A Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) is a promising infrastructure for the future U-healthcare system. In a WSN for the U-healthcare system, both biometric data and location data are transferred hierarchically from lots of mobile patients to the base station server and some countermeasures are made in real time if necessary. In this process, we encounter the load-balancing problem when many patients gather in a specific area. We also encounter the data duplication problem when each patient moves into an area monitored by several supervisors. The second problem is closely related to the first one. In this paper, we propose a mobile patient monitoring system with priority-based policy in load-balancing to solve the previous two problems and perform a DEVS Java-based system simulation to verify the system efficiency.

This study was designed to evalulate the biological activity, particularly induction of IgA in primary Peyer's patches cells, of herbal medicines for a long time in Asia. Among fifty four herbal medicines tested, Ephedra sinica, Magnolia officinalis, Lonicera japonica and Lithospermum erythorhizon induced IgA production. The polar and high molecular weight component in Ephedra sinica was capable of inducing IgA in primary Peyer's patches cells. Therefore, we suggest that some herbal medicines could use for the treatment of food allergy.

Investigate the epidemics for influenza outbreaks. The outbreak pattern of the internal patients housed in the 10 designated hospitals was monitered to investigate and the characteristics of the virus isolates are as follows. 232 strains of influenza virus was isolated from the oral specimen of 1,320 respiratory disease patients in Pusan from Oct. 1998 to Jun. 1999. Among these isolates, 222 strains were A-type and the rest were B-type. The outbreak pattern for sex-and age-groups is as follows. The male outbreak was similar to the female outbreak: male outbreak, 47.4% and female outbreak, 52.5%. Most of the patients were less than 10 years old. The monthly influenza outbreak was consistent from Dec. 1998 to Apr. 1999. and The 113 strains from the A-type isolates were A/ Sydney/05/97(H3N2)-like, the 109 strains were A/Beijing/262/95(H1N1)-like, and all of the 10 B-type isolates were B/Harbin/07/94-like.

This paper presents designing method to reduce the noise and vibration in the wine refrigerator. To improve the noise and gas pulsation of the compressor the silencer is designed. Base plate of the refrigerator is modified to reduce the vibration by the modal testing. By applying the spring grommet, we can reduce the transmission of the refrigerator of the compressor. We measure PWL and the vibration of LG wine refrigerator and a different wine cellar. As the result of the evaluation, we can rightly take pride in the worldwide recognition of LG wine refrigerator

This paper deals with the Performance Based Logistics(PBL) application scheme pertaining to optimal maintenance program for logistics of Korean Fighter Experimental(KF-X) Project. For enhancement of the performance based logistics system application to KF-X program the selection of appropriate standards fit to maximize cost-cutting, a set of performance metrics fit for the purpose of the contract, foreign technology dependence of core equipments and parts were considered. Thus, selecting appropriate standards fit for Korean logistics environment, domestic maintenance enterprise for stable rate of operation of KF-X, a systematic reliability task that is able to measure quantitative combat capability are suggested.

The outbreak patterns of the internal and external and external patients in the 20 designated hospitals and in 16 health centers were monitored to investigate and the characteristics of the virus isolates were as follows. 현재 개발되어 사용되고 있는 원격의료시스템은 3계층기반의 구조를 이루고 있는데 환자들이 집중적으로 몰리는 지역에서 심각한 bottleneck현상이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 3계층기반 원격의료시스템의 성능을 분석하고 bottleneck 현상을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 hyper-torus 구조의 4계층 아키텍처를 제안하고 Architecture Description Language인 Acme를 이용하여 성능을 비교분석 한다.

Existing premises telecommucation wiring ad been installed for efficient telephone service. But premises wiring is currently ready to be reused as media for wideband digital services and Fiber-to-the-curb architecture. Electrical properties of premises wiring link have not characateized above frequencies for voice service. Accurte measurement of these characteristics are exssential for studies fof wideband ditital transmission system. On the other hand, the transmission qualities of premises wiring have been known to be worst in telecommunications access networks. So the knowledge of premises wiring sturucture as well as electrical properties is needed to improve the performance of premises wiring. In this paper, the structure of premises wiring is described in detail and electrical characteristics (characteristic impedance, SRL, attnuation, NEXT) about premises cables and stelecommucations link of representative apartment complex sare measured and naalyzed ove r16MHz range which is UTP Cat3 bandwidth.

본 연구에서는 유체스시템을 이용하여 나이론을 용제 개질하므로써 천연실크가 갖는 적당한 촉감과 광택을 가지면서 견명(silk scrooping)의 효과와 천연 silk 특유의 "노방"(여름 의류의 얇은 명주)촉감이 발현되며 심색성과 흡습성 그리고 제전성등의 물성이 뛰어난 기능성 실크감성화 소재 개발에 관한 연구를 하고자한다. 또한 이러한 용제 개질은 제직준비공정에서의 사이징공정이 생략되며 개질처리가 사가공 기계에서 on-line으로 되므로 (목표처리속도 : 600m-800m/분)대량 생산이 가능하여 개질 가공비가 저렴한 장점을 가진다. 또한 본 연구에서 개발되는 나일론 원사의 유체시스템을 이용한 용제 개질 기술은 선을 물리적으로 표층부에서 밀착시킴으로써 내부에 microcavity를 형성하여 여러가지 종류의 기능성 약제를 캡슐화(capsulation)하여 내포시킬수 있어서 항균무취성, 방오성, 난연성, 자외선차폐성 등의 다양한 기능을 추가로 부여할 수 있기 때문에 그 중요성이 더욱 크다고 할 수 있다. 나아가서는 나일론 원사외의 타소재 섬유에 대하여서도 이러한 유체시스템을 이용한 용제 개질기술의 적용이 가능할 것으로 보여서 기존의 가공방식과 전혀 다른 새로운 개념의 실크감성화 선가공기술 확립이 기대되고 있다.이 기대되고 있다.

Life history, ginseng damage, and chemical control of the snail Acusta despecta sieboldiana Pfeiffer were investigated in the field and laboratory conditions from 1987 to 1990. Eggs of the snail were whitish globular and 1.,93${\pm}$ 0.09 mm in diameter which were deposited as egg mass composed of 28.4${\pm}$ 15.4 eggs. Egg period was 11.8${\pm}$ 1.6 days under the laboratory condition. Most eggs were laid during mid July in the field. The snail had a life cycle of a year and hibernated from November to April. Significant ginseng damages by the snail (over 10% to the total number of plants) were observed only in the three to five year old ginseng fields with rice straw mulching. Based on the dates that the first ginseng damages were observed and on the questionary examination, ginseng damages seemed to occur from May to July. Metaldehyde (6%) bait showed reliable control effects on the snail.
