Collaborative Learning System based on Augmented Reality for Enhancing Collaboration (협업성 강화를 위한 증강현실 기반의 협업적 교육 시스템)

  • This paper aims to design and implement a collaborative learning system based on the augmented reality. The existing augment reality-based learning systems have just focused on interactivity between a system and learners without consideration of cooperability, thereby leading to an ineffective approach to encouraging an learning system to be more supportive and conducive of and to cooperation among learners. The collaborative learning system is a learning method, with which learners achieve a common objective through critical thinking and cooperative teamwork so as to seek solutions to such fulfillment. This requires positive interdependence, proactive interactions, a sense of responsibility shared by individuals as well as the group, and development of teamwork among learners. Educators and systems assume a critical role in helping the collaborative education be effective. An educator is responsible for defining a project at the outset of learning activities, organizing groups for learners, and providing evaluation criteria applied to a group's project activities. Meanwhile, a system shall support interactions to take place while facilitating learning activities. Furthermore, an educator shall provide a system for managing and evaluating activities involving interactions among learners. This paper suggests and embodies a collaborative learning system based on the augmented reality with consideration of the aforementioned collaborative education.

A Study on the Oral Health Knowledge and Education Needs of Adult's Lifestage -Research on Basic Data for Developing Oral Health Education Plan for Well-aging- (성인의 생애주기별 구강보건 지식과 교육 요구도에 관한 연구 -웰에이징 구강보건교육안 개발 기초자료 조사-)

  • This study investigated the oral health knowledge and educational needs of adults by life cycle. We aimed to provide basic data for developing oral health education plans for well -aging. The survey was conducted online and through mobiles by Gallup Korea during February 2021. A total of 319 adults over the age of 19 were surveyed. The study aimed at investigating the general characteristics, the quality of life-related to oral health, knowledge of oral health, and the need for well-aging education. The PASW Statistics ver 18.0 statistical program was used for data analysis. The analysis of the data suggests that prevention was the highest priority among all age groups. Furthermore, there was a difference in the perceived educational need among different age groups. The cause of the youth, the treatment of the middle-aged and the elderly were significantly related to oral and systemic disease. The need for education related to oral diseases was ranked in the order of aches, bad breath, periodontal diseases, and tooth discoloration. For information, the subjects reached out to the internet, dental and medical institutions, and public health centers. The teaching methods experienced by those surveyed included lectures combined with experience, videos, and expert lectures. We believe that this study can be used to develop an education plan that reflects the needs of the subjects when conducting life cycle education for well-aging.

  • 최근 한류의 유행과 결혼 이주여성 등의 증가로 인해 다양한 첨단 미디어를 통하여 세계 각국에서 외국어로서의 한국어를 배우려는 학습자의 수가 증가하고 있다. 교수자와 학습자간의 교육환경은 다양한 학습미디어의 발전에 따라 학습자가 수동적인 자세에서 벗어나 능동적인 학습 방법으로 진화되고 있다. 특히 다양한 멀티미디어 기기와 관련 기술들의 발전은 기존의 교육방법론적 환경에서 벗어나, 새로운 기술에 기반을 둔 학습자 중심의 교육방법의 개선과 제시에는 현실적으로 고려해야하는 여러 사항과 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 최신 기술에 기반을 둔 모바일을 이용한 엠러닝(M-Learning) 기반의 한국어교육 콘텐츠관리를 위한 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

  • 컴퓨터와 멀티미디어, 네트워크 기술의 발달을 바탕으로 웹 기반 교육이 출현하였고 기존 교실 중심수업의 한계를 뛰어 넘는 교육적 잠재성에 교육 운영자 및 학습자는 많은 기대를 하게 되었다. 웹을 이용한 학습은 자기주도적인 학습이 가능하고 학습자와 교수자 간의 상호 보완적인 학습이 이루어질 수 있다는 장점이 있기 때문이다. 이러한 웹 기반 학습을 효과적으로 운영하기 위해서는 개별 교육기관 자체적으로 개발한 학습관리시스템(Learning Management System;LMS)이 필요하다. 학습자들에게 양질의 온라인 콘텐츠를 제공하고자 하는 교사들을 위해 개발된 학습관리시스템 중 하나가 Moodle LMS이다. Moodle LMS는 소스가 공개되어 있어 누구나 필요한 사람은 소스를 개선, 확장, 활용할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 Moodle LMS를 활용하여 학습자가 원활하게 토론에 참여할 수 있는 토론 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • 빅데이터의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 빅데이터의 시대에 교육서비스시장은 스마트 교육이라는 새로운 변화에 따라 많은 변화가 일어나고 있다. 자기 주도적이며 개인화되고 쌍방향커뮤니케이션 등의 특징을 가진 스마트러닝 환경에서는 LMS와 LCMS의 역할이 점점 중요해지고 있다. 현재 콘텐츠의 중요성이 부각되는 정보홍수 시대이므로 LCMS가 해야 할 역할이 크다. 그러나 아직까지는 교육서비스에서 빅데이터의 아키텍쳐와 대용량 데이터 처리 기술을 활용하고 있는 사례는 그다지 많지 않다. 이에 본 논문에서는 빅데이터 기술을 활용한 LCMS에 대해 분석하고 새로운 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Application Development and Performance Analysis of Smartphone-based QR Code Interpreter (스마트폰 기반의 QR코드 해석기 성능분석 및 응용개발)

  • Recently, with the advance of Ubiquitous era, the types of services become diverse. Especially, due to the rapid development of mobile technology, the new functions of mobile phones are added and the new applications of mobile phones are developed actively. Among the various applications related to mobile phones, 2 dimensional barcode-based applications are increasing. 2 dimensional barcode is mostly used for the management of past record. However, by combing 2 dimensional barcode with mobile phones, the application areas of 2 dimensional barcode are expanded to the means of publicity for education, tourism, and festivals. In this paper, we develop a QR code decoder running on smartphones, which connects on-line and off-line. In addition, we modify our decoder by detecting the point for performance enhancement based on TRIZ. We compare our decoder with an open-source based decoder in terms of the code size of decoding and the speed of decoding in order to prove that our decoder has a better performance than the other. Finally, we introduce two applications: u-map and u-pamphlet as QR code applications.

A Case Study on Convergence-based Mobile English Curriculum (융합기반의 모바일영어커리큘럼에 관한 사례 연구)

  • This study aims to prove the value of convergence-based mobile English curriculum for English education prior to its practical use. This is deferent from the existing studies in developing and studying a curriculum using an English program loaded in mobile to make an effective English learning. In order to find out how well teachers are aware of this curriculum, we performed qualitative researches. Some English teachers asked for feedback about the curriculum gave us positive feedback in most areas such as learning authentic English, repetition effects, cooperative learning, self-efficacy experience, and so on. As a negative feedback, they were afraid of students' easy and free attitudes because of the new learning environments. This problem can be solved by the very close communications between teacher and student through on and off line. Next time applying this curriculum to the field and analyzing will be expected.

  • Because Twitter provides an easy way to reweet and reply to other user's tweets, it is used to delivery our opinion to others and get useful information from followers as a useful tool. Recently, there have been many attempts to use Twitter in many application area. Especially, Twitter has been tried to use in education area. Twitter service can be used in educational environments as a communication tool between professor and students and among students without restriction on space and time. Twitter service has good possibility of applying, but there have not been many studies that prove the effectiveness and possibility of the tool as a useful educational tool through experimental studies. In this study, Twitter is used as a tool of the question-and- answer session of the university students during a semester. And the activities are investigated and analyzed. As the results of the analysis, if we do not force the use of Twitter, Twitter utilization of students is low. Thus, we show that Twitter has the potential for educational utilizing, but the aggressive efforts between professor and students are needed to show such effects.

  • In the ubiquitous which is rapidly developing with ultra speed these days, constructing the u-Campus which is using the sensor-network as its base is keep developing. Also, any information related equipments like PC and mobile, computing is possible whenever and wherever you want and due to the development of the wireless network, the service environment is continually developing. In this article, I'd like to suggest the u-Campus which is very suitable to the user's environment which had used application of mobile. In u-Campus, various techniques are adopted and applied along with development of info-communication related technidques. Especially, the new type of campus which is constructed by adopting the ubiquitous computing net-work technique to the campus of university is the u-Campus. In this article, by suggesting u-Yuhan designing methods, more effective and advanced school activities of students to make possible.

The Effect of Providing Information Using a Mobile Internet Terminal on Anxiety, Discomfort and Satisfaction with Education among Patients Undergoing a Coronary Angiogram (모바일인터넷 단말기를 이용한 정보제공이 관상동맥 조영술 대상자의 불안, 불편감 및 교육만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of providing information using a mobile internet terminal on anxiety, discomfort and satisfaction with education among patients undergoing a coronary angiogram. Methods: Data were collected from July 27, 2016 to February 23, 2017. A total of 64 participants (34 for the experiment group and 30 for the control group) admitted to a department of cardiology internal medicine for coronary angiography were recruited. Data were analyzed by SPSS Window 22.0 Program. Results: Information provided through mobile internet terminal did not affect anxiety and objective and subjective discomfort of the participants for coronary angiography, it was effective in satisfaction with education. Conclusion: Based on the results, it is indicated that video education using a mobile internet terminal could be an effective method to improve nurses' work efficiency and quality and to raise satisfaction with education.
