The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze Jacqueline Kennedy and Michelle Obama's fashion style from a perspective of modernism and postmodernism. The method utilized in this study was first, to examine the properties of modernism and postmodernism. Next, we explored the types of role performance of the first ladies and the application of their fashion as an aid to their roles through the precedents of the research concerning modernism and postmodernism. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was a trend of formalism and anti-formalism. Jacqueline Kennedy made her public appearances wearing a formal dress in order to express the first lady's authoritarian figure of restrained elegance. The fashion of the first lady aspired to formalism. Meanwhile, Michelle Obama followed more of a free style by eschewing the typical formality of the first lady. She created diverse styles utilizing a variety of items, which were not interrupted by form or by using heterogeneous items. Second, there is a trend of elitism and populism. While Jacqueline Kennedy preferred only haute couture designers' costume in order to show the prestige and dignity of the upper class, Michelle Obama patronized unknown designers' clothing or mid-level casual brand goods that the public favors in order to interact with the public through her fashion. Third, while modernism regards totality or unity to be important, postmodernism puts an emphasis on the eclecticism by pursuing complexity and diversity through the deconstruction of an indigenous genre. In case of Jacqueline Kennedy, this tendency featured monotone clothing color, which presented a unified full set dress that excluded decoration. Michelle Obama, in contrast, mixed and matched formal dresses and a casual cardigan or felicitously mixed luxury brand or low to middle priced brand goods.

실내 공간은 공간의 특수성으로 인하여 질료로서 결정되는 허공간으로 이 공간이 쓰임새가 가치를 결정한다. 따라서 실내가 형성하는 공간의 추상성과 각 요소들이 연합하여 하나의 공간을 이루는 특이성 있는 공간을 형성한다. 그러므로 표현되는 어휘와 상징체계는 다분히 전체성의 특징을 갖는다. 본 연구는 포스트모더니즘 경향의 실내를 언어의 과학성을 기초로 하여 상징체계를 전체성으로 분석함에 있다. 내용은 크게 3부분으로 나뉘어진다. 제 1장에서는 서론 부분, 제 2장에서는 실내디자인의 특징, 제 3에서는 어휘와 코드의 정의, 어휘가 가지고 있는 상징성과 포스트모더니즘 실내를 성격 짓는 언어학적 은유의 내용을 고찰하였으며, 제 4장에서는 포스트모더니즘 실내디자인의 일반적인 특성과 이 특징을 이루고 있는 실내요소들 중에 근간을 이루는 전통성과 장식성 대중성을 이루는 데 필요한 실내 어휘들의 언어 성을 어휘, 코드, 은유를 중심으로 분류하였다. 끝으로 제 5장에서는 찰스 젱크스(Charles Jencks)의 시 메틱 하우스(Thematic House)서재 실내 공간을 하나의 모델로 선정하여 언어학적 분석하였다.

Planning a major change in the domestic residential complex 'complex' in the 'city' to the influx of urban space. So, considering a set of self-environmental complex of openness and connectivity between cities inflow from residential urban housing is formed. Complex-oriented development approach and apartment high-rise and high-density regions of space and social disconnection that causes a uniform methodology that can solve the problem of housing plan, however, a recent New Urbanism New Urbanism has been introduced. And intravenous forms of communal life that occurred in the United States prior to World War II, this value is based on the main form. Design reorganizes This modern lifestyle factors (such as housing, jobs, shopping, leisure space) to go back to the traditional lifestyles while Neotradiotional Planning exercise. New Urbanism in the late 20th century, some literature refers to a postmodern approach adopted in the field of urban planning, the specific case. Actually important feature of post-modernism in the New Urbanism has been expressed. Problem is very confusing, and the principles of New Urbanism, New Urbanism, even those who claim that have different social and design views. Therefore, this study explores the postmodern tendencies of the New Urbanism, and based on this, the possibilities for the development of new towns in Korea mainly affected on the theory of New Urbanism in South Korea in Eunpyeong examine.

This study has outlined and summarized academic meaning of formative characteristics of Organic Modernism represented by various aspects of design, art, industry and architecture, then has intented to define concept of Organic Modernism Fashion. Eventually, this study is to make a analysis of formative characteristics of Organic Modernism Fashion Design. Based on example of Organic Modernism applied to architectural structure, industrial products and pure paintings, this study has analyzed and researched into formative characteristics of Organic Modernism represented by fashion design. As a consequence of study, its characteristics are defined as below; The first, the beauty of simple formation using delicate curve. The second, the expression of symbolic formation based on surrealism. The third, the expression of continuous 3-dimensional curved surface. And the last characteristic is a providing transformable multi-function. Through those characteristics mentioned above, it may be expected to define a concept of Organic Modernism Fashion Design newly and to set a precedent for providing a basic criteria to classify formative characteristics of Organic Modernism Fashion Design.

애니메이션은 끈임 없는 리얼리티의 변형을 시도하며 발전해 왔다. 애니메이션의 그러한 시도가 사회문화현상 중 하나인 포스트모더니즘이란 문화적 특징 속에서 어떻게 리얼리티를 표현하고 변화되며 발전되었는가를 연구하게 될 필요가 있었다. 그 연구를 위해 애니메이션 매체의 특성과 포스트모더니즘의 특징을 알아보고자 하였다. 또한, 그것을 근거로 포스트 모더니즘의 특징이 애니메이션에 나타난 리얼리티와 어떻게 연관되는지를 알아보고 그 특징을 애니메이션작품을 통해 분석하고 적절히 표현되어지고 있는지를 연구하였다. 그리하여, 자연스럽게 포스트모더니즘의 영향을 받은 애니메이션은 리얼리티를 표현하기 위해서 다음과 같은 특징을 유추할 수 있었다. 첫째, 장 보드리야르의 이론을 바탕으로 한 애니메이션에 나타난 시뮬라시옹 이론이다. 둘째와 셋째는 포스트모더니즘의 일반적 특징을 바탕으로 한 마스터 나레이션의 붕괴에 의한 절대적인 선과 악의 관계에 대한 이분법적 결말의 해체이다. 그리고 장르의 통합으로 인한 기술적 리얼리티의 극사실주의(Hyper-Reality)이다. 이러한 이론적 바탕과 특징을 가지고 본 연구는 극장용 애니메이션 중 애니매트릭스의 작품분석을 통해 어떻게 포스트모던 리얼리티가 표현되어지고 재해석되어지는지를 논의해보고자 한다.

현대 타이포그래피 발전의 토대는 정확한 의미전달을 위한 형태적 기능성과 합리성에 가치를 두었던 모더니즘과 스위스국제타이포그래피 시대에 걸쳐 이루어 졌다. 그러나 포스트모더니즘으로 넘어가면서 타이포그래피의 합리적인 기능성 보다 미학적 혹은 관념적인 부분까지 확대 해석되어야 한다는 의견이 유행하였다. 실제로 포스트모더니즘의 대표적인 그래픽디자이너로 꼽히는 댄 프리드먼이나 에이프릴 그레이먼의 작품들은 모더니즘 시대의 작품들과 달리 그래픽디자인도 때로는 자율적인 예술표현의 매체가 될 수 있음을 보여 주었다. 그 변화의 처음에 볼프강 바인가르트가 있었다. 그가 보여준 타이포그래피의 개념 확장을 위한 다채로운 시도는 훗날 '뉴웨이브' 발달에 커다란 영향을 끼쳤으며 그의 실험주의 정신은 오늘날 타이포그래피의 기능성과 조형성 표현에 획기적인 가치변화를 주었다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 그의 선구자적 역할에 대한 가치평가가 아닌 그의 작품에 표현된 타이포그래피의 이론적 배경과 그에 따른 실험적 방법에 대하여 고찰하고자 한다. 이는 바인가르트의 작품배경이 포스트모더니즘의 작가주의적 견해에서 비롯된 것이 아닌 구문론적 이론에 근거한 타이포그래피의 개념 확장을 위한 것임을 재조명하고자 한다.
