Movie stories can be retrieved efficiently by analyzing a script, which is a blueprint of the movie. Although the movie script is described in the formatted structure of Final Draft, it is hard to restore the type without analyzing the story of the sentences since the scripts open on the website are mostly broken. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop and provide the web-based script analysis software so that users collaboratively and freely check and correct the errors in the results after automatically parsing the script. Hence, in this paper we suggest the structure of the web-based collaborative script analysis platform that enables users to modify and filter the type error of the script for high level of film data accumulation and performance evaluation for the implementation results is conducted. Through the experiment, accuracy of automatically parsing appears to be 64.95% and performance of modification by collaboration showed 99.58% of accuracy of parsing with errors mostly corrected after passing through 5 steps of modification.

The object of this study is to compare qualitative level between Korean academic books and American academic ones evaluated by faculty members in Korea. To achieve this study, the data were produced by the questionnaires from faculty members of the Chonbuk National University. The major conclusions are summarized as follows: 1. As a whole, American academic books are evaluated more excellent than Korean academic ones. American academic books have more appropriateness of citation, level of content completion, usefulness of content, clearness of expression and accuracy of data than Korean academic ones 2. This study shows that American academic books are evaluated more excellent than Korean academic ones in every subject. 3. The respondents who had studied in the United States of America for more than two years evaluate American academic books more excellent than those for less than two years. 4. Regardless of the periods of study in America, however, most of respondents evaluate American academic books better than Korean academic ones in all fields.

Objective : This study aims to obtain the validation of Korean version of HOME FAST using the translation-back translation process and to evaluate the reliability. Methods : Total three stages were conducted which includes forward translation to Korean, test for degree of understanding of translated version, back translation to English, and then review and proof reading process. 21 occupational therapists were participated in the evaluation of understanding of Korean-translated HOME FAST, then some of expressions were modified for better understanding. Korean version was went through back-translation to English. Similarity between the original version and re-translated version were evaluated. Total 75 data from community dwelling elderly group were collected to assess internal consistency. Two occupational therapists simultaneously evaluated for the inter-rater reliability. Results : 11 items of Korean-translated scale were responded as having confused meaning by occupational therapists. There was some modification on expression. In the evaluation of similarity between original version and re-translated version, 3 items were selected as dissimilar items in terms of syntax and 6 items were selected in terms of semantic similarity. After the repetitive modification process, items were obtained conceptual equivalence between two different languages. Internal consistency was .62(KR20) (p<.01) and inter-rater reliability was .97(ICC) (p<.01). Conclusion : Korean version of HOME FAST was finalized through translation-retranslation process. The conceptual equivalence was established and Korean version showed highly reliable. In further study, The modification of items reflecting Korean house and life style should be conducted.

This paper proposes a syllabic segmentation method for the korean continuous speech. This method are formed three major steps as follows. (1) labeling the vowel, consonants, silence units and forming the Token the sequence of speech data using the segmental parameter in the time domain, pitch, energy, ZCR and PVR. (2) scanning the Token in the structure of korean syllable using the parser designed by the finite state automata, and (3) re-segmenting the syllable parts witch have two or more syllables using the pseudo-syllable nucleus information. Experimental results for the capability evaluation toward the proposed method regarding to the continuous words and sentence units are 73.5％, 85.9％, respectively.

The purpose of this paper is to explore how effectively can learners improve their written skills in English language classrooms with the application of internet tools and software. First, the study compares and analyzes existing research on English writing and describes research background. Second, the study describes how internet tools can be used effectively in the English writing classrooms. For example, learners pick up vocabulary on the internet bulletin board and create sentences using the vocabulary. Third, the study analyzed changes in learners' in-class attitudes towards software and internet tools using comparative measures of performance. Unlike with offline instrumented classes, the in-class application of diverse software and internet tools such as websites and IRC (Internet Relay Chat) had a major impact on the improvement of learners' writing skills.

본고는 올해 처음 시도하는 세종계획 관용표현 전자사전 구축에 관한 글이다. 본 전자사전이 완성되면 관용표현의 총체적 정보(형태, 통사, 의미, 화용 정보)를 수록하는 최초의 업적이 될 뿐만 아니라 실제 언어 자료에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 관습적 표현까지 모두 포괄하는 4만 표제어의 대규모 사전이 될 것이다. 본 사전에서는 관용표현의 형태 통사적 구성과 그 분포적 속성뿐 아니라, 관용표현이 가지는 논항의 존재 유무, 구조, 조사 통합 양상, 그리고 고정명사에 대한 수식어 제약, 어휘적 통사적 변형 양상, 선어말어미 제약, 어말어미 제약, 문장 유형 제약 등이 수록된다. 또한 각 논항의 의미역과 선택제약에 관한 정보, 그 외 다양한 의미 화용 정보 어원 표기 정보 등도 담기게 된다. 본고에서는 그러한 정보의 표기 양식을 하나하나 명시적으로 설명할 것이다.

Students' intuition in formal proof should be expressed as symbols according to the deductive process. The symbol will play a role of the mediation between the intuition and the formal proof. This study examined the evolution process of intuition mediated by the symbol in geometry proof. According to the results first, symbol took the great roles when students had the non-formed intuition for the proposition. The signification of symbols could explain even the proof process of the proposition with the non-expectable intuition. And when students proved it by symbols, not by figure nor words, they could evolute the conclusive intuition about the proposition.

This study focuses on the development of checklist on articulating reading appreciation, which will be used as the initial data for book recommendation for library users. As reading comprehension is prerequisite for reading appreciation, researchers analyzed research articles on reading comprehension to find out the core factors on reading comprehension and categorize them. Studies on reader response theory and literacy education were also examined: key words and phrases that will stimulate readers' response to reading were extracted and formed as questions. These questions were reviewed by experts on reading education. The final checklist consists of 14 questions - 4 questions on literal·inferential comprehension, 3 on evaluative comprehension, and 3 on appreciative comprehension.

This article aimed to test whether specific social values (i.e., achievement vs. benevolence) could cause changes in decision making on bio-ethical issues. Study 1 investigated value preferences among young Korean college students according to Schwartz's (1992) model of social values. According to the results, the preference for achievement value was correlated negatively with the preference for benevolence value. In Study 2, following a sentence completion task which was conducted to trigger specific values, the participants had to indicate their ethical decisions regarding animal experiment, euthanasia, organ transplantation, biotechnology, sex selection and human cloning, Irrespective of the value priming (achievement vs. benevolence), there were more utilitarian decisions about animal experiment, euthanasia and organ transplantation. In contrary, there were more deontological decisions about sex selection and human cloning. Study 3 introduced a word completion task to assess implicit value preferences. The results showed that the participants with implicit preferences for the benevolence value in the condition of benevolence value priming were more frequently against animal experiments and organ transplantation than those with implicit value preferences for the achievement value. Social values are discussed for understanding one's bioethical decision making.

본 논문에서는 문자출력이 가능한 무선호출기에 음성인식 기술을 접목한, 특성화된 한 음성인식 시스템에 대하여 설명하고자 한다. 시스템 동작 과정은, 일단 호출자가 음성인식 서버와 접속하게 되면 서버는 호출자의 자연스런 입력음성을 인식, 그 결과를 문장 형태로 피호출자의 호출기 단말기에 출력시키는 방식으로 되어 있다. 본 시스템에서는 통계적 음성인식 기법을 도입하여, 각 단어를 연속 HMM으로 모델링하였다. 가우시안 혼합 확률밀도함수를 사용하는 각 모델은 전통적인 HMM 학습법들 중의 하나인 Baum-Welch 알고리듬에 의해 학습되고 인식시에는 이들에 비터비 빔 탐색을 적용하여 최선의 결과를 얻도록 한다. MFCC와 파워를 혼용한 26 차원 특징벡터를 각 프레임으로부터 추출하여, 최종적으로, 83 개의 도메인 어휘들 및 무음과 같은 특수어휘들에 대한 모델링을 완성하게 된다. 여기에 구문론적 기능과 의미론적 기능을 함께 수행하는 FSN을 결합시켜 자연발화음성에 대한 연속음성인식 시스템을 구성한다. 본문에서는 이상의 사항들 외에도 음성 데이터베이스, 레이블링 등과 갈이 시스템 성능과 직결되는 시스템의 외적 요소들에 대해 고찰하고, 시스템에 구현되어 있는 다양한 특성들에 대해 밝히며, 실험 결과 및 앞으로의 개선 방향 등에 대해 논의하기로 한다.
