identified students, exactly one third of the whole group of underachieving gifted students, showed so improved academic achievement as we can say they overcame underachievement based on the Supplee's definition.

  • 수력, 화력, 원자력 다음으로 제 4의 전원으로서 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 연료전지는 연료가 가지고있는 화학에너지를 직접에너지로 변환시키는 점에서 종래의 발전 기술과는 원리적으로 다르며, 카르노(Carnot)사이클에 의한 에너지 변환 효율의 제한을 받지 않기 때문에 효율이 높으며 공해가 없는 특징을 가지고 있다. 연료전지의 발전 방식은 작동 온도, 전해질 등에 의해서 분류되나 현재 실용화단계의 기술은 인산형연료전지 발전이다. 인산형 연료전지의 발전용 연료는 천연가스, 메탄올, 납사 등과 같은 탄화수소 계열의 다양한 연료를 사용할 수 있으며, 이들 연료들을 수소가 많이 함유된 가스로 변환시켜 연료전지에 공급하여야 한다. 연료전지발전시스템 개발은 주로 전력이용 측면에서 천연가스를 개질연료로 사용하는 연구가 주류를 이루었으나, 최근에는 전 세계적으로 대기 공해에 시달리고 있는 도시의 환경개선을 위하여 도심용 버스 및 대형 트럭 등에 응용하기 위한 무공해 수송용 자동차엔진의 개발, 국방용 이동전원 개발 및 100㎾ 미만의 현지설치용 및 낙도용 전원으로서 메탄올을 연료로 한 연료전지의 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 한국에너지기술연구소는 한국전력 기술연구원과 공동으로 1989년부터 1992년까지 본체를 제외한 5.9㎾급 인산형 연료전지 발전시스템 즉, 메탄올 연료 개질장치, 운전자동화 시스템, 배열이용 시스템, 종합 배관 등을 설계 구성하여 발전 플랜트의 운전 특성 연구를 수행하였으며, 본 고에서는 이들 설비들의 운전 특성과 발전 플랜트로서의 효율 특성에 대한 고찰을 수행하였다. 본 시스템은 연료개질기가 연결되고 배열을 이용하는 국내최초의 종합적인 연료전지 발전 시스템으로서 개질된 연료로 운전하였을 경우 본체의 효율은 31.9%, 배열을 회수한 종합발전 플랜트의 효율은 45.2%였다.로서, 흰쥐 유선이 LH의 생성처이면서 동시에 작용처이며 유선에서 합성된 GnRH의 조절하에 국부적인 인자로 작용할 가능성을 시사한다.f variation)가 10% 내외로 만족할 만한 범위에 들었다. 본 실험 방법을 타액과 혈청내 testosterone 농도 측정에 응용하여 RIA의 결과와 비교하여 본 바 상관관계가 타액에서 r=0.969, 혈청에서 r=0.990으로 두 결과가 잘 일치하였다. 본 실험에서 측정된 한국인 여성의 타액내 testosterone농도는 107.7$\pm$12.0 pmol/l이었고, 남성의 타액내 농도는 274.2$\pm$22.1 pmol/l이었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 연구에서 정립된 EIA 방법은 RIA를 대신하여 소규모의 실험실에서도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.또한 상실기 이후 배아에서 합성되며, 발생시기에 따라 그 영향이 다르고 팽창과 부화에 관여하는 것으로 사료된다. 더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea. Case Study on the Hazard Susceptibility Prediction of Debris Flows using Surface Water Concentration Analysis and the Distinct Element Method (수계 집중도 분석 및 개별요소법을 이용한 토석류 위험도 예측 사례 연구)

  • Various studies regarding the prediction of landslides are underway internationally. Research into disaster prevention with regard to debris flows is a particular focus of research because this type of landslide can cause enormous damage over a short period. The objective of this study is to determine the hazard susceptibility of debris flow via predictions of surface water concentrations based on the concept that a debris flow is similar to a surface water flow, as it is influenced by mountain topography. This study considered urban areas affected by large debris flows or landslides. Digital mapping (including the slope and upslope contributing areas) and the wetness index were used to determine the relevant topographic factors and the hydrology of the area. We determined the hazard susceptibility of debris flow by predicting the surface water concentration based on the topography of the surrounding mountainous terrain. Results obtained using the distinct element method were used to derive a correlation equation between the weight and the impact force of the debris flow. We consider that in using a correlation equation, this method could assist in the effective installation of debris-flow-prevention structures.

A Critical Review of the Transfer of Presidential Security Work to the Police (대통령경호업무 경찰 이관에 대한 비판적 소고)

  • Last year, the Moon Jae-In administration made an attempt to abolish the presidential security office overseeing the presidential security and to transfer the work to the presidential security service under the National Police Agency. Currently, all of the G7 nations maintain a security system spearheaded by the police, so the policy of transferring the presidential security to the National Police Agency may be discussed. However, it is necessary to focus on the following reality. First, the current presidential security system is consisted of the overlapping security organizations classified into (1) inner ring of the presidential security agency, (2) middle ring of the police agency, and (3) outer ring of the capital defense command. If the presidential security agency is abolished, a vacuum will result as per the principle of class. Second, for the efficient security guard of the President, currently, the presidential security agency at the Presidential Security Safety Measure Committee plays the role of coordinating the tasks. If the National Police Agency becomes the control tower of the presidential security, whether command will be available for the military and diplomatic aspects of the presidential security work should also be considered. Third, Korea is currently in a truce with North Korea, so there is a big difference in terms of the security environment with such G7 nations as the UK, Germany, France, and Japan.

Design on the large section of station tunnel under shallow overburden (저토피고 대단면 정거장터널의 설계)

  • For minimizing the effect on the focus of civil traffic and environment conditions related to the excavation at the traffic jamming points, an underground station tunnel was planned with 35.5 m in length and bigger area than $200\;m^2$ in sedimentary rock mass. It faced the case that the overburden was just under 13 m. Not based on a pattern design but on the case histories of similar projects and arching effect, the design of large section tunnel under shallow overburden was investigated on three design subjects which are shape effect on the section area, application method of support pressure, and supporting and tunnel safety. According to the mechanical effect from section shape, a basic design and a preliminary design was obtained, and then supporting method of large section was planned by the supporting of NATM and a pipe roof method for subsidence prevention and mechanical stability. From the comparative study between both designs, it was found that the basic design was suitable and acceptable for the steel alignment of tunnel lining, safety and the design parameter restricted by the limit considered as partition of the excavation facilities. Through the analysis result of preliminary design showing the mechanical stability without stress concentration in tunnel arch level, it also was induced that shape effect of the large section area and yielding load obtained from deformation zone in the surrounding rock mass of tunnel have to be considered as major topics for the further development of design technique on the large section tunnel.

A Study on the Removal of Phosphorus from Wastewater by Redox Reaction of Cu-Zn metal alloy (Cu-Zn 금속합금의 산화 환원 반응을 이용한 수중 탈인처리에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the removal efficiency of phosphorus from synthetic waste water by reduction and oxidation reaction of Cu-Zn metal alloy. Cu-Zn metal alloy applied in this study is composed of 40% of Zn and 60% of Cu, which is so called Muntz metal. And the fibrous type of metal alloy has approximately $200{\mu}m$ of thickness. Metal is oxidized in an aqueous solution to generate electron and metal ion. The mechanism of phosphate treatment is co-precipitation of metal ion and phosphorous ion at various pH and temperature. The treatment efficiency showed the maximum at a one cycle treatment. This result means that the surface area of reaction material is sufficient enough to get reaction equilibrium. Experiment is conducted at various pH from 5 to 9, and showed the maximum efficiency at pH 8. Phosphorous is dominated as a type of $H_2PO_4{^-}$ and $HPO_4{^{2-}}$ at this pH condition. We could not consider the temperature effect independently, because phosphorous removal efficiency showed such a complex mechanism. We could get high efficiency at lower temperature in this research.

A study on the Recovery of waste fluids of the conservation treatment of waterlogged wooden artifacts (수침목재유물보존처리 폐액의 재활용에 관한 연구)

  • Archaeological waterlogged woods found under the sea, in lakes, or in swamp environments are generally weak and fragile. If waterlogged wood materials were taken out of the water and left without modification, they would collapse and lose their original dimensions completely. Conservation is performed to replace the water with chemical agents and to give dimensional stabilization and durability. EDTA and PEG are the most commonly used in the preservation of wood. pH control-precipitation method is used for recovery of EDTA from waste fluid of archeological waterlogged wood conservation treatment. The black substance is eliminated from wood as Fe-EDTA complex are formed and EDTA is separated and precipitated from Fe-EDTA complexes at pH 2.68 or less. The result of analysis of the precipitated products and the commercial EDTA by FT-IR and FE-SEM showed that precipitated product by pH adjusted was not a type of Fe-EDTA complex, but pure EDTA. Waste fluid produced in PEG treatment shows the black color and has an offensive odor by organic matter extracted from wood. Color of waste fluid is decolored with oxidation reaction by peroxy hydrate. In FT-IR and SEM-EDX of PEG after freeze-drying process, no significant change of functional groups induced from oxidation is observed, and any metal ion does not exist in the solid PEG specimen. The molecular weight of PEG is measured using GPC and viscometry. Properties of PEG before and after preservation treatment, and after oxidation with $H_2O_2$ were not changed. Consequently, the peroxidation with $H_2O_2$ is a reasonable and simple method to decolor the used PEG solution.

An Analysis of the Probability Unit in the Middle School Textbook 8-B in the Aspect of Information Analysis and Utilization (정보 분석 및 활용 측면에서의 중학교 2학년 확률 단원 분석)

  • This thesis assumes that the teaching objective of the Probability unit of the 8th grade textbook under the 7th National Curriculum is to enhance the ability to analyze and utilize informations. And we examine them if this point of view is fully reflected. Based on the analysis of the textbook analysis, followings are found. 1) It is necessary to emphasize more enumerating all possible cases and to induce formulae counting the number of possible cases through organizing them 2) The probability is to be decribed more clearly as a likelihood of events and to be introduced and followed through various students' experiences and the relative frequencies. Less emphasis on probability computations, while more emphasis on probability comparisons of events are recommended. 3) The term "influential events"(a kind of stochastic correlation) is ambiguous. It is necessary to make clear what it means at tile level of the 8th grade or to discard it for it is to be learned at the 10th grade again. Especially, contingency table has been introduced at the 9th grade under the 7th National Curriculum. 4) Uses of the likelihood principle in making a decision and in learning the reliability of it should be encouraged. And students are to team the hazard of transitive inferences in probability comparisons. As a consequence of above, we feel that textbook authors and related stakeholder are to be more serious about the behavioral changes of students that may come along with the didactics of specific contents of school mathematics.

Image Conversion in Digital Design (디지털디자인에서 이미지의 變換)

  • An expression of image in visual communication design traditionally has a dose relationship with the mechanical part of several expression media. Especially, an image conversion becomes easter by converging various forms of image such as a pictorial expression, a drawing up a plan, an optical expression and a reflected image into digital data in the image expression using digital mode. In addition, synthesis between various forms of visual ,images is activated by the integration of all expression media into digital mode and thus the extent of the image expression becomes diversified. Moreover, there is a tendency that a various dimensional expression such as 3D and 4D is generalized in the image expression of digital design. A partial or whole image conversion has often occurred during the generalization process of several image forms. Such conversion summarized into two factors, a formative side and a technical side. We described the existing pictorial expression as a formative side, an optical expression as a photography, a materialization of image conversion theory of computer graphic image conversion according to data form as a technical side and specific content according to dimension. We summarized objective and demonstrative resets through a simple simulation using a computer for the contents required a technical and qualitative measure and presented an application program of the particular results from the study to the visual communication design work by a case.
