How Do People Evaluate a Web Site's Credibility (이용자들의 웹 사이트 신뢰성 평가 방법에 관한 연구)

  • The Internet is now an integral part of the everyday lives of a majority of people. They are demanding web sites that offer credible information - Just as much as they want sites that are easy to navigate. But the online reality today is that few Internet users say they can trust the web sites that have products for sale or the sites that offer advice about which products and services to buy. Users want the web sites they visit to provide clear information to allow them to judge the site's credibility. Users want to know who runs the site; how to reach those people; the site's privacy policy; and how the site deals with mistakes. In the eyes of users all sites ate not equal. Users have different credibility standards for different types of sites. For news and information sites users want advertising clearly labeled as advertising. And users want the site to provide a list of the editors responsible for the site's contents, including the editor's email address. For e-commerce sites, user expectations and demands are just about as high as they can be. They say that it is very important that these sites provide specific, accurate information about the site's policies and practices.

  • Opening university library doors to the community is essential to meeting their demands and it is also the duty of university libraries. Since opening doors of university libraries have become more and more significant, this study analysed the conditions of the university libraries that have the open-door policy to external users and carried out an analysis of problems caused by the open-door policy. The following alternatives were suggested : the introduction of the membership system about the external users, the role division of university library and local public libraries, reinforcement of external library user education, and access management about external users.

  • With the perspective of information management, on-going monitoring of the specified service function is one of the major activities and even critical process. The research consisted of three empirical research questions such as, the current usage and overall user-satisfaction, the quality of the R&D information content and the service, and the problems which have been observed by the actual user group of National Digital Science Library (NDSL). The results of the investigation provided several guidelines that can be utilized for the improvements of the R&D information user service as well as some recommendations for overall optimal administration.

  • This paper investigates the user interface design principles and evaluation methods with the corresponding examples. Some of these principles are: 1) focus on the users and their tasks, not the technology; 2) consider function first, presentation later; 3) conform to the users' view of the task; 4) do not complicate the user's task; 5) promote learning; 6) deliver information, not just data; 7) design for responsiveness; and 8) try it out on users, then fix it. In addition, this paper deals with the general human computer interaction issues as the basis for introducing the user interface design principles.

Investigating Change of Users' Perception of Privacy Pre- and Post-Education on Library User Privacy (도서관이용자프라이버시에 대한 교육전후의 이용자인식변화 분석 연구)

  • Library users must provide their personal information to libraries. This study surveyed these library users' perception of privacy and the effect of the education after providing library user privacy education. As a result, first, it was found that after education, users were more interested in their privacy, rated the problem of library user privacy as more severe, and rated library user data collection as more likely to be considered privacy invasion. Second, we investigated users' perception of how much user service records being collected in libraries violate users' privacy, which showed a great perception change in 25 questions after the education. Third, in the survey about library and librarians' efforts for protecting library user privacy, it was found that all 15 questions were rated as significantly more important after education. Fourth, library users have recognized that is necessary to process and handle the library record and are more sympathetic to the need for this procedure. Fifth, library users felt the possibility of a library record leak was a very serious threat.

  • This study is to contribute to develop adaptive information systems meeting inside information needs as well as represented information needs, and dealing with every levels of users and user's preferences. Also, this study is to present a method of developing adaptive information system through developing user profile using machine teaming and decision tree, applying relevance feedback using merged vector, and applying user feedback.

  • 최근 기업에서의 인터넷 응용이 보편화되고 있으며, 인터넷 기반의 전자상거래(CALS/EC)는 선택의 문제가 아니라 생존의 수단으로 받아 들여 지고 있다. CALS/EC는 비즈니스 관련 정보를 전자적으로 교환함으로써 기존의 비즈니스 방식을 개선, 전환, 재정의하고, 비용절감, 품질향상, 서비스의 품질과 속도개선을 통해 고객만족과 기업이윤을 증대시키는 새로운 기업의 전술로 정의되고 있다. 이러한 인터넷 기반 CALS/EC의 활성화로 인해 여러 분야에서의 기업 상품에 대한 마케팅 전략 등이 최우선적으로 고려되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 전자상거래를 포함, 인터넷 이용자의 특성.취향을 분석하기 위한 이용자 특성.취향 분석 시스템의 구성원리와 그 구성요소 중 하나의 모듈인 특성화된 이용자 로그정보로부터 추적 알고리즘을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행함으로써, 보다 정확한 이용자 정보를 수집하여 유연성있는 정보를 제공할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고 구현하였다.

  • 최근 확률형 아이템이 이용자들에게 투입 비용보다 높은 가치의 아이템을 획득할 수 있을 것이라는 막연한 기대감을 갖게 만들어, 게임 이용자의 사행성을 조장하고 과소비를 부추긴다는 우려가 제기되고 있다. 특히 복잡한 확률구조와 관련하여 허위로 표시하는 등 거짓 또는 과장 광고가 만연하여 게임 업계의 자율규제가 실효성을 잃고 게임제작업자가 허위로 확률을 고지하여 이용자들을 기만하는 사례 등이 사회적으로 문제가 되고 있다. 이에 국민의힘 하태경 의원이 일정 규모 이상 게임제작업자는 게임물이용자위원회를 두도록 하는 게임산업진흥에 관한 법률 일부개정(안)을 2021년 3월 24일 대표발의하였는데, 이 법안이 게임산업을 과도하게 규제한다는 비판이 제기되고 있는바, 해당 법안을 분석하여 입법취지에 부합하는 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

A Study on Scientific Article Recommendation System with User Profile Applying TPIPF (TPIPF로 계산된 이용자프로파일을 적용한 논문추천시스템에 대한 연구)

  • Nowadays users spend more time and effort to find what they want because of information overload. To solve the problem, scientific article recommendation system analyse users' needs and recommend them proper articles. However, most of the scientific article recommendation systems neglected the core part, user profile. Therefore, in this paper, instead of mean which applied in user profile in previous studies, New TPIPF (Topic Proportion-Inverse Paper Frequency) was applied to scientific article recommendation system. Moreover, the accuracy of two scientific article recommendation systems with above different methods was compared with experiments of public dataset from online reference manager, CiteULike. As a result, the proposed scientific article recommendation system with TPIPF was proven to be better.

  • The study aims to examine the UCC (User Created Contents) Copyright which use the broadcasting contents. UCC are classified by UGC(User Generated Contents), UMC(User Modified Contents), and URC(User Recreated Contents). Especially UMC and URC correspond to a problem of copyright. Following the Copyright Protection Center investigation in 2006, it reported that 83.7% UCC are infringement of copyright. In spite of remarkable the UCC copyright problem, the concrete resolution does not exist. Also it is difficult to apply the offline legal conformity because of online nature of the UCC. The study observes the UCC copyright dispute instances which use the broadcasting contents and investigates a resolution of the UCC copyright. Considering the online media nature, it tries to analyse CCL(Creative Common License) as the ODR(online Dispute Resolution). It is meaningful to search the possibility of UCC copyright problem through the online technical embodiment.
