미상무성이 2021년에 발표한 미국의 전체 무역량 중 한국의 비중은 3.4%로 미국의 수입국중 7위를 기록하고 있다. 그중 전자부품이 차지하는 비율은 26.7%로 미국 내에서도 주요 수입품목으로 분류된다. KOTRA는 미국의 디지털화에 따른 5G, 6G, 클라우드 컴퓨팅, 인공지능(AI) 등의 산업 시장 확대와 더불어 소재부품의 수요도 증가할 것으로 전망하고 있다[1]. 한국의 부품산업이 미국 시장에 보다 효과적으로 진출하기 위한 전략 수립을 위해 마이클 포터의 5 Forces Model을 미국의 산업 환경에 적용하였다. 한국의 부품기업들이 미국시장진출을위해서는 국가 내부적으로는 원천 기술력을 최대한 확보하고, 원자재 공급망을 안정화시켜 외부의 위협을 견제함과 동시에, 미국 시장에서는 한국 전자부품의 차별성을 인증받아 소비재 개발의 초기단계에 파트너사로 진입 산업 내 경쟁우위를 선점하는 것이 중요하다.

입항 수역이 좁은 제주항만은 단일 방향 통항이 가능한 one-way 방식을 사용 중 이다. 이러한 항만 특성으로 인해 제주항을 입출항 하는 선박들은 해상교통관제사(Vessel Traffic Service, VTS)의 지시에 의거하여 순서대로 입출항을 하고 있다. 본 연구는 VTS 관제사가 객관적이고 정확한 예측을 위해 선박자동식별장치(Automatic Identification System, AIS) 선박항적데이터를 이용하여 제주항에 입출항 하는 선박의 이동시간 통계를 산출하여 선박입출항 소요시간을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 AIS 데이터를 이용하여 선박 이동시간을 산출하는 알고리즘을 제안하고, 이에 더하여 기상 상태와 항만 예선 사용에 따른 입출항 소요 시간을 취합하여 분석하고자 한다. 이에 따른 결과를 실제 관제에 적용 시켜 보다 더 안전하고 효율적으로 항만을 운영하는데 의의를 두고 있다.

This study proposes a research model to investigate the effect of ICT on national culture and values. Why should we research the relationship between ICT and culture? We do this to shed light on the cultural framework and find areas for further research. This research has found that the development of Information Communication Technology(ICT) has proved to have a positive effect on the quality of individualism (B0.603), there is a decrease in power distance index(B-0.331)and a correlation between individualism and wealth. Also, the development of Information Communication Technology(ICT) has proved to have a positive effect on the quality of Long Term Orientation. As for adoption and use of ICT, the role of culture is important for many reasons. First of all, we can recognize the importance of national culture and organizational culture in establishing the ability of the overall culture to adapt, efficiently merging with different cultures and overcoming potential obstacles of these tasks. This is the evidence supporting the current theory. Our research shows that development of technology highly influences deep human values. Furthermore, the data points used in this research are from World Economic Forum, World Development Indicator and International Telecommunication Union. In order to understand and develop social evolution and progress, we tried to use data that is fair and verifiable.

The global container terminal market is predicted to see continued future volume growth. According to Drewry, global container shipments rose by 6.3% year-on-year to 750 billion twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2017 and are forecast to experience continued growth to 9.3 billion TEUs in 2022. According to IHS Markit, the global terminal operator (GTO) market is forecast to grow more than 10% annually, up from $2.4 billion in 2017, to exceed $3 billion by 2022. However, Hyundai Merchant Marine is the only real GTO in Korea. In particular, the shipping and port markets are facing drastic changes, both at home and abroad, including a slowdown in the growth of domestic export and import shipments, environmental changes in the container market caused by the trade frictions between the US and China, and increased changes in container shipments caused by the trade frictions between Korea and Japan. In this study, we propose ways for domestic companies to participate in the continuously growing GTO market. After analyzing the current status of the global GTO market, the government expressed a desire to explore ways to establish GTOs through the Port Authority and the Korea Ocean Business Corporation. Therefore, four types of establishment plans were proposed, along with a legal framework for the establishment of GTOs.

This study investigates the effect of organic certification of apples on consumer preference in China as a way to support the expanded export of Korean apples to China. A choice experiment was designed to analyze the apple consumption in China. A total of 298 Chinese consumers answered the survey, and multinomial logit models were used to analyze the results. Organic certification was identified as an important determinant of consumer preference for apples in China, affecting both the evaluation and choice of country of origin. The results also indicated that Korean organic certification significantly increased the probability of Chinese consumers choosing Korean apples. Thus, organic certification by the Korean government should be strengthened to promote apple exports to China, plus the results of this study may provide useful information to promote agricultural product exports and improve the organic certification system.

The object of this research is to take a bilateral look into cultural exchanges of the Netherlands and Japan through the East India Company and thereby improve the general understanding in regards to the exchanges of costume cultures between the East and the West. The study conducted qualitative analyses on features of contemporary costumes of the Netherlands and Japan from 1602 to 1799 by investigating the secondary sources, such as the histories of costumes, arts, and literature. The results are as follows; the traditional sleeves of the Japanese Kimono were basically cut out in a straight line. However due to the growing popularity of the kimono home gown in Europe, the producers of the kimono in India as well as several other European countries modified them into western-style sleeves. Regarding the costumes of the Netherlands, which were introduced to Japan, the study found that Japan imported Dutch fabrics, instead of specific clothing items. In Japan, costume controls and anti-conspicuous consumption regulations among social classes including a closed-door policy had negative effects on both developments and exchanges of costumes of the country. However, when it comes to the Jinbaori, a costume for ruling classes, Japan was open to using fabrics, patterns and designs of the West. In light of what have been discussed so far, the study confirmed that the costume exchanges between the two countries started long after their first business of the general cultural exchanges. Though it is clear that the advancements in the natural sciences that the Japanese made can be attributed to the West, Japan was one of the nations that impacted the costume cultures in Europe.

This research focuses on the effects of international and national factors on the legislation of data privacy law in 117 countries from 1960 to 2011. Previous research on data privacy law usually put its emphasis on the contents of data privacy law, legal interpretation of data privacy law or legal cases; yet it lacks academic approaches from human rights perspectives. This paper points out the diffusion of data privacy law in nation states and analyzes the effects of national international factors affecting the legislation of data privacy law using an event history analysis. It turns out that the increasing number of internet users and international human rights regime are positively associated with the likelihood of having data privacy law. Contrary to our hypotheses, FDI, internal human rights practices, and the level of high technology do not show any effects on the likelihood of having a data privacy law.

전자상거래는 비대면(非對面) 거래로 모든 제반과정이 진행되기 때문에 상대에 대한 신뢰성의 문제가 크며, 거래 당사자와 거래 내역에 대한 입증을 해줄 인증기관이 필요하게 된다. 현재 미국의 베리사인 등 사설인증업체가 국내전자상거래 업체의 인증업무를 담당하고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 인증은 필연적으로 관련 기술의 표준화가 수반되는데 이에 대한 국내기술이 미흡하므로 국제동향을 고려한 국내인증기술의 개발이 시급하다. 특히, 글로벌 전자상거래에서는 인증기관에 대한 문제가 더욱 절실한데 문제는 어떠한 형태로 어떤 기관이 주축이 되어 인증체계를 구축하는가 하는 것이다. 현재, 인증체계는 네트워크 방식, 계층구조, 혼합형의 세가지가 논의되고 있으며, 각각의 장단점이 존재하므로 이에 대한 심도있는 논의가 필요하다. 하지만, 이들 가운데 대부분의 국가에서는 계층구조를 바탕으로 한 네트워크 방식이 주류를 이루고 있음에 주목할 필요가 있다. 이러한 체계는 국가별로 상이할 수 있지만, 문제는 글로벌 전자상거래를 활성화하기 위해서는 보다 일관된 형태의 인증체계 구축이 필요하다는 점이다. 현재까지 이와 관련한 논의는 초보적인 단계를 벗어난 실정이며, 미국 EU 등 일부국가와 UNCITRAL, OECD, ICC, WTO 등 관련 기구에서 다양한 의견을 제시하고 있는 상태이다. 이러한 문제는 단시일 내에 해결되기는 어려울 것으로 보인다. 다만, 단기적으로는 관련국가들간의 상호인증을 통한 해결이 선행될 것이며, 이를 바탕으로 글로벌 인증체계가 실현될 것으로 판단된다. 이와 관련하여 인증과 관련한 국내 시장은 출범 초기 단계로서 글로벌 인증 관련 국 내관련 법적 제도적 보완이 필요하며, 이와 아울러 인증서비스를 이용할 사이버무역업계 및 정부 관련 기관 등의 관심이 촉구된다 하겠다.

The Sea road which is connected from the Gulf of Persia to Canton was completed by Arabs in the end of the eighth century. For the first time in history, the amount of goods by the sea route exceeds land route. In contrast with the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean was a sea of peace. Its western shores were under Muslim control, thus we find in this age a great expansion of commerce on the Indian Ocean. We trace the sea route to China in use in the middle of the ninth century. Also we find out that the outstanding feature of the medieval Arab ship of Indian Ocean are two: the manner in which planks of the hull sewn together, not nailed; and the fore-and-aft set of the sails.
