A Study on the Effect of Happenstance Factors on the Perception of Means-Goal Relationship (우연 요인이 수단-목표 관계의 지각에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was performed to examine how intrinsic acceptance for happenstance(IAH) affects evaluation of the means to achieve additional goals when the additional goals are happened to be added to the original means-goal link. Specifically, participants were asked to evaluate the effectiveness of means(e.g., exercise and saving) to achieve additional goals which are either more or less relevant to the means. The result showed that participants with high IAH were more likely to think that the original means is effective to accomplish additional goals than those with low IAH. This pattern, however, was found only when the additional goals are relevant to the means. When the relevance of the additional goals to the means was low, there was no difference in evaluation of the effectiveness of the means to achieve additional goals between participants with high and low IAH. Future research and implications of this study for goal-systems theory and intrinsic acceptance for happenstance were discussed.

The Problems Which Appeared in 13 Year Old Pupils' Performing Experiment of Textbook: Pupils' Suggested Aims, Their Identifying Relevant Variables, and the Relations between the Suggested Aims and the Drawn Conclusions (중학생의 교과서 실험 수행에서 나타난 문제점:실험 목표와 관련 변인 인식 및 인식한 목표와 도출된 결론의 관련성)

  • To investigate 13 year old pupils' suggested aims, recognition of relevant variable, and the relationship between the suggested aim and the conclusion which is drawn by pupils, we classified experiments in textdbook into three cases: (1) Case involving dependent variable and independent variable in the title of experiment, (2) Case involving dependent variable only, where pupils can know independent variable from the content of textbook, (3) Case involving dependent variable only, where pupils hardly can know independent variable from the content of textbook. In respect of the aims which pupils suggested, the suggested aims were reduced to the title of experiment in case(1). However, the suggested aims were divided into several forms which is not relevant to the content of experiment in case (2), (3). This shows that pupils are affected by the title of experiment according to how the variable is involved in the title of experiment. This is supported by the fact that when the variable is described in the title, the suggested aim is reduced to the title of experiment. On the other hand, there was a relationship between the suggested aim and the drawn conclusion in case (1). But there was few relationships in case (2) and (3). Surprisingly, the drawn conclusion in case(1) was not consistent with the expected one because of the inappropriate experimental setting. We need to be more careful in experimental setting, pupils' cognitive ability, and openness of experiment to help pupils perform experiment successfully.

Classifying the Latent Group of Elementary School Students Based on Social Achievement Goals Types and the Exploration of Peer Status and Aggression (초등학생의 사회적 성취목표 유형에 따른 잠재집단 분류와 또래지위 및 공격성과의 관련성 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the latent profiles of social achievement goals and to investigate the differences in peer status (perceived popularity, social preference) and aggression (overt, relational, cyber) among those profile groups. Social achievement goals and cyber aggression data was acquired through self-reporting, and perceived popularity, social preference, and overt and relational aggression were assessed through peer nomination. Applying the latent profile analysis(LPA) to 1,239 elementary school students, three distinct groups of social achievement goals were identified: a development-oriented achievement goal group, an average social goal group, and a overall-high social achievement goal group. Using logistic regression analysis, the relationships between the latent group, peer status, and aggression were examined. The result indicated that the higher the social preference, the lower the probability of belonging to the 'overall-high social achievement goal group'. And the higher the cyber aggression, the lower the probability of belonging to the 'development-oriented achievement goal group'. In addition, the higher the relational aggression of the second time, the higher the probability of belonging to the 'overall-high social achievement goal group' as compared to the 'average social goal group'.

  • In the case that an abstract concept was measured indirectly by using its indicators, many researcher have obtained its score by using the simple mean, the first principal component, or the first factor, etc. In this paper, an scoring method named as the representative component scoring system was suggested as an alternative and its validity and applicability were studied.

A Study on the Influence Factor Relationship of the Railway Tourism Policy for Job Satisfaction (철도관광정책 직무만족도 영향요인 연계성 분석)

  • This research used a survey of 350 staff members working at Korail with the purpose of analyzing influence factors for the railway tourism policy for job satisfaction; results were presented for the proposed factor. First, we selected the influence factor through precedent research related to the railway tourism policy. Second, the selected influence factor and the extent of satisfaction were used to determine whether or not any kind of difference existed according to individual attributes of the railway employees. Finally, we analyzed what the influence factor was between the category factor and the sub-category factor. In conclusion, it was found that government subsidy had a meaningful correlation with infrastructure expansion and the improvement of the railway business as it is connected to tourism efficiency. Human resources have a meaningful correlation with the needs of educational institutions and the retaining of talent. Railway tourism production has a meaningful correlation with railway tour production as it is conducted to satisfy tourists and the consortium. The shift of viewpoint has a meaningful correlation with the escape from the peace-at-any price principle and demand forecasting.

A Review on the International Trends for Establishing Post-2020 National Targets Relevant to Protected Areas - Focused on the CBD Decisions and Aichi target-11 Achievement Status - (Post-2020 국가 보호지역 목표 설정을 위한 국제동향 고찰 - 생물다양성협약 결정문 및 글로벌 목표 성취현황 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to draw suggestions for establishing the Post-2020 national policy direction and goals related to protected areas in Korea by analyzing the trends of major discussion issues on protected areas in the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and reviewing the achievement progress of the Aichi target-11. Regarding the CBD decisions on protected areas, two decisions (Decisions II/7 and II/8) were adopted in 1995, and then the Program of Work on Protected Areas (PoWPA), which presented an ideal blueprint for protected areas, was adopted at the 7th Conference of the Parties (COP) in 2004. At the 10th COP in 2010, the "Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the Aichi Biodiversity Target" (Decision X/2) was adopted along with the Decision X/31, which presented ten key issues related to protected areas. The global outcomes of the Aichi Target-11 include 15% of the earth's land area and 7.4% of the ocean being designated as protected areas. In Korea, 16.63% of the land and 2.12% of the ocean have been designated as protected areas. However, the outcomes of the effective and equitable management, protection of areas important to biodiversity and ecosystem services, and identifying "Other effective area-based conservation measures" (OECMs) and linking them with protected areas have been found to be significantly short of global goals. The first draft of the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework (Post-2020 GBF) prepared in January 2020 presented multi-step objectives. They included protecting at least 60% of particularly important sites for biodiversity through protected areas and other effective area-based conservation measures, at least 30% of the entire land and sea areas, and at least 10% of them under strict protection by 2030. The Updated Zero drafted in August 2020 concisely set out one quantitative goal of at least 30% of the globe by 2030, adding qualitative goals that these areas should be protected and conserved through "well connected and effective system of protected areas and OECMs at least 30 % of the planet with the focus on areas particularly important for biodiversity." Based on the draft Post-2020 GBF's targets related to protected areas and Korea's national targets reflecting the current state of Korea and established national plans, we suggest the national targets "to protect and conserve at least 30% of the land area and 10% of the marine area and to strengthen the means of qualitative achievement by establishing sub-targets through an effective system of protected areas and OECMs by 2030.".

The influences on the self-regulated learning ability due to nursing students' achievement goal: Focusing on the mediating effects of autonomous support (간호대학생의 성취목표가 자기조절학습능력에 미치는 영향: 자율성지지의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study based on descriptive research is to examine the influences on the self-regulated learning ability due to nursing students' achievement-goal and to make sure mediating effect of autonomous support of professor. A convenience sample of 294 nursing students were recruited from a college in C province from April to May, 2018. Data are analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. As a result, it is turned out that there are positive correlation between mastery goal, performance approach goal, self-regulated learning ability and autonomous support of professor. In the Sobel test results, autonomous support of professor had a partial mediating effect between mastery goal and self-regulated learning ability(Z=3.922, p<.001). So, a new teaching method should be developed through the convergence of related factors of self - regulated learning ability.

  • 최근의 새로운 교수 학습 형태인 웹기반 교육에서의 가장 중요한 요소는 시.공간적으로 떨어져 있는 학습자의 학습 상황을 파악하고 분석하여, 학습자에게 적절한 학습내용과 과정을 제시하는 하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹기반 교수 시스템에서 학습자의 수준에 맞는 적합한 학습 내용과 평가 문제를 제공하고, 그 평가 결과를 분석하여 반복학습 및 심화학습을 효과적으로 제공하고, 차기 학습을 할 경우에 이에 기초하여 적절한 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 한다. 이를 위해 코스웨어를 설계시 학습목표의 중요도, 학습내용의 난이도, 학습목표와 학습내용과의 관련성과 각 항목의 가중치를 고려한 퍼지 함수에 의해 퍼지 소속성을 가진 퍼지 언어 변수로 각 프레임에 대한 수준을 표현한다. 또한, 학습의 평가도 문제의 난이도, 관련학습 자료의 난이도, 관련 학습목표의 중요도, 각각의 관련성을 고려하여 퍼지 함수에 의해 언어 변수로 평가된다. 이와 같이 퍼지 함수를 이용함으로써 학습자의 수준을 분석하고, 이에 적절한 학습 및 평가 내용을 제공하는데 여러가지 다양하고 불확실한 요소들을 고려하여 처리함으로써 보다 융통성 있고 효과적인 교수 학습 방법이 될 수 있다.

  • In Korean railroad-related Organizations facing turbulent environmental change and growth, the introduction of MBO has long been a full-fledged trends. The main reason for this trends is that they need to adapt their system to their vision, mission, value, and strategy in order to gain a sustainable competitive advantage. The purpose of this article is to depict the effectiveness of MBO in railroad-related organizations based on the cognitive response of employees. To attain this purpose, several aspects of current MBO system are surveyed through questionaire and analyzed by SPSS. And some implications will be supposed.

The Structural Relationship among Learning Goal Orientation, Creativity, Working Smart, Working Hard, and Work Performance of Salespersons (영업사원의 학습목표지향성, 창의성, 업무방법, 업무강도, 업무성과의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to specify a structural relationship among learning goal orientation(LGO), creativity, working smart, working hard, and work performance of salespersons, verify the direct and indirect effect of variables, and examine impacts of the five factors at the same time. Also, this carried out the study to understand the relationship between the salesperson's creativity and work performance. This study targeted for salespersons who were working in various industries and total 588 were participated via on-line. According to the study, the result is as follows. First of all, There are direct effects among LGO, creativity, working smart, and work performance. However, working hard didn't have any direct effect with any other variables. Creativity and working smart have indirect effects on the relationship between LGO and job performance. In addition, the mediating effect of the model with creativity was higher than that of the model without creativity. Therefore, creativity is an individual competency that should be continuously developed to improve the work performance of a salesperson.
