지난 한 세기 동안 우리나라 지표면 습도의 변화 (Variation of surface humidity across South Korea over the last century)

  • 대기의 습한 정도는 기상 현상과 밀접한 관계를 가진다. 공기가 건조하면 가뭄이나 산불이, 반대로 습윤하면 홍수나 극한 강우가 내리기 쉽다. 산업화 이후 지구의 평균 기온이 상승하면서, 세계적으로 상대습도가 감소하는 경향성이 보고되고 있다. 이러한 경향이 우리나라에서도 확인되는지 파악하고자, 이 연구에서는 장기간에 걸친 상대습도 관측치가 존재하는 종관기상관측소 6개소의 자료를 분석하였다. 기온은 시간에 따라 증가하고, 포화 수증기압도 그에 따라 증가해온 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 상대습도의 증감은 포화 수증기압뿐만 아니라 실제 수증기압의 변화에도 민감하게 반응한다. 우리는 실제 수증기압 변화의 원인을 수증기압에 영향을 주는 다양한 기후 변수들의 시계열 자료를 통해 분석해보았다. 우리나라 지역별로 상당한 변동성이 나타났는데, 대표적으로 동해안과 서해안 사이의 차이, 내륙과 해안의 차이에 대해 자세히 발표할 것이다.

현대건축에서의 단일체적 조형 성향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Monolithic Characteristics of Contemporary Architecture)

  • 본 연구는 다원화된 현대건축에서 나타나는 현상의 하나인 단일체적(monolithic) 표현 성향의 특성에 관한 것이다. 다양한 건축적 표현 중에서 단일체 건축은 형태적 산만함이나 분열, 이론에 치중한 형태적 복합성의 난해함을 대치하려는 의도로 해석되고, 현시대의 불안정성, 불확정성, 유동성 등이 강조되는 아방가르드적인 건축이론이나 작품경향에 반해 건축의 위상과 자율성 확립을 통한 반발이기도 하다. 이런 단일체 건축은 단순하고 경제적인 구조를 빈틈없는 외피로 감싼 형태적 엄격함을 보여주면서 인식이 용이한 이미지를 구축함으로써 독자적 아이덴티티를 갖춘 형태의 자립형 건축이라 할 수 있다. 외관의 추상적 형태를 이용해 형태묘사적인 아이덴티티를 구축하거나, 크기나 스케일을 과장함으로써 존재감을 강화시키기도 하며, 색, 재료, 마감, 단면형태 등을 이용하여 내부공간과 외부공간을 중재하는 표피를 전략적으로 탐색하기도 한다. 이런 단일체 건축은 오늘날의 다중적이고 불확정적인 상황에서 건축적 아이덴티터를 확립하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 받아들이는 것이 합당할 것이다.

미스 반 데어 로에 건축공간의 잠복성 (Latency in the Architectural Space of Mies van der Rohe)

  • This study based on the hypothesis which the spatial qualities in the Mies's early works are not extinct but potentially immanent in his latter works. In Mies's early works, destruction of outline, centrifugal extension of fluid space, and asymmetry are distinctly showed. These qualities probably revert to the indefiniteness of space. In Mies's latter works, however, these dynamic qualities are disappeared. Geometrically precise outline and exact grid structure represent universal space derived from zero-degree pure box. These qualities probably revert to tile definiteness of space, characterized by the unmovable emptiness. Although Mies works vary in external form, his expression technique of space reveals continually both the qualify of definitive and indefinitive space. For example, in the Museum for a Small City(1942) unbuilt project. elements defined by the perspective are fixed and static, but elements defined by the collages are floated and dynamic. The former reigns over the realized buildings of Mies, while the latter seems to be latent in terms of Schein which transcends reality. If we can penetrate this point, it's possible to read the other side of Mies' architectural works, distinct from both the canonized interpretation and the excessive criticism. Point is that later works of Mies must be understood as interplay of universal space appeared as phenomenon and flowing elements latent in. Architectural space of Mies keeps a distance with actual space through latent manner of being while preserves the empirical actuality It provides us with an occasion which appears only in an instant, in which even the ordinary things reveal its poetics.

  • The 1990s' characteristics of Ecological architectural design would be choosing the traditional materials of the region's, the creative usage of construction methods, the expressive properties of materiality in spatial forms and so on. The overall organic relationships between human and men-made environments have been sublimated by the expression of poetic qualities of perception in ecological man-made environment. Hannover Expo 2000 did set up an opportunity to exposure the fact that Ecological Architecture will be the major trend in 21st Century's Architecture and its exploration in possible ways will be the most important matter. Japanese Architect Shigeru Ban's Japan Pavilion in this Exposition has shown the meaning of this turning point in Ecological Architectural thinking, which would be recognized as the convincing possibilities for the future architectural practice to the public. Thus this research has the purpose to study the meaning of the constructing action in Shigeru Ban's recent architectural space-making practice with the Paper Tube structural system. The creative foundation of Shigeru Ban's own method to apply paper tube -that is impossible material to pre-estimate- and other materials in the creation of architectural spaces would be searched in this paper. The period to this research will be between 1990s and 2000s, and the subject will be the experimental architecture of Shigeru Ban. The range of this research Is including the process of development in the paper tube architectural structure and joint system. This study would contribute to understand the intrinsic value of Shigeru Ban's Ecological architecture of the paper tube system, in which the relationship between the regional environment and human regaining the ecological abiogenesis.

노자사상(老子思想)과 미스 반 데르 로에(Mies van der Rohe)의 건축사상에 관한 비교연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Lao Tzu's Philosophy on Architectural Ideology of Mies van der Rohe)

  • Quantum theory of Niels Bohr received the Nobel Prize in Physics was rooted to the Oriental thought 'Yin-Yang and the Five Elements 陰陽五行', and architect Frank Lloyd Wright is also known as Lao Tzu's thoughts on the best architectural theory. Thus, the western architecture and oriental thought is very similar to the concept development. On the basis of this fact, the architectural philosophy of Mies van der Rohe is closely contact with Lao Tzu's Taoism, that is 'The greatest has no boundary 大象無形, Tao Te Ching chap.41' or 'The way to be is not to be 有道者 不處, Tao Te Ching chap.24'. Hence the aim of this thesis is to investigate the interrelation between the German architect Mies van der Rohe's 'almost nothing' and the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu's 'Taoism'.

자연광 다층 작물재배를 위한 광선반 시스템에 관한 연구 (Exploration of a Light Shelf System for Multi-Layered Vegetable Cultivation)

  • This study is to eliminate the need for conventional high density plant factory's artificial light source such as LED to reduce the initial investment of the light source installation as well as the operation cost. Use of solar light could enhance the quality of the vegetables similar to those grown in the natural environment. Provision of solar light into the multilayer vegetable cultivation facilities and collecting maximum and sustainable sunlight without too much loss by tracing solar path and properly distributing it through careful control during daytime are crucial for realizing the investigated rooftop light shelf system for multi-layered vegetable cultivation. In this study, we developed an innovative way of effectively allocating sunlight inside even to otherwise shaded zone of a multi-layer vegetable cultivation facility. To prove the effectiveness of the system's sunlight collection and distribution capability, both simulation and experiment in Daejeon are performed and the outcome is analyzed.

주거공간을 위한 IT결합 광선반시스템 개발 연구 -조명에너지 저감을 중심으로- (A Study on Light-shelf system based on IT in Housing Space -Focus on Lighting Energy Saving-)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the light-shelf system combined with IT to save lighting energy in resident space. According to the multiple variables that affected intensity of illumination, various experiments were designed and conducted. The main findings of this study were following: (1)the optimal level of light-shelf system was formulated which met the appropriate range of intensity of illumination in living-room; (2)although the mixed light-shelf system indicated a high performance, it could often provide discomforts to residents according to the degree of exposure; (3)artificial lights using light-shelf system combined with IT showed a higher effectiveness than those using fixed light-shelf system displayed. This study provided initial information of light-shelf system formative processes that could contribute to the lighting energy diminution. Future studies should focus more on multiple approaches regarding different types of resident space planning.

PV 일체형 태양광발전 광선반시스템의 성능평가 (The Performance Evaluation of Photovoltaic-integrated Lightshelf Systems)

  • The lightshelf system, a daylighting device, has been applied to improve the visual environment by optimal light distributions and intense illumination levels of a interior. Also, The photovoltaic is one of the most important sustainable technologies appliable to architectures. This study aims to evaluate the performance of photovoltaic integrated lightshelf system. For the study, the 1/5 scaled office models were made and the field tests were experimented under clear sky conditions. The power ratio has been analyzed to evaluate the performance of photovoltaic integrated lightshelf system. As results, the power performance was high on photovoltaic lightshelf installation angle $0^{\circ}$. And the performance was reduced on 23(%) by installation angle $15^{\circ}$ and 63(%) by installation angle $30^{\circ}$.

창호일체형 광선반 시스템 채광성능 평가 (Daylighting Performance Evaluation of window Integrated Light Shelf System)

  • The lightshelf system, a horizontal shading and light redirect device, should improve the visual environment by optimal light distributions and intense illumination levels of a interior. This study aims to evaluate the daylighting performance of window integrated lightshelf systems by computer simulations. For the study, the standard office plan is analyzed through the field surveys. And then, the various lightshelf types attached window systems are picked out from existed research results. The max, minimum and average illuminance levels of interiors and illuminance distributions are evaluated by Lightsacpe 3.2 programs based on the installing height, shape type and moving angle of lightshelfs. As results, it is suggested that the optimum lightshelf shapes are the height 1.8m and the width 600mm. Also, in mixed lightshelf, the outside width 600mm, inside width 400 are efficient on indoor daylighting performance.

현대건축에서 구조와 표피 일체화 유형의 건축적 표현특성 - 2000년 이후 건축 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on Architectural Expressive Characteristic of 'Structure & Skin Integration' Type in Contemporary Architecture - Focused on the Architecture cases after 2000 -)

  • This study tries to categorize trends of "structure and skin integration" and understand the expressive characters of each architectural type. To do so, we listed up 8 architects who are quoted twice or more in related researches, then analyzed their 25 contemporary buildings which integrated structure and skin since 2000. As a result, this study defined four types based on the way of building tectonic system of structure and skin. Key feature of "linear structure-two dimensional skin" type is the communication with the surroundings as a result of .geometric architectural forms, patterned surface and reflection. Characters of "linear-three dimensional" type are organic architectural forms, sculptural skin, and the mysterious space. "Planar-two dimensional" type is a transformational geometry form to express the dramatic images through the skin, therefore gives a sense of rhythm and dynamics to space. "Planar structure-three dimensional" type highlights the texture, and exposes boundary of the inside and outside. In architectures we studied, the structure is the way to make a creative forms and space, and the skin to express various meanings. That said, the "structure and skin integration" is the means of aggressive design expression.
