Acoustic Analysis of the Cavity in Rotary Compressor (로터리 압축기 내부의 소음해석)

  • Gas pulsation discharged from the cylinder causes noise in the rotary compressor. Mufflers are usually used to reduce the noise generated by the gas pulsation. The muffler has been designed to maximize the acoustic transmission loss of the muffler. The gas which went through muffler is discharged to the cavity in compressor. Thus, the acoustic characteristics of cavity should be taken into account in muffler design. In this paper, the program for the acoustic substructure synthesis method is developed. This program can be interfaced with SYSNOISE which is commercial acoustic package. Several types of mufflers designed to have the better acoustic performance are suggested in this work and compared with the existing commerical muffler in the compressor. The acoustic performance of mufflers taking into consideration of the cavity in the compressor is also carried out by the developed program.

  • The present paper introduces a new fixed interface component mode synthesizing technique based on the notion of higher-order field-consistency. The present technique employs higher-order residual constraint modes in addition to lower fixed interface normal modes while consistency in matching field variables at the substructure interface is maintained. The present field-consistency approach does not increase the size of the synthesized system even if higher-order residual constraint modes are included. A new field-consistent higher-order synthesis technique is first presented and a numerical example is given to verify the present method.

  • Many studies using the assumed mode method have been found for the free vibration analysis of stiffened plate with known elastic boundary conditions. However many local structures such as tank edges and equipment foundations consist of connected structures and it is very difficult to find suitable elastic boundary conditions. In this study combined polynomials which satisfy simply and fixedly supported boundary conditions are proposed. The proposed method has been applied to tanks which bounded by bulkhead and a deck. The results of this study shows good agreements with these obtain by the FEA S/W(Patran/Nastran).

  • In this study, the metastable state diamond thin films have been deposited on Si substrates from methand-hydrogen and oxygen mixture usin gMicrowave Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (MWPCVD) method. effects experimental parameters MWPCVD including methan concentrations, oxygen additions, operating pressure, deposition time on the growth rate and crystallinity were investigated. diamond thin film was synthesized under the following conditions: methane concentration of 0.5%(0.5sccm)∼5%(5sccm). oxygen concentration of 0∼80%(2.4sccm). operating pressure of 30Torr∼ 70Torr, deposition time of 1∼32hr. SEM, WRD, and Raman spectroscopy were employed to analyse the growth rate and morphology, crystallinity and prefered growth direction, and relative amounts of diamond and non=diamond phases respectively.

A Study on the Equivalent Static Wind Load Estimation of Large Span Roofs (대스팬 지붕구조물의 등가정적 풍하중 산정에 관한 연구)

  • The GF(Gust Factor) method is usually used as a method to evaluate equivalent static wind loads for general structures. The GF method is performed on the assumption that the shape of the equivalent static wind load profile is typically similar to that of mean wind loads. The shape of fluctuating wind loads could be quite different with that of the mean wind loads in case of large-span structures. So, the effect of higher modes as well as first mode must be considered to evaluate the wind loads. In this study, the ACS (Advanced Conditional Sampling) method is suggested to evaluate of equivalent static wind loads after investigating about GF and LRC method. The An method ran derive effective static wind loads by combining wind pressures and inertia forces of a structure chosen at a maximum load effect. The maximum load effect is assessed with the time history analysis using pressure data measured in wind tunnel tests. Equivalent static wind loads evaluated using ACS, GF, and LRC methods are compared to verify the effectiveness of ACS method.

Vibration Analysis for Car Installed Transverse Engine Through Experimetal Method (실험적 방법을 통한 횡 탑재 엔진 차량에 대한 진동 해석)

  • Research on vibration of a vehicle with a transversely mounted 4-cylinder engine was performed using a vector synthesis method, Data of the engine vibration for the vector synthesis method was obtained experimentally and the data was ODS-fitted to calculate vibration level on any engine location assuming that the engine is rigid body in the frequency range of interest. In order to derive the excitation force on the vehicle body, the displacements were converted from the acceleration of engine. The transfer functions from engine mounts to toe pan on the floor were obtained experimentally. The vibration level on the toe pan was predicted by multiplying the excitation force by the transfer function. The predicted vibration level was compared with experimental data and the result was reasonable. Using the developed method, analysis was made for the effect of body fixture conditions of the vehicle when testing the engine vibration and for the effect of the transfer functions when the engine is installed or when the engine is removed. Finally the degree of contribution for 12 transfer paths was calculated.

  • 많은 공학자들은 기계 재료의 종류 및 형태에 따른 정적, 동적 특성 연구를 수행해 왔다. 특히 산업적으로 그 활용도가 높은 평판 재료에 대한 진동 특성 연구는 많이 이루어졌다. 최근에는 진동 특성을 해석하는 방법도 부분구조합성법, 감도해석법 등의 방법으로 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 한편 평판의 진동이 공기와 같은 매질로 상호 작용을 하며, 막힘이 없는 공간으로 음향을 방사하는 현상에 대한 연구도 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 평판 재료를 사용하여 기계 구조물을 제작하는 경우 많은 경우에 구조물간 결합에 의해 폐공간이 형성되고 이러한 폐공간에 의해 평판의 진동이 구조-음향 연성 현상이 발생되고, 이에 따라 평판의 진동 특성도 달라지게 된다. 이러한 구조-음향 연성에 대한 연구는 1978년 Wayne B.McDonald와 C.Kearney Barton, 1979년 R.Vaicatis에 의해 폐공간 내로의 음향 전달 현상을 연구하며 이루어졌다. 최근에 연구 동향은 이장명의 FEM과 BEM을 이용한 폐공간 내로의 음향 전달 현상을 연구하였고, V.B.Bokil에 의해 구조-음향 연성된 평판의 모드 해석 방법이 연구되었다. 한편 V.Martin에 의해 능동 소음 제어의 모델링을 좀더 정확히 하기 위해 구조 연성계를 고려한 연구도 수행되었다. 연구 결과 구조-음향 연성에 의한 평판의 고유진동수 변화를 구하였고 이 때에 경계조건을 만족하는 직교다항식을 이용한 Rayleigh-Ritz 방법을 이용하였다. 또한 이러한 해석은 실험과도 매우 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다.

  • Of srategic importance nowdays is the development of high performance spacecraft bus. In this study, optimization for spacecraft structure is performed under the framework of coupled load analysis which is a branch of component mode synthesis with constrained mode and modal transient analysis. unlike the traditional method which uses the quasi-static table supplied by launch vehicle contractor, the present method adots the load results of previous coupled load analysis. It if shown that the proposed method can serve as a effective tool for the optimization spacecraft structure in the early stage of design and weight reduction by numerical example.

CAE-based DFSS Study for Road Noise Reduction (로드 노이즈 개선을 위한 전산응용해석 기반 DFSS 연구)

  • In the early phase of vehicle development, CAE is conducted as tool for vehicle performance assessment. To maintain acceptable road noise performance, solution for reduced vehicle sensitivity is required. Chassis interface dynamic stiffness characteristics are key component to isolating vibration and noise of road from the vehicle interior. This research provide how to set up the optimized dynamic characteristics under noise effect through DFSS study. CAE-based DOE is performed to build prediction math model, CMS process involves DOE to achieve very fast run times while giving results very comparable. Minimized 95th percentile of performance distribution is applied to minimize vehicle sensitivity and road noise levels variation during the optimization process. Finally, the results of optimization were reviewed for performance and robustness.

Growth mode of ZnO nonostructure grown by MOCVD (MOCVD로 저온 성장된 ZnO 나노구조의 성장 모드)

  • 기능성 나노소자를 구현할 수 있는 나노 소재로 0차원 구조의 양자점(quantum dot)과 1차원 구조의 양자선 및 나노선(nanorod)이 제안되고 있다. 나노선의 경우 나노스케일의 dimension, 앙자 제한 효과, 탁월한 결정성, self-assembly, internal stress등 기존의 벌크형 소재에서 발견할 수 없는 새로운 기능성이 나타나고 있어서 바이오, 에너지, 구조, 전자, 센서 등의 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 현재 국내외적으로 널리 연구되고 있는 나노선으로는 Si 및 Ge, $SnO_2$, SiC, ZnO 등이 있으며 특히, ZnO는 우수한 물리적 전기적 특성과 함께 나노선으로의 합성이 비교적 쉬워 주목받고 있는 재료이다. ZnO의 합성방법으로는 thermal CVD, MOCVD, PLD, wet-chemistry 등 다양한 방법이 사용되고 있다. 특히 MOCVD 법은 수직 정렬된 ZnO 나노막대를 합성하기가 매우 용이하다. 본 실험에서는 자체개발된 MOCVD 장비를 이용한 일차원 ZnO 나노선을 성장하였다. 이러한 ZnO 나노선의 성장은 사파이어 기판과 실리콘 기판 위에서 이루어졌으며 기판의 종류와 격자상수 불일도에 따른 상이한 성장과정을 온도에 따른 나노선 성장에서 관찰할 수 있었다. 사파이어 기판의 경우, 240도의 온도에서는 박막형상을 지닌 ZnO가 온도가 320도 이상으로 상승하면서 나노선으로 변함을 보였고, 실리콘 기판의 경우 380도 이상에서 기울기률 가진 나노선을 관찰하였으며, 420도에서는 나노선을 관찰 할 수 없었다. 또한 PL 장비를 이용한 PL 강도와 성장과정을 연관하여 생각하였을 때, 나노선의 기물기가 PL 강도비과 연관성을 가진다는 것을 측정을 통해 확인하였다.
