Korean picture books have been recognized for their value as cultural products in the international publication markets. As results of analysis of publishing situation of Korea picture books that have been introduced in the inside and outside of the country, knowledge information picture books for education are mainly exported to China, and picture books of traditional culture and books about Korean emotions to Japan and France. Specially in France, fantasy picture books in various genres and themes, and picture books with various attempts expanded the boundary to children's literature have been introduced. Based on this situation, Korean Libraries can discuss and present their roles and extensional plans of picture books as reading contents and also fine cultural contents in other country.

This study first examines the theoretical aspects in general of the philanthropy including donations, gifts, fundraising, and volunteers which can be applied to the public library situations in Korea. It analyzes the general situations of the philanthropy in the public libraries in Daegu Metropolitan City, and suggests the recommendations for the future. The libraries and librarians should develop systematic manuals for the programs and specifies them in a written form and try to apply various methods to motivate donors and volunteers tn continue tn participate in the programs.

A hyperlink on academic World Wide Web has started to be recognized as a form of collaborative communication network connecting individual researchers and research groups and expanding their collaboration relations by making possible easy and direct online contact among people or groups anywhere in the world. This paper describes the structure of academic hyperlinks embedded in universities' Web sites hosted at the 10 Asian countries and further, examines the association between the structure of the hyperlink network and collaborative communication pattern among those countries based on their frequency of co-authoring articles. This research found that the number of inter-hyperlinks among universities' Web sites was significantly correlated with the frequency of co-authored articles across the 10 countries.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe the characteristics of reading environment for the teens and their reading behavior in the U.S.A. Some researches and statistics on the reading behavior of young students in the U.S.A., the U.K. and Ireland were examined, and the reading environments for the teens in society and at schools and home were described. The development of school media centers since the 1950s and services for young adults in public libraries in the U.S.A. confirms that government, school, society and home should altogether cooperate in order to help students read more and build better reading environment for the teens.

In an extensive oral rehabilitation, determining a proper occlusal vertical dimension is a critical step and the starting point for successful treatment. Since changing the occlusal vertical dimension could be time-consuming, financially challenging, and physically demanding for both clinicians and patients, multi-faceted analysis and careful consideration are essential in the diagnosis and further treatment process. The purpose of this narrative review is to discuss the occlusal vertical dimension and its current issues, and to summarize previous methods of evaluating occlusal vertical dimension to propose clinical guidance for determining a viable occlusal vertical dimension for full-mouth rehabilitation.

우리나라는 농업 산업화의 발달로 인하여 농업용수, 공업용수, 생활용수 사용이 증가하며, 하천에서 직접 물을 취수하여 사용하고 있고 이용 후 생활용수, 농수로 등을 통해 회귀되는 유량이 많아 하천의 유출 특성을 파악하는데 어려움이 있다. 따라서 정확한 하천 유출 체계 특성을 파악하기 위해서는 하천에서 사용되는 물의 이용 특성에 대하여 파악할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 길안천에 운영되고 있는 취수 시설에 대해 문헌조사와 현장조사를 진행하였으며, 조사한 자료를 토대로 하천의 물 사용 체계 모식도를 작성하였다. 길안천 유역의 조사 구간은 대사3교 하류에서 구)묵계교 상류까지 조사를 실시하였다. 문헌조사 대상시설은 취입보, 취수장 등이며, 조사대상은 하천의 유출특성에 영향을 줄 수 있는 시설로 길안천 유역에 영향을 주는 시설에 대해서만 수행을 하였다. 현장조사에서는 현장을 방문하여 취⋅배수시설의 위치 등을 조사하였다. 길안천은 농업용수와 생활용수 사용의 증가에 따라 상하류 측정유량의 반전이 빈번하게 발생하였으나 유출체계 분석을 통해 고려한 결과 안정적인 상하류 관계를 확인하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구를 통해 하천 내 취⋅배수시설 영향에 따른 유출 특성을 고려하여 자료를 검토한 결과 길안천 유역 내의 상하류 유량 반전 시기가 과거에 비해 감소하였으며, 안동시(대사3교)관측소와 안동시(묵계교)관측소 구간의 취⋅배수영향을 고려하여 산정한 유출률을 기존자료와 비교한 결과 일정한 손실고가 유지되는 안정적인 결과를 도출하였다.

This paper explores strategies to enhance internal customer orientation from the perspectives of both disabled clients and people without disabilities (social workers) within vocational rehabilitation facilities. It proposes efficient operational strategies for these facilities through a literature review on the relationship between internal customer orientation and performance. In this process, it examines how satisfying internal customer needs and focusing on job satisfaction in service provision impacts the overall economic and social performance of the organization. The study also identifies practical strategies that can help vocational rehabilitation facilities overcome challenges and achieve sustainable development.

The purpose of this study was to examine particular variables that play a significant role in the difficulty of math test items in College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). The study also aimed to develop a model of measuring the item difficulty. Variables correlated to item difficulty were drawn from the review of the related literature and the analysis of the content and difficulty of the past test items of CSAT. The first instrument was designed by using the correlated variables. According to the results of correlation analysis, the second instrument was made by deleting the variables which showed relatively low correlation with item difficulty and by refining some variables. Several models were proposed by using the revised instrument. The comparison of the R square and cross validity of each model reveals that integrated regression model was the most stable and accurate among the proposed models. The study also showed that statistically significant predictors were choice format, content domain, behavior domain, and the degree of item familiarity in the order of proportion of variance accounted by the predictors. Despite the limited scope of the present research, it can be suggested that its findings provide useful insights into predicting math test item difficulty.

This study attempts to use big data to determine the indicators necessary for a fire risk assessment of buildings. Because most of the causes affecting the fire risk of buildings are fixed as indicators considering only the building itself, previously only limited and subjective assessment has been performed. Therefore, if various internal and external indicators can be considered using big data, effective measures can be taken to reduce the fire risk of buildings. To collect the data necessary to determine indicators, a query language was first selected, and professional literature was collected in the form of unstructured data using a web crawling technique. To collect the words in the literature, pre-processing was performed such as user dictionary registration, duplicate literature, and stopwords. Then, through a review of previous research, words were classified into four components, and representative keywords related to risk were selected from each component. Risk-related indicators were collected through analysis of related words of representative keywords. By examining the indicators according to their selection criteria, 20 indicators could be determined. This research methodology indicates the applicability of big data analysis for establishing measures to reduce fire risk in buildings, and the determined risk indicators can be used as reference materials for assessment.

Recently, as voluntary activity has become more widespread, there have been some voluntary activity movements in the provision of library services for people with disabilities. This study aimed to develop a model on voluntary activity in library services for disabled people in public libraries. Survey data collected through three data collection methods showed that volunteer activities in public library services for the disabled were very poor, and recommended the training of library staff and volunteers serving disabled people, the management of educational programs for librarians about the disabled and the dissemination of standardized manuals. From the results of the survey, a voluntary activity model, based on three factors, the aims of library services, the types of the disabilities, and volunteer services including specific sub areas of services, was developed.
