  • This paper is to design and implement the drone that supports a wideband multimedia communication and a long-range to save people in maritime. The drone is an Unnamed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that is controlled by a radio wave not by people boarding the machine. We use the drone to respond quickly to the boating accident. To develop a smart drone for the high speed seamless video streaming in a long-range maritime, a necessary techniques are hardware design techniques that design structure of a drone, controlling techniques that operate a drone and communication techniques that control a drone in a long distance. In this paper, the limitations and techniques to design and implement the structure of drone supporting wideband multimedia communication for long-range maritime are explained. By expanding this communication drone network, it is aimed at improving utility of a drone.

  • In recent years, Drone(lightweight unmanned aerial vehicle) is used for broadcast shooting, disaster scene, leisure, observation and military purposes. However, as the use of drones increases the threat of hacking is also rising. Especially when a flying drone is seized, a dangerous situation can occur which is abused regardless of the driver's intention. Already in Iran and China, there is a case of hacking and stealing the drones of other countries under reconnaissance. In this paper, we analyze the security vulnerabilities of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication in wireless network which are used in drones for stealing the commercial drones. The results provide a countermeasure to safeguard the drones against attempts by the unauthorized attacker to take out the drones.

  • In the recent weapon system trend, it is required to develop small and low cost guidance missile to track and strike the enemy target effectively. Controling the such small drone typed weapon demands a integrated electronic device that equipped with not only a wireless network interface, a high resolution camera, various sensors for target tracking, and position and attitude control but also a high performance processor that integrates and processes those sensor outputs in real-time. In this paper, we propose the android smartphone as a solution for that and implement the guidance and control application of the missile. Furthermore, the performance of the implemented guidance and control application is analyzed through the simulation.

  • A drone has been popularized to such an extent as to be seen in the near parks recently. The drone refers to an unmanned aerial vehicle(UVA) which can fly and be steered by a radio wave without a pilot and it has a airplane or helicopter shape. • Recent technological advances in wireless networks and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have led to the development of different types of mini-UAVs and their utilizations in various ways. This study endeavors to develop a low-cost mini-UAV with autonomous flight capability, in order to obtain geospatial information of a small or medium-sized area, and also assess its flight stability by comparing the predetermined flight paths against the actual flight paths. Based on a post-development flight test, stable flight has been proven achievable as follows: the maximum endurance speed is 1 hour, the flying distance is 50km, the horizontal accuracy of flight paths is about ${\pm}6{\sim}8m$, and the altitude accuracy is about ${\pm}8m$. Therefore, it is deemed that high-resolution images which can be utilized for geospatial information are obtainable. This indicates that a UAV flying at an altitude of 200m can acquire images across a $2km{\times}3km$ area on the ground within 25 minutes, which validates its high usability for obtaining high-solution images at low altitudes in the future.
