A study on the attribute of infotainment design (인포테인먼트 디자인의 개념 연구)

  • It is very important issue in information design to improve information efficiency by adapting interesting factors in changing circumstance of information communication. The concept of infotainment is utilized in designing information contents in a way of combining entertainment factors with information itself based on various media and representation technologies. The information arousing user's attention, which includes interesting factors, is persuasive message comppared to the informative message conveying only information itself. The reason why infotainment is persuasive is because it makes the user absorb deeply in the information during the process of understanding by sensorial stimuli, cognitive interest, and situational interest. The sensorial stimuli originates from the expression elements of information design. The cognitive interest from the user's intellectual activities has a try to overcome mental block when user confronts with the redundant expression in the manner of unexpectedness and inharmony. The situational interest originates from user's optimum experience by the flow of satisfaction. Therefore, the attribute of infotainment is defined with the stimuli, the redundancy, and user's satisfaction. Its design elements consist of physical factors, organizational factors, and psychological factors. The physical factors through sensorial stimuli are utilized by visual manipulation such as visual analogy or visual pun, multimedia, and moving expression. The organizational factors through redundant expression bring user's imagination by adapting storytelling, event, and interaction in the process of understanding information. The psychological factors through expression of entertainment interests such as humor, play, and game give users psychological satisfaction with the flow. In conclusion the concept of infotainment can be adapted when the design factors should be integrated with its attributes, or the conveying information should go well with its purpose and characteristics.

  • 용접공정 해석을 위한 접근방법중에서 우선적으로 결정해야할 사항으로는 비선형적인 요소와 복잡한 물리현상들을 실제적으로 해석하기위한 측정변수의 선정과 이러한 변수를 사용하여 물리적인 현상을 적절히 표현할 수 있는 알고리즘의 개발 등 을 들 수 있다. 최근까지의 연구결과를 바탕으로 해서 측정변수들의 예를 들면 용접 전류(welding current), 아크전압(arc voltage), 음향신호(acoustic signal), 아크 광(arc light) 그리고 온도(temperature)등이 있다. 용접공정을 분석하기 위한 알고 리즘으로는 확률론적 접근(statistical approach), 다양한 실험치를 이용한 인공지능 적 접근(artificial intelligence approach) 그리고 경험치를 바탕으로 인덱스(index) 을 선정하여 이를 직접 사용하는 방법 및 인공지능과 결합된 형태를 이용하는 방법등 이 있다. 또한 용접공정의 특성을 분석하기 위해서는 크게 금속이행모드(metal transfer mode), 아크의 안정성(arc stability) 그리고 용접품질(weld quality) 등을 판별할 수 있는 알고리즘의 개발이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 용접공정 분석과 관련된 최근까지의 연구동향 및 용접신호의 특성을 좀더 심도있게 분석하기 위해 구축해야 할 필수 요건 등을 소개하고자 하며 이를 사용자가 손쉽게 이용할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스 프로그램을 개괄적으로 설명하고자 한다.

Two Dimensional Visualization Simulation of Physical Law using Virtual Anomaly (가상 이상 개념을 이용한 물리법칙의 2D 시각화 시뮬레이션)

  • In comparison with the acquirement of knowledge by expression of symbol or numerical formula, the experience based knowledge acquirement give stable and clear understanding of information to a learner. Various educational systems based on computer such as virtual reality, intelligent learning system, visualization of concept, simulation-based system, and microworld have so far been developed. In this paper, a method of two dimensional visualization of a physical law by simulation has been suggested to educate a learner. Especially, learning the law of gravity by simulation based educational method gives a learner indirect experience that enhance the efficiency of knowledge acquirement clearly. The visualization methods of a real-time physical law and a virtual anomalies' physical law by simulation are proposed in this paper to deliver information or knowledge clearly. Then we show that a learner can acquire some knowledge effectively by the proposed method.

Abstraction of players action in tennis games over various platform (플랫폼에 따른 테니스 게임 플레이어 액션의 추상화 연구)

  • This study conducted a case study using various platforms centered on a tennis game to examine what forms the movements of a game player had when they were abstracted in the game. In particular, it summarized the forms of the player's experience that could be attained from the abstracted tennis actions into the 4 types: movement, swing, direction & intensity, and skill; and observed and schematized them in the early video games, console games, mobile games, Gesture recognition games, and wearable games. In conclusion, the development of technology offers the players with greater experience. For example the change of the platform of simple games of pressing buttons into swinging. Furthermore, the study found a consistency in the context even though the difference of action was slightly found by the interface.

  • 연삭숫돌 선택은 공작물제거량, 숫돌의 소모량, 표면정도 및 공작물의 물리적,화학적 특성을 고려하여 설정하는 것을 기본으로 한다. 연삭가공은 구성인자의 상호관계가 복잡하여 이중에서 어느한 요소만을 고려하여 설정하기 어렵고 정량적 기준 또한 정해져있지 않아 현실적으로는 숙련자의 정성적이고 경험적 지식에 따른 주관적 척도에 의존하는 것이 대부분이다. 또한, 연삭숫돌은 작업조건중에서 대량생산을 제외하고는 되도록이면 현장에 구비되어 있는 작업가능한 연삭숫돌 중에서 선택하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서 본시스템에서는 이와같은 점을 고려하여 최적 연삭숫돌선택을 퍼지이론에 기초한 현장 숙련자의 지식을 활용하므로써 연삭숫돌선택의 효율성을 도모하는 동시에 현장에 연삭숫돌이 구비되지 않은 경우도 고려하여 연삭숫돌설정에 우선순위를 제시하므로써 작업자에 연삭숫돌선택의 유연성을 부여하였다. 또한, 실용성있는 전문가시스템의 구축을 위해 정성적이고 경험적인 지식의 활용을 위한 지식표현으로 설문조사에서 얻은 테이타를 x$^{2}$-분포에 따른 추정신뢰구간을 구해, 이를 토대로한 비대칭 삼각퍼지함수의 결정법을 제시하고, 이를 이용해서 구축한 시스템의 실행결과의 타당성을 비교하고자 한다.

The effect of pre-service science teachers' experiences in nuclear physics research on their understanding of scientific inquiry process and career planning (핵물리 연구 참여 경험이 예비 과학교사의 과학 탐구과정의 본성에 대한 인식과 진로탐색에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of pre-service science teachers' experiences in nuclear physics research on their understanding of scientific inquiry process and career planning. The thirty-week URP (Undergraduate Research Participation) program was designed with the participation of six pre-service science teachers. Data sources included in-depth interviews with the individual teachers, group discussions, participant observations with field notes over the weeks, journals and lab logs, etc. Results indicated that the teachers perceived the complex and repetitive nature of the science research process, the importance of scientists' creativity and collaboration, etc. Their typical impressions of scientists has also more or less changed. In addition, the teachers had opportunities to confirm their aptitude in physics and to explore their career options in physics-related fields.

  • 날로 심각해지는 해수 오염, 유류사고, 해파리에 의한 인명피해 및 발전소의 경제적 피해사고, 해양 쓰레기 등과 같은 해양 환경 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 해양환경문제를 해결하기위해 생물학적 방법과 물리적 방법이 있으나 생물학적 방법은 개체군과 종류의 변화로 그 적용이 어려운 실정이고, 물리적 방법은 지속적인 제거를 위한 비용적인 문제와 인부 및 자원봉사자의 안전문제가 발생한다. 따라서 에어버블을 이용한 각종 친환경적 방법이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 에어버블 차단막의 차단율을 증가시키기 위해 현장조건 내에서 에어버블의 거동특성에 대한 실험을 하였다. 실험을 위해 회류식 개수로 에어버블 거동실험장치를 제작하였다. 실험장치는 길이 8.1m, 높이 1.2m, 폭 0.7m이며, 두께 10mm의 투명 아크릴를 사용하여 에어버블의 거동을 관찰 할 수 있게하였다. 대형펌프를 사용하여 물이 회류함을 통해 흐름유속을 만들어 현장조건을 고려하였다. 에어버블을 분사하기 위해 압축공기 저장탱크와 연결된 분사구가 있으며, 노즐의 크기(0.5mm~1.0mm)로 분사량을 조절하고 분사압은 별도의 조절장치를 이용하여 0~5bar 범위의 분사압 조절을 가능하게 하였다. 초고속 카메라와 3축유속계를 사용하여 에어버블의 이동경로, 유속 및 에어버블의 거동을 측정하였다. 실험을 통한 구간별 에어버블의 거동 분석 결과, 상승속도는 분사구에서 분출되는 구간인 0~0.8m 에서는 상승속도가 증가하고, 0.8~1.2m구간에서는 속도가 다시 상승하는 경향을 확인하였다. 이는 수표면에 가까워질수록 수압이 작아져서 에어버블의 크기가 커짐에 따라 부력이 커짐으로 판단된다. 같은 이유로 분사량이 많을수록 상승속도도 같이 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 유속에 따른 거동은 유속을 0.1m/s~0.5m/s로 조정하여 유속별 에어버블이 수표면까지 도달하는 거리, 속도 및 이동경로를 분석하였다. 유속과 에어버블이 수표면까지 도달하는 거리는 비례하여 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 실험결과를 바탕으로 조건에 따른 에어버블 거동 경험식을 도출하였다. 본 실험은 회류식 개수로 에어버블 거동실험장치를 활용하여 에어버블 거동 경험식을 제시하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 에어버블 차단막 기술 개발을 위한 기초자료로 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The main aim of this paper is to show that Gadamer's notion of historical constraint of interpretation is an unsuccessful theoretical postulation. Gadamer tries to present the limits of knowledge and interpretation in terms of his notion of understanding as an event. According to Gadamer, interpretation is bound to be incomplete by nature, and this leads to the thesis of "the uncertainty of interpretation". Although Gadamer seems to make his case successfully against the objective and ahistorical frame of interpretation, his thesis of the uncertainty of interpretation inevitably brings up the fear of nihilistic relativism. To meet this problem, Gadamer offers a constraint of hermeneutic situation, which is derived from the historicity underlying all forms of our existence. Nevertheless, the notion of historicity as the essence of human life does not seem to explain successfully how the actual content of an interpretation is constrained. Drawing on the experientialist notion of 'the embodied understanding", I suggest that the working constraint of interpretations can be appropriately found in the commonality of human experience which is conspicuous at the bodily and physical level of experience. In sum, interpretations, as part of mental and abstract level of experience, arise out of the bodily and physical level of experience, and at the same time strongly constrained by it.

Analysis of Ground Behavior applied to the Design of Underground Opening Structures (지하공동구조물의 설계시 적용되는 지반거동해석)

  • The design of underground cavern is basically governed by the mechanical properties of ground mass distributed around excavation. It is seldom possible to consider all the factors of ground mass properties in the evaluation of ground mass behavior as well as to classify those factors to a simple category. Until computer sciences have developed to calculate complex and laborious mechanical simulation of underground openings, ground behavior was quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated using empirical classification system. In this paper, analysis methods of ground behavior for underground cavern using the prediction of loosening zone, empirical method derived from rock mass classification and element stress analysis are described with chronological sequence.
