Culture technology (CT) becomes important in the recent environment where digital technology drives content-based innovations. However, technological trends of CT have not been systematically discussed. Especially, the trends of CT should be analyzed from the national perspective, because CT has grown with the help of government-driven innovation. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze CT trends focusing on national research projects. We collected data on CT from the national science and technology information service (NTIS) database, analyzed the keyword co-occurrence network, and identified the patterns of technological innovation using a clustering analysis. As a result, we found that CT has contributed to the digital content and cultural media, and has been actively developed with the help of machine learning technique. Especially, due to the rise of Covid-19, the non-face-to-face online content is rapidly increasing. This study provides important clues for understanding, analyzing CT trends.

Though science and technology can understood as a part of cultural system, the relationship of science/technology with culture is often viewed as contradictory or mutually exclusive by many scholars. Therefore, in the first section of the present paper, the nature of science and technology as a cultural form is examined. Here, science is viewed as a form of symbolic culture, while technology is regarded as a form of instrumental culture. In the second section, the contradictory relationship and/or tensions between science-technological system (instrumental culture) and cultural system (symbolic culture) within a society is discussed. In the final section of this paper, 'science culture' is conceptualized as a dynamic social process in which contradictory science sub-cultures of political system(state), economic system(cooperations), civil society (including academic community of scientists and other social organizations and movements), and cultural system are supposed to be coordinated. In conclusion, establishment of 'humanized science culture' and 'democratic science-culture movement' is proposed as an alternative way of resolving contradictory relationship between cultural system and science-technological system in the modern world.

This research aims to diagnosis regional science as culture and propose plans for improvement. The study was performed based on a framework for analyses presented by existing literatures. Science culture is divided into two dimensions(individual and social), Each dimension is expected to represent citizen literacy of and regional infrastructure of science culture respectively. Gyeonggi region of Korean metropolitan area has been analyzed for the case study. As a result of the case study, the level of science culture of Gyeonggi region is weak compared with others areas. To improve, we propose some plans such as budget extension, long-term view on investments, strengthen network and organizational system for regional science culture.

본 연구는 문화유산 데이터의 효과적 정보 시각화 방안을 탐색한다. 문화유산 데이터는 역사적 사회적 맥락 속에서 충실히 이해될 수 있기에, 지리적 평면과 시간 축으로 이루어지는 3차원 시공간 큐브상에 문화유산 데이터들을 배치하는 것은 문화유산의 특성을 반영하면서도 통시적·공시적 조망을 동시에 제공하는 유익한 시각화 방안이 될 수 있다. 이를 확인하기 위해 문화유산 컬렉션 데이터를 지도 평면과 시간 축으로 구성된 시공간 큐브 상에서 탐색·체험할 수 있는 웹 어플리케이션과 AR 어플리케이션을 구현하고, 이에 대한 사용자 평가를 실시했다. 평가 분석 결과 문화유산 데이터의 3차원 시각화는 데이터에 대한 총체적 시야를 제공하고 새로운 체험에 대한 관심과 호기심을 유발하는 한편, 낯선 형식으로 인한 인지적 피로가 뒤따를 수 있어 대상 데이터의 특성, 매체 형식의 특성, 사용자의 경험적 이해, 인간의 지각방식을 고려한 다각적 정보 체험 설계가 필요할 것으로 파악되었다.

This study aims to develop and validate Cultural Competence Scale for prospective social workers. The scale adopted three constructs of cultural competence, which include multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills. It was made up with concrete episodes based on which respondents rate sets of competing statements relating to multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills. The score of each item was calculated by subtracting each score of non-cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills from the corresponding score of cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills when cultural statements got higher scores than did non-cultural statements. Each score was summed up to make a total cultural competence score. Through preliminary and main test, 16 episodes and corresponding sets of statements were selected for the final version. The final scale showed satisfactory levels of reliability and validity. Based on the results, implications for the application and the further improvement of this scale were discussed.

This studied conceptional definition of digital contents and necessity of cultural contents by digital technology in progress. In addition, development process of cultural archetype digital contents based on ultimate idea and imagnation in our culture, refered from cultural archetype and digital content technology was offered by the study. Through abstraction of cultural archetype contents factor, this study deduced development model of digital contents extracted by value chain of cultural archetype contents.

Since second half of 1990s, Korean "Han-Ryu" focuses international attention, which means Korean cultural industries increase their exports. However, traditional theories of international trade in cultural industries could not explain this phenomenon of increasing cultural goods from developing countries. Using the fact that Becker(1996)'s 'consumption capital' can increase productivity in cultural industries as well as contribute to form 'taste' for new cultural goods. This study suggests the proper conditions for catching-up of developing countries in cultural industries through comparative statistics.

'강하고 활기찬 한국과학기술연구원(KIST)'을 만들어 '세계 10대 연구기관으로 발전을 이루는 문화적 토대로 삼아 나가겠습니다" 지난 4월 8일 제 19대 KST 원장으로 취임한 김유승(53) 원장은 과학기술자 개개인의 능력이 최고로 발휘될 수 있는 연구문화 형성에 대한 의지와 함께 우리나라의 과학기술 진흥을 위한 방편으로 "국가 중요정책의 의사결정과정에 과학 기술자들의 의견이 잘 반영될 수 있는 시스템의 확립이 필요하다"고 거듭 강조했다. 김 원장을 만나 KIST 발전계획과 우리나라 과학기술 현안에 대한 견해를 들어 봤다.
