  • 자외선을 막아주고 피부에 안정한 자외선 차단성을 갖는 고분자 미립자를 키틴 및 키토산 미립자에 p-amino benzoic acid(PABA), parsol MCX, parsol 1789를 공유결합시키거나 캡슐화시켜 제조하였다. 자외선 차단성을 갖는 고분자 미립자의 자외선 차단성은 우수하였다. 그리고 피부에 대한 안정성과 독성을 in vivo로 평가한 결과 기존의 화학 자외선 흡수제 보다 안정하였다.

Study for Mechanical Properties of Electroless (Ni/Au) Plated Monodisperse Polymer Particles (무전해 (니켈/금) 도금 처리된 단분산 가교고분자 미립자의 기계적 물성 연구)

  • Monodisperse polymer particles were prepared via one- step seeded polymerization using PMMA as seed particles, and HDDA, triEGDMA or EGDMA as crosslinking monomer. For the study, the effects of 1) the ratio of the absorbed monomer to the seed polymer particles (swelling ratio), 2) the characteristics of crosslinking monomer, 3) electroless Ni plating, and 4) electroless Au Plating on the variation of mechanical properties of polymer particles, such as recovery rate, K-values, breaking strength and breaking displacement were investigated by using MCT (micro compression test). It was observed that swelling ratio of polymer particles influenced only on breaking strength of polymer Particles, while electroless plating did on recovery rate, K-values ($K_{10}\;and\;K_{20}$) and breaking strength of electroless plated polymer particles. However, breaking displacement and K-values ($K_{30}{\sim}K_{50}$) were more or less insensitive to electroless plating.

  • Recently, many researches for fine particles plasma have been focused on the fabrication of the new devices and materials in micro-electronic industry, although reduction or elimination of fine particles was interested in plasma processing until now on. In order to enhance their utilization, it is necessary to control and analyze fine particle behavior. Therefore, we developed simulation model of fine particles in RF Ar plasmas. This model consists of the calculation parts of plasma structure using a two-dimensional fluid model and of fine particle behavior. The motion of fine particles was derived from the charge amount on the fine particles and forces applied to them. In this paper, Ar plasma properties using two-dimensional fluid model without fine particles were calculated at power source voltage 15[V] and pressure 0.5[Torr]. Time-averaged spatial distributions of Ar plasma were shown. The process on the formation of Coulomb crystal of fine particles was investigated and it was explained by combination of ion drag and electrostatic forces. And also analysis on the forces of fine particles was presented.

Preparation of Nanoparticles by Gas Phase Processes (기상 공정에 의한 나노 미립자 제조)

  • The nanoparticles have several interesting properties which cannot be shown in their bulk materials because of their high ratio of surface area to volume. They can be used to manufacture the nanostructured materials, the industrial materials, or the catalyst materials etc.. We can prepare nanoparticles of various sizes with high degree of monodispersity by gas phase processes and those particles can be used as raw materials for various advanced functional materials. In this paper, we introduced the aerosol reactors to synthesize nanoparticles by gas phase processes and also analyzed several features of those aerosol reactors and tried to introduce the recent interesting studies on nanoparticle synthesis by gas phase processes.

Experiment on Settling Behaviour of Fine Mineral Particles (광물성 미립자의 침전거동에 관한 실험)

  • Experiments on settling behaviour of fine-grained particles without destroying the large fragile aggregates were carried out in still water with a CCD (Charged Coupled Device)-Camera. The experiments dealt with the measuring of the vertical concentration profile of cohesive particles with a CCD-Camera and the physico-chemical influences (NaCl, density, temperature and pH value) on the vertical distribution of the concentration. The vertical concentration profile of fine suspended particles (alumina and quartz) was possible up to $20,000\;mg/{\ell}$ with a CCD-Camera. The vertical concentration profile of cohesive sediments was on the decrease because of the increasing initial concentration, temperature and salinity. The vertical concentration profile of alumina was on the decrease quicker than quartz with increasing salinity. Furthermore, the pH value affects the settling behaviour of alumina. At a PH value of 4.2 the settling rate of the particles was very low and on the increase until pH 8.9 because of the aggregation behaviour of particles. From the PH value of 9 the average settling velocity was on the decrease.

Synthesis and Optical Property of Au/Cu, Au/Ag Alloy Nanocluster (Au/Cu, Au/Ag 합금 나노 미립자의 합성과 광학적 성질)

  • In this study, a new method is presented to produce stable hydrophobic metal alloy nanocluster in chloroform solution including surfactant NaAOT(sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)-sulfosuccinate) via the chemical reduction of metal salt $(HAuCl_4,\AgNO_3,\Cu(NO_3)_2)$ by sodium borohydride. For the alloy nanocluster, several samples were prepared by changing the molar ratio of Au/Cu, Au/Ag alloy nanocluster, 3:1, 1:1, 1:3. The alloy nanoclusters were characterized by UV-Visible spectrophotometer, TEM(Transmission Electron Microscope), and XPS(X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer). With the change of the mole ratio of the alloy component, the wavelengths of the surface plasmon absorption shift linearly from 520 nm of the pure Au nanocluster to 570 nm of the pure Cu nanocluster for Au/Cu alloy nanoclusters and from 405 nm to 520 nm for Au/Ag alloy nanoclusters. The chemical shifts of the Au4f, Ag3d, Cu2p XPS peaks were observed with changing the molar ratio of the alloy element. The alloy nanoclusters in chloroform solution were made uniformly in size and colloidally stable for long periods of time. These results indicate that the method here is a very effective method for synthesizing hydrophobic alloy nanoclusters with uniform or nearly uniform particle size distribution.

Synthesis of Spherical Fine $PbTiO_3$ Particles by the Spray Pyrolysis Method Using Ultrasonic Vibrator (초음파 분무 열분해법에 의한 구형의 $PbTiO_3$ 미립자 제조)

  • Fine $PbTiO_3$ Particles were synthesized from the $Pb(NO_3)_2$and $TiO(NO_3)_2$ solution by the spray pyrolysis method using the ultrasonic vibrator as a mist generator. The obtained particles were characterized. The mechanisms of particle formation were discussed in comparison with those if other particles, such as $BaTiO_3$, $ZnO_2$, ZnO ....., in the same spray pyrolysis process.

It was observed that monomer swelling ratio influenced only breaking strength, but EGDMA ratio in monomer mixture, dosage of initiator and electroless Ni plating affected both K-values and breaking strength.
