모피 패션의 미적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Aesthetic Characteristics of Fur Fashion)

  • This study researched transition process of fur costume from ancient times to 20th century, extracted esthetic characteristics, and then understood how the esthetic characteristics appear in the recent fur collection. The result is as follows. First, magical meaning was revealed on leopard fur that ancient chief priests wore on top of shenti to symbolize immorality and fur tunics to which christian symbol was added in Byzantine. During middle age and the Renaissance, extravagance appeared on sable and amin jackets that the noble decorated to show off their high status. During the rococo age and mid-20th century, sensuality and elegance appeared on the fur dresses that the female body was emphasized. Second, in recent collection, extravagance appeared on over-sized and voluminous fox-coat, sexsuality and elegance were revealed through mink-dresses and jackets with soft touch and gloss that curved-silhouette was emphasized. In addition, practicality and functionality were shown through short length and light, soft material, and activeness was in the mink jacket to which functional elements such as zippers and rubber were added. To pursue uniqueness and fun, fox jackets were made with over-sized vivid green color. Besides, abnormality and vulgarness appeared through the fashion with abnormal and distracted images with ambiguous forms and new processing methods applied.

스마트 폰 UI의 디자인 철학에 따른 잠재적 사용자 확보 (Securing of Potential Users of Smartphone UI due to the Philosophy of its Design)

  • 지금까지 스마트 폰 사용자는 Innovator, Early Adopter가 주 고객이었다면 가격 안정화와 인터넷을 즐기는 노인세대가 등장하면서 소외계층에 대한 중요성 및 체계적인 분류와 집중, 전략의 필요해졌다. 그리고 노년계층만으로 국한된 소외계층이 아닌 자신의 의지에 따라 사용자가 될 수 있는 잠재적 사용자에 대한 세분화와 그들을 확보할 수 있는 UI에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 그들을 확보하기 위해 iPhone의 스큐어모피즘, MS 메트로UI, Google 머티리얼 UI가 변하는 과정에서 UI의 기본구성요소(WIMP)가 어떻게 적용되어 왔는지 분석하였다. 분석결과 스큐어모피즘은 완전히 새로운 것이 아닌 사용자에게 외면 받았던 부분을 보완 개선하는 방식으로 천천히 잠재적 사용자를 확보하고 있고 메트로 UI는 터치UI개념으로 처음부터 잠재적 사용자를 고려하였지만 새롭고 획기적인 UI로 그들을 확보하지 못했다. 하지만 Google의 머티리얼 UI는 스큐어모피즘 UI와 메트로 UI의 단점을 보완하고 가성비를 내세워 잠재적 사용자 중 최종수용자까지 확보할 수 있는 UI로 발전하고 있다. 따라서 잠재적 사용자를 확보하기 위해서는 스마트폰을 왜(why) 사용해야 하는지에 대해 사용자 스스로가 공감할 수 있도록 해야 하며 직접적인 대화와 관찰의 피드백을 통해 더욱 체계적인 UI연구로 접근해야 함을 제언한다.

  • 최근의 대기오염과 기후변화는 특정 지역에만 국한되지 않고 전지구 규모로 발생하고 있다. 따라서 인공위성에 탑재된 원격 센서들을 이용한 대기환경 모니터링이 주목을 받고 있다. 일산화탄소 (CO)는 OH 농도와 직접적인 관련이 있는 대류권 화학에서 매우 중요한 미량기체이며, 대기 중 lifetime이 약 2개월이므로 산불이나 대규모 공업단지에서 생성된 CO를 포함한 오염물질들의 추적자로 사용될 수 있다. 이러한 취지에서 MOPITT (Measurement of Pollution in The Troposphere) 기기가 개발되어, 1999년에 지구관측위성인 Terra에 탑재되어 CO 및 CH$_4$ 모니터링을 수행하고 있다.   • This study analyzed the trends and aesthetic characteristics of fur design found in the contemporary fashion to examine the status of fur material in the contemporary fashion design, and through an analysis of the meaning it attempted to come up with a new viewpoint and form on material for the future fashion design. A literature review was used to explore the kinds and properties of furs. In addition, an empirical analysis of works that have appeared in fashion collections since the year 2000 was conducted with local and foreign fashion magazines such as Gap, Vogue, and Mode & Mode and other publications related to fashion collections. In the contemporary fashion, the trends of fur design are represented by use of various items, material combinations, application to decorative purposes(like trimmings, details, or accessories), and a wide range of colors and textures available by advanced dyeing and finishing techniques. The aesthetic values intrinsic to fur design are that the expression of conspicuous luxury covers even the qualitative aspect of luxury and adds fashionable images to casual items, contributing to the popularization of fur fashion, by using a variety of artificial furs; the expression of sensual feminine beauty allows the animal and primitive feel characteristic of furs to convert a feminine body into a sensual image of more than a simple biological impulse; and the expression of hybridity presents a new viewpoint through distortions, exaggerations, deviations from the existing constituent forms, or futuristic sensibilities in all elements of fashion design.

윤리적 소비, 이타주의인가 이기주의인가? - 인조 모피 소비자 문화 분석 - (Is Ethical Consumption Altruistic or Egoistic? - Consumer Culture of Wearing Faux Fur -)

  • Consumption of faux fur is a part of ethical consumption, and is valuable in terms of protecting and caring for animals. The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of consuming faux fur (i.e., characteristics of faux fur consumption and how consumers relate faux fur with ethical issues) from the perspective of consumer culture theory. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with those who have purchased faux fur. Two overarching themes emerged in regards to consuming faux fur, altruistic and egoistic orientation. Regarding the altruistic orientation, participants were sympathetic to animals, and considered consumption as part of practicing social responsibility and ethics. Participants had concerns for animal rights and conflicts with others who consumed actual fur. They viewed faux fur as an alternative to actual fur. Regarding egoistic orientation, participants isolated themselves from ethical issues in order to be free from guilt. Despite the preference for actual fur, they compromised between their desire and social criticism. Furthermore, their intention was to pretend as if they were wearing actual fur or move onto a completely different style, and had a negative outlook on social change regarding the adoption of faux fur. The findings contribute to a better understanding of consumer culture of consuming faux fur. Further research on diverse aspects of ethical consumption is warranted.

지속가능한 의생활과 의류 미세플라스틱 의식 연구 -인조모피와 플리스를 중심으로- (Consumers' Sustainable Clothing Habits and Perceptions on Microplastics Shedded from Clothing -Focused on Fleece and Faux Fur-)

  • The study aims to assess the current status of sustainable clothing habits from the perspective of consumers. Awareness and management behavior regarding microplastics from fashion products and usage of fleece and faux fur were investigated. A random online survey involving 413 women was conducted to figure out their perceptions on microplastics that are shedded from fashion products such as fleece and faux fur. The results indicate that 73.6% were not aware of the fact that microplastic is released during the washing process of fleece and faux fur. Furthermore, only 26.6% of the respondents who were aware of microplastics from clothing washing were making efforts to reduce its emission. The respondents considered product sustainability more in the selection stage than in the management stage (p<.001). The results revealed that, although the respondents were highly aware of the risk of environmental pollution that microplastics pose, they were neither fully cognizant of the fact that microplastics may come from fashion products, nor did they make efforts to reduce its emissions. Compared with respondents in their 20's, respondents in the age of 30-40 years seemed more aware of microplastics from fashion products and exerted more effort to reduce its emission.

스큐어모피즘을 적용한 패션 에듀테크 XR 콘텐츠 연구 (Research on Fashion Edutech XR Content Applying Skeuomorphism)

  • This study aims to rediscover the industrial value of a borderless service in the hyper-connected era by producing fashion content at the forefront of the cultural industry as XR content and contributing to developing fashion content for edutech. The research method employed design aesthetic theory, while the empirical proposal utilized scientific knowledge information to build a framework for 3D convergence content. The characteristics of fashion content exhibitions that apply the neumorphism technique are as follows: The first is a virtual space that produces clothing culture by type. Africa, where dyeing and crafts are developed, selects a product-oriented exhibition type; Asia, where weaving and textiles are excellent, selects a random movement type; and Europe, where the evolution of clothing design over time is evident, selects a guided movement type to create a three-dimensional fashion edutech. The goal was to produce content. The second is creative reproducibility, which combines a new fashion design that embraces the aura of the original with a trendy sense. The realistic folk costume style of the original allowed for its implementation in the AR exhibition space using historical traditional style techniques such as weaving and textiles. The third is building organic, modular content. By designing and then saving/editing/arranging the basic VP zone for each style, learners and instructors can freely edit the content for each fashion class topic and create various presentations to ensure that it functions as non-face-to-face edutech content around the world.

한국과 러시아 여성들의 모피의류 선호도 비교연구 - 서울-모스크바 여성들을 중심으로 - (Comparative Study on Fur Clothing Preferences of Korean and Russian Women - Focused on Seoul and Moscow Women -)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare fur clothing preferences of Korean and Russian women, and then to provide a beneficial data to Koran fur manufacturers who is working in Korea and advancing into Russia. 346 subjects were gather in Seoul and Moscow through convenience sampling method, and frequency, percentage, mean, x²-test, t-test were conducted for data analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Korean and Russian women's fur clothing buying motives, information sources, important factors on purchasing, purchasing, influences ere generally examined. 2. Russian women's fur clothing possession rate as well as fur clothing purchasing intention in the future were higher than Korean women's. 3. Fur clothing item, material, color, style, length which Korean and Russian women prefer were compared. 4. In case of shilhouette, Russia women showed high preference on swinger shilhouette, relatively Korean women preferred H-line. 5. In case of collar design, Russian women showed high preference on stand collar, relatively Korean women preferred notch collar or shawl collar. 6. In case of sleeve design, Russian women showed high preference on turn back cuffs sleeve, relatively Korean women preferred push-up sleeve.
