  • Recently, with the US protection trade trend, South Korea 's exports to the US have shrunk and the need to pioneer emerging markets in Eurasia has increased. Due to the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping, a large Korean national shipping company, the necessity of securing transportation that can replace the Asian - European shipping route has emerged. Moreover, as the international trade and logistics environment is rapidly changing due to the spread of electronic commerce, it is time to prepare for the environment where IT technology is applied to international logistics activities. Therefore, this study was carried out to establish information strategy of Eurasia logistics information sharing platform from Korean perspective through comparison of logistics information level of Eurasian countries. This study aims at standardization direction for supporting logistics activities between Eurasian countries, providing customs clearance and logistics services without interruption, providing information for expanding business of trade companies, and building information linkage infrastructure for expanding cooperation between logistics companies across countries. Through this study, it is expected that logistics activities through information sharing among countries will be actively carried out.

  • Despite the growing importance of corporate venture capital (CVC) in the venture capital market, little scholarly attention has been devoted to cross-border CVC investment. Venture firms perceive higher risks of technology leakage in cross-border CVC investment than they do in domestic CVC investment due to geographical and cultural disparity. Given that venture firms would not receive CVC investment in the presence of the partner uncertainty, we argue that the likelihood of cross-border CVC investment increases with the strength of intellectual property protection (IPP) regime, the investment timing (i.e. funding round number), and the industry unrelatedness with the corporate investor. Additionally, we investigate how the venture firm's complementary resource need interact with the partner uncertainty in decisions for cross-border CVC investment. By examining 2,873 CVC investment transactions in the period 1994-2009, we found supporting evidence for the strength of IPP regime and the industry unrelatedness in mitigating the partner uncertainty of foreign corporate investors. However, the effectiveness of these factors is moderated by the type of resources that the venture firms need from the foreign corporate investors.

  • Objectives : The Oriental medical device industry is expected to continue to experience significant growth. It should increase its global market share rather than focusing on the domestic market. Countries around the world self-regulate their domestic market, so this study aims to aid in the development of a particular overseas market by introducing the U.S.(the largest market) medical device registration and approval process. Methods : For an understanding of the US medical device licensing process, we researched the relevant regulatory organization (FDA), the history, definition and classification of medical devices, the approval and 510(k) submission process related to substantial equivalence, IEC 60601-1 Edition 3, usability tests, and so on. Results : Medical devices in the United States are assigned to one of three regulatory classes: Class I, Class II and Class III, based on the level of control necessary to assure the safety and effectiveness of the device. If a company's device is classified as Class II and if it is not exempt, a 510k will be required for marketing. 1) A 510(k) is a premarket submission made to the FDA to demonstrate that the new device to be marketed is "substantially equivalent" to a legally marketed device (predicate device) 2) The IEC 60601-1 Edition 3 preparation process, which contains information related to usability, is expensive and time-consuming but a critical requirement. Conclusions : Although the U.S. market has high barriers to entry, access to this, large overseas market will encourage development of the Oriental medical device industry and commercial value enhancement is expected.

  • The rapid demand for electric vehicles and energy storage systems has increased interest in energy storage devices worldwide. New technological alternatives are needed to reliably supply energy storage mineral resources such as lithium and vanadium, which are key materials for energy storage devices. Already, research and development activities are taking place in various countries on technologies that can directly secure lithium and vanadium. Accordingly, it is very important to analyze each country's technological trends through patent and paper analysis to establish effective research and development strategies and to set future technological development directions. This study analyzed trends in the development of new technologies and the current status of research and development at home and abroad through patent data from Korea, the United States, Europe, and Japan that were disclosed or registered from 1970 to October 2019, and the data searched for papers from January 2000 to October 2019. According to the analysis, the current growth stage of the technology related to energy storage minerals is in the beginning stage. Therefore, it is believed that a strategy to rapidly upgrade technology by combining the development of new technologies and demonstration of developed technologies is needed in order to lead the technology market and strengthen the competitiveness of technologies.

  • Korea-Africa relations date back to the period of independence of African countries. During this time, the ties between Korea and Africa has passed through stagnation, inconsistencies and weak diplomatic exchanges. Recently, Korea began to refocus its efforts towards Africa in order to revitalize their relations. This paper examines Korea's public diplomacy strategies towards Africa and how its various strategies are working in the interest of Korea as well as Africa. The study shows that Korea's renewed interest in Africa is primarily driven by the security threat from North Korea and the need to diversify its market for industrial goods as well as energy sources. The latter motives override Korea's interest in the continent. These motives are not at variance with those pursued by large powers like the US and China in Africa. Furthermore, the paper shows that Korea is employing a mixture of public diplomacy instruments in Africa with varied outcomes. Economic linkages between Korea and Africa are on an upward trajectory since the late 2000s. In order to build sustainable relations, the paper provides a number suggestions with far-reaching implications on Korea's public diplomacy towards Africa in the future.

  • In the future, the global container handling market will be reorganized into larger ships and shipping alliances, and the bargaining power of shipping companies will be further strengthened. Therefore, the global terminal operator (GTO), which has a global network, vast experience, and operational know-how, is expected to strengthen its competitiveness. In Korea, the central government promoted the development of GTOs in the mid-2000s, but it failed, mainly due to disagreements between port stakeholders. In this study, the macroeconomic indicators that have the same effect in all regions were used to analyze GTO management performance. In the short term, it could be used to establish the business strategy of domestic terminal operators based on changes in macroeconomic indicators. In the long term, it would be used to establish a promotion strategy for GTOs in Korea. The results of analyzing the impact of macroeconomic indicators on the GTO's profit show that the GTO's profit is significantly affected by cargo handling capacity, the consumer price index of the United States, the Shanghai Composite Index, the Crude Oil Price, and the London Inter-bank Offered Rate (LIBOR). However, the scale of impact was not significantly different between public and private GTOs.

본 연구의 결과를 토대로우리나라 젊고 건강한 남성에게 적합한 무게상수는 작업자군에 대하여 25.05kg, 학생군에 대하여 20.24kg 으로 나타나 이는 미국 NIOSH 안전기준과 대체로 일치함을 발견하였다.ive structures utilized in Client/server architecture for distribution and cooperative processing of application between server and client this study presents two different data management methods under the Client/server environment; one is "Remote Data Management Method" which uses file server or database server and. the other is "Distributed Data Management Method" using distributed database management system.
