Secure Storage and Management of Vaccination Records Allowing Restrictive Access upon Users' Consent (사용자 동의로 제한적 접근을 허용하는 백신 접종 기록의 안전한 보관 및 관리)

  • As the COVID-19 vaccination begins, it is necessary to safely store and manage the vaccination history for vaccinated people, as well as provide only the minimal information for the requested purpose, not in the form of all or nothing, to the institution requesting vaccination personal information. This paper proposes a scheme to safely store and manage the people's vaccination records in a non-forgeable blockchain, and to ensure that users provide only the minimal information necessary to the verifier from their vaccination personal information. A user authorizes the verifier to access the information he has consented with by entering the fingerprint on his smartphone, and in this process, no personal information or secrets can be exposed to an attacker. In addition, it is guaranteed that it is neither possible to impersonate the user nor to steal user personal information even in the case of theft or loss of the smartphone, or leakage of information from the vaccination history management institution. Using the scheme, users have no fear on external exposure of personal information and follow-up damage due to excessive information provision by giving out only the minimal information suited to the verifier.

A study on additional information and its transmission method of data service linked to travel program (여행 프로그램 연동형 데이터서비스의 부가정보와 정보 전송 설계 연구)

  • According to a survey by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2018 and 2019, traveling to places recorded in TV programs or influential videos has become an important travel trend and several studies show that watching a travel program improves the intention to visit the places featured on the program. This study designed a travel program-linked data service that provides additional information on the places and events to the viewers of the travel program. Specifically, the additional information of the travel program was defined in a formal manner by dividing it into places and events, and a method of exposure of the additional information conformed to the contents of the program was designed. We also devised an international standard DVB-based data transmission method that provides the additional information to data services appropriately in time for program broadcasting. This study is significant in that it tested new applications of data services for travel programs.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the big data industry is gathering attention for new business models in the public and private sectors by utilizing various information collected through the internet and mobile. However, although the big data integration and analysis are performed with de-identification techniques, there is still a risk that personal privacy can be exposed. Recently, there are many studies to invent effective methods to maintain the value of data without disclosing personal information. In this paper, a personal information protection system is investigated to boost big data utilization in industrial sectors, such as healthcare and agriculture. The criteria for evaluating the de-identification adequacy of personal information and the protection scope of personal information should be differently applied for each industry. In the field of personal sensitive information-oriented healthcare sector, the minimum value of k-anonymity should be set to 5 or more, which is the average value of other industrial sectors. In agricultural sector, it suggests the inclusion of companion dogs or farmland information as sensitive information. Also, it is desirable to apply the demonstration steps to each region-specific industry.

Eligibility Verification based on Immutable Personal Information without Revealing the Owner's Identity (불변 개인정보에 기반하여 소유자 신원 드러나지 않도록 적격성 검증)

  • When an individual needs to prove eligibility, it is sufficient to know whether or not s/he meets the eligibility, but any existing method inevitably exposes the identity of the owner or unnecessary additional information in the process of providing personal information. In this paper, among the immutable items of personal information such as gender, date of birth, and place of birth, we propose a method in which the owner provides only essential item(s) to the eligibility verifier with each iterm marked on one option among multiple choices. In this way, the eligibility verifier can access the combination of items stored in the blockchain with the consent of the information owner, and can safely store the access history by requesting recording in the blockchain again. In the proposed method, the user does not worry about his/her identity being revealed or his/her personal information being overly exposed, and the eligibility verifier can check only necessary items and search later records without separately storing the records.

  • This study aims to empirically investigate how personalized and socialized mobile media impacts on users' acceptance of mobile advertising, given the consideration of users' mobile possession attachment. For this, the current study used focus group interview and surveyed mobile users. Interestingly, the findings reveal that personalized and socialized mobile characteristicssignificantly affect users' acceptance of mobile ads. That is to say, users' personalized mobile characteristics play an important role in either awareness of mobile ads or exposure to mobile ads.

  • This paper deals with the experiments of optokinetic differentiation within eye tracking test through the menu direction and cognitive degree of service menu title for watching digital media service. Researcher establish a research topic which verification of differentiations of eye tracking velocity when media user perceive the service menu title within vertical structure or horizontal structure. Experimentation was designed with two types of menu structure-vertical or horizontal-and these have each 9 cases of eye tracking tasks for experimentee. Researcher arrives at a conclusion through as stated above experiment that cases of vertical menu structure is more effective method with linear channel service menu, otherwise that cases of horizontal menu structure is more effective method with non linear channel service menu, like a video on demand service. The research results will be very helpful with actual media industry players when they planning the evolutionary direction of their menu layout.

  • Recently, as the importance of user-oriented archives management is becoming increasingly, government archives try to serve interactive services using social network service (SNS) beyond one-way approaches. This study aims to analyze usage of government archives service in social media and examine users' interestedness. We especially select "National Archives of Korea" and "Presidential Archives" as target government archives and collect tweets from 2010 to 15th April 2016. Our study adopts informetric approaches and social media analysis including buzz analysis, time series analysis. We differentiate between the tweet collection posted by government archives themselves and the other collection generated by general users. Furthermore we conduct correlation analysis of tweet and social issues and propose application plan for government archives services in social media environment.

  • This study deals with the influencing factors on flow and addiction perceived by users of Tiktok service, an SFV service platform that is expanding the market in the middle area between social media and OTT. As the number of Tiktok users increases, researchers thought that research on the cause of addiction would be necessary. Since media users lack media consumption time, they produce and share SFVs rather than long videos, and are affected by exogenous variables. In addition, attachment is divided into interpersonal relationships and attachment to services, and the path of attachment was confirmed to be connected to flow and addiction. Through this study, the researchers considered that there were theoretical and practical contributions in that the path leading to addiction of video media services was set and verified as self-exposure and attachment, flow and addiction. These research results can be applied to more diversified video-centered media services, and can be expected to be used for new media emerging in the future.

  • 광고 시장 / 채널은 새로운 매체로 전환이 급격히 빠른 분야이다. 과거 TV, 신문 등과 같은 전통적인 매스미디어에서, 현재는 인터넷 및 모바일 광고와 디지털 사이니지를 통한 옥외광고가 주를 이루고 있다. 이에 따라 지속적인 마케팅 패러다임의 변화, 광고시장 / 로봇(서비스형, 지능형) 시장의 성장세를 기반으로 디지털 사이니지와 이동로봇을 결합하여 광고효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있는 커뮤니케이션 마케팅 기반의 신개념 광고기기(Mobile Digital Signage Robot 이하 MDSR)를 제안한다. MDSR의 기본 목표는 로봇이 설정된 루트를 자동으로 이동하며 주변상황을 인지하여 상황에 맞는 광고를 노출시키는 데에 있다. 또한 사용자의 관심을 유도하는 인터랙티브 기능과, 커뮤니케이션 콘텐츠를 탑재하여 주위 사람들의 이목을 집중시키며, 광고노출빈도가 높아지고 흥미유발에 기여하여 광고효과를 극대화 시키고, 이용자 편의성을 제고시킨다. 본고에서는 마케팅 / 디지털 사이니지 / 로봇시장의 실태와 현황을 알아보고, MDSR개발을 위한 HW 필요 탑재부품의 성능정보 수집 및 평가, 로봇 이동제어 및 상황인지와 광고전환을 위한 핵심 SW 알고리즘 개발, 마케팅 전략 및 활용 시나리오, 기대효과 분석 등을 연구해 MDSR 제작 및 활용 방법 등을 살펴본다.

An Implementation of Authentication and Encryption of Multimedia Conference using H.235 Protocol (H.235 프로토콜에 의한 영상회의의 인증과 암호화 구현)

  • This paper describes the implementation of H.235 protocol for authentication and media stream encryption of multimedia conference systems. H.235 protocol is recommended by ITU-T for H.323 multimedia conference security protocol to prevent from being eavesdropped and modified by an illegal attacker. The implementation in this paper has used password-based with symmetric encryption authentication. Media streams are encrypted using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange algorithm and symmetric encryption algorithms such as RC2, DES and Triple-DES. Also, 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard and 128-bit Korean standard SEED algorithms are implemented for the future extension. The implemented authentication and media stream encryption has shown that it is possible to identify terminal users without exposing personal information on networks and to preserve security of multimedia conference. Also, encryption delay time and used memory are not increased even though supporting media stream encryption/decryption, thus the performance of multimedia conference system has not deteriorated.
