The logistics information system has been recently attracting a great deal of attention for its importance in the national economy. It should be noted, however, that the degree of the system utilization differs by the capabilities of the logistics firms such as logistics management skills, robustness of the organization, technical sophistication, and administrative abilities. A survey was conducted in the Busan and Kyungnam area for 174 companies in the logistics and manufacturing industry. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : First, the degree of utilization of the logistics information system varies depending upon business-type details. Secondly, utilization of the logistics information system is equally important for both manufacturing and logistics companies. Thirdly, it was found that the executives of the companies with logistics management skills can play a key role in utilizing the logistics information system. Finally, the degree of utilization has positive relationships with the logistics performance as the companies benefit from the system not just for saving costs, but more importantly for providing higher-quality services for their customers.

전자상거래의 발달은 산업구조와 상거래의 변화를 가져왔다. 기존의 제조업체와 도, 소매상과 소비자와의 관계 변화에 따라 물류에 대한 중요도가 더해 가고 있다. 인터넷상에서 실시간으로 이루어지는 전자상거래에서 물류는 그 성패를 가늠할 만큼 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. 국내에서는 변화하는 정보화시대에 대비하여 정부차원에서 지난 90년대 중반부터 물류분야에서 종합물류정보망을 구축하여 수출입물류와 국내물류의 정보화를 추진하고 있다. 통관망과 더불어 종합물류정보망은 수출입물류에 있어 전자문서교환(EDI)과 컨테이너터미널에서의 게이트자동화와 터미널운영정보서비스를 제공하고 있다. 육상에서는 첨단화물운송정보시스템(CVO)을 구축하여 화물차량실시간추적 및 수배송주선서비스를 제공하고 육상과 수출입물류에서 정보관리와 통계서비스를 제공하고 있다. 전자상거래에 따른 산업구조와 기술개발 등의 변화 외에도 남북한 긴장완화, 동북아시아 환경변화, 환경친화형 사회 구축 등에 따른 물류정보화에 대한 접근이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 따라 외국에서의 전자상거래의 발달에 따른 물류정보화의 추세, 통신 및 정보기술(IT)의 발달에 따라 구현가능한 물류정보화 서비스를 살펴보고 국내에서 추진중인 종합물류정보망의 서비스와 시스템의 추진방향에 대해 다루어 보았다. 종합물류정보망에서는 향후 수출입물류정보서비스, 첨단화물운송(CVO) 서비스, 통합물류DB서비스, 물류거점시설정보서비스, 물류 e-Marketplace 서비스를 구축, 제공할 예정이다.

With the application enlargement of RFID technology in the field of logistics, it is needed to analyze the relation adoption factors of RFID with logistics performance. That is, this study aims at analyzing how RFID adoption would give an effect to logistics performance in logistics company, stating its implications. More specifically, this study tests empirical relation of CEO's support, technical competence, trading partner, compatibility, relative advantage and logistics performance of applying RFID in logistics company. Based on previous studies which are related to RFID in the field of SCM, logistics, distribution and manufacturing, this study established research model and hypothesis, and surveyed employees of logistics company. To analyze the data, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model were applied. The results are follows. Applying RFID in logistics, CEO's support and trading partner gives significantly positive effect to logistics performance. But compatibility and relative advantage do not give meaningful effect to logistics performance. Additionally, though technical competence does not have statistical significance to logistics performance, it is necessary to consider it can have meaningful influence on logistics performance substantially.

Local freight forwarders circles is suffering financially and insecure employment from over competition which caused by a saturated local logistics market. To overcome ongoing slumping business, it is high time that local freight forwarders went to blue ocean global logistics market, emerging UN procurement logistics market. However it is needed to study on method of successful entry, scrutinizing of market status and ensuing supporting measure from government and research institute.

This study presents an ida on establishing “International Logistics Centre” in Korean Peninsula as a ling-term development model for Korean economy. The essence of this idea is to build a “specialized logistics area” where logistics and human being flow freely and make it a logistics center for the East Asia. The study has performed a questionnaire survey to find out the competitiveness of Korea itself compared with some competing countries. It finally suggested some idea on how to establish successful “International Logistics Centre”.

This research aimed to analyze that there are main causes influencing the quality of trade distribution service. It means that the study was conducted to prove how the quality on trade distribution service affects customer satisfaction and loyalty with managers or higher who are responsible for trade distribution service overall. In accordance with analysis results, main causes (Reliability, Responsiveness, Support System) have a good implication for the quality of trade distribution, and Tangible has little influence. Moreover, customer satisfaction with the quality on trade distribution service has a positive impact on loyalty. Subject to the results, quality components of trade distribution service was ultimately verified that it has a positive relationship with loyalty via customer satisfaction. On the basis of this research, it is confidently expected to help improve the quality on trade distribution service.

Local freight forwarder's circle is suffering worsening profitability and insecure employment from over-competition which caused by a saturated local logistics market. It is emerging UN procurement market for local freight forwarders. However it is needed to study on successful entry, market status and supporting measures from government and research institute. Currently there are no national research data of UN procurement market in logistics sectors but as per the writer's experience and viewpoint to UN bidding, it would seem that appropriate measures should be made such as government's enhanced support for overseas advancement, price competitiveness, building global network and development of education program for trainees associated with current overseas internship program by government.

This study was conducted to investigate the impact of information technology resources and quality of information in logistics information system on logistics performance of logistics companies. The questionnaire targets IT manager of logistics companies. In the questionnaire survey for empirical analysis, we conducted a survey and used 125 responses for statistical analysis to validate hypotheses. The results from the empirical model suggest that quality of information in logistics information system tend to be influence by IT resource. And firm's logistics performance is effected by the usefulness of quality of information in logistics information system.
