  • This paper is a study on the development of optimal control system for lighting and air conditioning equipment to save the energy in campus environment. In the case of controling system developed through this research, lighting and air conditioner are controlled by both information on the number of people entering and leaving the room through the motion sensor and image processing, and the information on temperature and humidity. In addition, energy saving is enabled by the results that are controlled through data integration monitoring and command execution functions according to the control signals.

  • This paper describes design and implementation of caption-processing ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuits) for OSD(On Screen Display) of karaoke system. The OSD of conventional karaoke system was implemented by a general purpose DSP, however this paper suggest a design to save hardware resources. The ASIC receives commands and data of graphic and caption from host processor, and then modifies the data to have various graphic effects. The design has been done by schematic and VHDL coding. The design was verified by logic simulation and FPGA emulation on the real system. The chip was fabricated with 0.8${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS SOG, and worked properly at the karaoke system.

  • Digital communication is important for reliability and mobilization of the multi-channel communication systems. Transmitting and receiving data for the mobilization should be possible in anywhere and in anytime. And this system must be designed light weight small size and low power. One are essential technology for implementing the mobile wireless communication system on the age of ubiquotos. Requirements in constructing such communication field are followings. At first data transmitting and receiving should be carried out by a simple command. Second, the device should be designed as hand-hold type and low power consumption. Third, data communication should be reliable. As one of examples, car to car system which is popular in the market is introduced here, All traffic information in highway is transmitted from one car to another by using this system which can prevent possible traffic accident. This paper shows the design of a digital data communication system with CC1020 chip. This CC1020 makes easy frequency selection and easy switch from the transmit mode to the receive mode by simple setting of a memory register in the chip. The transmit power of this system is designed 10dBm and its communication range is about 100m. The power supplied this system is 3V considered as low power. The sleep mode can be easily entered during transmit mode or receive mode. We shows the program algorithm of CC1020 and interface circuit between MCU and CC1020. We shows the Photo of the CC1020 Module and Atmega128 Module.. We analysed the receiver rate with this system.

Development of biological signal optical transmission system (생체신호처리용 광전송시스템 개발)

  • The development of CMOS IC chip and external system with optical transmission sytem is proposed in this paper, which deal with 4 subject 4 channel biological signals, receive and transmit biological signals to the external system using LED and infrared light of photodiode. This system decreases the dependency of power supply voltage to the COMS IC chip. A newenforce synchronization technique using infrared bi-directional communication has ben proposed. The telemetner IC with the size of $5.1{\times}5.1mm^2$ has the followingfunctions:receiving of command signal, initialization of internal state of all functional blocks, decoding of subject selection signal, time division multiplexing of 4-channel modulated biological signals, transmission of modulated signals to external system, and auto power down control. To confirm the total telemetry system, electrocardogram is transmitted and received to the external system using optical link.

  • This paper proposes the AMCS(Agricultural Machine Control System that distinguishes farms using satellite photos or drone photos of farms and controls the self-driving and operation of farm drones and tractors. The AMCS consists of the LSM(Local Server Module) which separates farm boundaries from sensor data and video image of drones and tractors, reads remote control commands from the main server, and then delivers remote control commands within the management area through the link with drones and tractor sprinklers and the PSM that sets a path for drones and tractors to move from the farm to the farm and to handle work at low cost and high efficiency inside the farm. As a result of AMCS performance analysis proposed in this paper, the PSM showed a performance improvement of about 100% over Dijkstra algorithm when setting the path from external starting point to the farm and a higher working efficiency about 13% than the existing path when setting the path inside the farm. Therefore, the PSM can control tractors and drones more efficiently than conventional methods.

  • 수치연산 보조프로세서로도 알려져 있는 부동 소수점 연산장치(FPU)는 컴퓨터가 사용하는 기본 마이크로프로세서보다 더 빠르게 숫자를 다를 수 있는 특별한 회로 설계 또는 마이크로프로세서를 말한다. FPU는 전적으로 대형 수학적 연산에만 초점을 맞춘 특별한 명령 셋을 가지고 있어서 그렇게 빠르게 계산을 수행할 수 있는 것이다. FPU는 오늘날의 거의 모든 PC에 장착되고 있지만, 실은 그것은 그래픽 이미지 처리나 표현 등과 같은 특별할 일을 수행할 때에 필요하다. 초창기 컴퓨터 회사들은 각기 다른 연산방식을 사용했다. 이에 따라 연산결과가 컴퓨터마다 다른 문제점을 해결하기 위해 IEEE에서는 부동 소수점에 대한 표준안을 제안하였다. 이 표준안은 IEEE Standard 754 이며, 오늘날 인텔 CPU 기반의 PC, 매킨토시 및 대부분의 유닉스 플랫폼에서 컴퓨터 상의 실수를 표현하기 위해 사용하는 가장 일반적인 표현 방식으로 발전하였다. 본 논문에서는 부동 소수점 표준안 중 32-bit 단일 정밀도 부동 소수점 가산기를 VHDL로 구현하여 FPGA칩으로 다운하고 PCI 인터페이스를 통해 Visual C++로 데이터의 입출력을 검증하였다.

  • Flight software plays an important role in operating satellites, such as processing commands from ground station, controlling satellites and processing mission data. Reliability is the most important thing in flight software and many verifications and tests are needed for assuring it. this causes an increase of cost and period of development. So NASA has developed a reusable flight software platform to apply to their satellite projects. The CFS(Core Flight System) is the very result. We are developing our flight software for a nano-satellite based on NASA CFS. We have tested core services and functions provided in CFS and we have designed and implemented flight software based on these.

  • In this paper, we describes the design and implementation of real-time management system for efficient operation via monitoring and control of MCC(Motor Control Center). The real-tine management system can be divided hardware(MCC panel) and software(management program). First, hardware is divided into load attaching motor and MCC components for working together control and data network. Second, software(management system) are consisted of communication interface, environment setting, data processing modules. The produced and implemented reduction model of MCC panel is pretested using m-PRO, iM-PRO devices, and HyperTerminal. For field test, MCC panel is tested by RS-232C/485, communication procedure in management system is certified by transmitting and receiving message using control command. By the experimental results, the implemented real-time management system can be used to operate MCC system.

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) that are piloted without human pilots can be commanded remotely via frequencies or perform pre-inputted missions. UAVs have been mainly used for military purposes, but due to the development of ICT technology, they are now widely used in the private sector. Teal Group's 2014 World UAV Forecast predicts that the UAV market will grow by 10% annually over the next decade, reaching $ 12.5 billion by 2023. However, because UAVs are primarily remotely controlled, if a malicious user accesses a remotely controlled UAV, it could seriously infringe privacy and cause financial loss or even loss of life. To solve this problem, a secure channel must be established through mutual authentication between the UAV and the control center. However, existing security techniques require a lot of computing resources and power, and because communication distances, infrastructure, and data flow are different from UAV networks, it is unsuitable for application in UAV environments. To resolve this problem, the study presents a lightweight UAV authentication method based on Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) that requires less computing resources in the ground Control and Non-Payload Communication (CNPC) environment, where recently, technology standardization is actively under progress.

A Design and Implementation of ZigBee Educational System in USN Environment (USN환경에서 교육용 ZigBee 장비의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper has designed and realized educational ZigBee equipment befitting to the USN environment. In addition, this study has enabled users to exercise operation process for software technology education and to propose software design methods in the process in the USN environment through practice equipment for ZigBee education. As for the development environment of system, Atmega128 process of Atmel is used for CPU; AVR compiler for the debugging environment; C language for firmware development language; and C++ for application program. The system operation process is initiated by coordinator's sensing information reading order from the hyper terminal through a server through the Internet or directly connected; and then delivering it to a terminating device by using ZigBee technology. The terminating device delivers various sensing information to the coordinator which delivers it to a server through the Internet or to a HYPER terminal directly connected to the coordinator. As for the educational course, it is about practices on such ZigBee operation process and relevant programing skills. Regarding it, the communication between coordinator and terminating device is designed by utilizing physical layer of ZigBee protocol, MAC layer and network layer while the communication between server and coordinator is designed by proposing an independent protocol on TCP/IP socket and the protocol processing procedure during sensing data delivery is verified by interpretation.
