Mechanism Design Using a Mechanism Configuration Method (메커니즘 합성을 통한 기계설계)

  • Analysis method for mechanism has been fully developed and relatively easy work compared to mechanism synthesis. Developing or creating a new mechanism for a given task is a creative job. In this case, a few theories are developed such as type synthesis. However, these methods are not sufficient for mechanism designers to sufficientely take into account alternative mechanism models during the initial phase of the mechanism design process. This paper presents the configuration design of mechanisms using graphical representation in the conceptual design stage. In this stage of kinematic synthesis, one needs to select mechanisms and configure appropriately to realize the desired motion of a machine. Graphical representation of mechanisms is proposed in this paper to help a designer to be highly creative and efficient in the initial design process. It is possible to easily design and analyze the mechanism of a machine by using this method.

Adaptive and Strict Packet Dropping Mechanism for the Congestion Control of AF Packets in Differentiated Service (차별화 서비스에서 AF 패킷의 혼잡제어를 위한 적응적 엄격 패킷 폐기 메커니즘)

  • Adaptive and Strict Packet Dropping mechanism we proposed in this paper drops adaptively packets for the congestion control, as predicting traffic pattern between each cycle. Therefore the proposed mechanism makes up for the drawback of RIO mechanism and minimizes the wastes of the bandwidth being capable of predicting in Dynamic and Strict Packet Dropping (DSPD) mechanism. And we executed a simulation and analyzed the throughput and packet drop rate based on the Sending Drop Precedence changing dynamically depending on the network traffic and compared RIO and the DSPD. The results show that the proposed mechanism provides better performance on drop precedence levels and stricter drop precedence policy for AF class than RIO and the DSPD mechanism.

The Study Fire Mechanism and Real Fire Correlation of Power Condenser (전력용 콘덴서의 화재메커니즘과 실제 화재상관관계 연구)

  • This research discusses the correlation about fire mechanism based on real fire cases. Electric power condenser failure mechanism is classified into 7 steps and fire mechanism is classified into 12 steps. In the 5th step, the procedure of operating a protection channel of a protection relay was identical in the case of the failure and fire. As the fire occurrence mechanism was applied from the 6th step, internal pressure was increased because of gas generation produced by internal combustion phenomenon and arc. This caused explosion in 10st step of fire occurrence mechanism. In 11th step, the flame such as arc gushed out with insulating oil which caused fire and leaded to second accident. This kind of step correlation could play an important part to examine fire.

  • This article explores on the deploying of game rating system in the context of whole game governance. Rating system is critical apparatus of game policy because it works as a kind of counterweight between different actors. We analyse to apply the three form of governmentality by Faucault. Rating system can be commonly considered as security mechanism. Korean rating system has hoped to be so but its effect was not actually. We should see why that system evolve to disciplinary mechanism, not toward security mechanism. Sound governance shows to be ensure all actors to participate its procedures practically, through constituting more rich discourse.

  • As the gaming industry grows, the need to understand and study on game Addiction and overindulgence have also grown. For this object, in this study, the author first studied how game elements and game mechanisms were categorized by using previous studies. As a result, game elements are divided into three elements that compose visual, competitive, and probability elements. And the game mechanisms that establish three elements were grouped into subcategories. Risk of competitive and visual element that effect on overindulgence is depended on what mechanism has used. But, in the probability element, Gambling mechanism must be viewed in terms of addiction, not overindulgence.

  • Recently, lots of users are using wireless LAN providing authentication and confidentiality with security mechanism such as WEP, WPA. But, weakness of each security mechanism was discovered and attack methods that user's information was exposed or modified to the third parties with it and abused by them were suggested. In this paper, we analyzed architecture of security mechanisms in wireless LAN and performed PSK cracking attack and cookie session hijacking attack with the known vulnerability. And, an improved 4-way handshake mechanism which can counter PSK cracking attack and a cookie replay detection mechanism which can prevent cookie session hijacking attack were proposed. Proposed mechanisms are expected to apply to establish more secure wireless LAN environment by countering existing vulnerability.

  • 본 논문에서는 자바의 샌드박스 개념을 이용하여 실행되는 프로그램에 제한을 가하고 모니터링을 수행함으로써 악의적인 행위를 방지하는 샌드박스 메커니즘을 제안한다. 또한 시스템 자원을 논리적 자원과 물리적 자원으로 분리하여 트로이목마 프로그램의 자원에 대한 불법적인 접근을 감시하여 기밀성(Confidentiality)과 무결성(Integrity)을 보장할 뿐만 아니라 물리적인 자원 사용량을 제한하여 DOS 공격에 대한 방지와 같이 가용성(Availability)까지 고려하는 샌드박스 메커니즘을 제안하고, 리눅스 커널 2.4.19에 샌드박스 메커니즘을 구현한다.

  • 본 논문은 이동 환경에서 전이 메커니즘을 통한 이동성 관리 방법으로서, 확장된 NAT-PTㆍ메커니즘을 설계하고, 요구 사항들에 대해 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 메커니즘은 이동 환경에서 이동 노드의 이동 여부를 감지하고, 이동시 생성되는 의탁 주소를 동적으로 가져와, 이동 노드와의 연결성을 유지할 수 있도록 제안한다. 그리하여, 과장된 NAT-PT는 상대 노드와 이동 노드 사이의 터널링을 감소시킴으로써, 두 노드간 통신의 효율성을 증가시킬 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 리브로 보강된 내진 철골 모멘트 접합부의 응력전달 메커니즘을 검토하였다. 리브보강 접합부의 응력전달 메커니즘은 고전 휨이론에 의한 예측과 전혀 다르다. 일반적으로 구조 기술자가 리브를 사용할 경우 단면이차모멘트의 증가에 따른 휨응력의 감소효과를 기대하는 것이 보통이다. 그러나 리브는 구조기술자들이 통상 가정하는 휨응력 전달요소라기 보다는 리브 구배 방향의 스트럿 요소로 기능하여 휨응력 외에도 전달응력을 전달한다. 리브를 스트럿 요소로 파악할 때 응력전달 메커니즘을 올바로 파악할 수 있으며 이를 기초로 합리적 설계법의 정립이 가능하다.

  • MPI는 분산 환경에서 동작하는 병렬 프로그램을 작성하기 위한 표준을 제안하고 있다. 기존의 MPICH는 운영체제가 제공하는 통신 메커니즘 위에 MPI 고유의 통신 메커니즘을 구현하고 있다. 운영체제를 경유하는 통신 메커니즘은 자료 송수신이 많은 분산 프로그램의 성능에 상당한 오버헤드로 작용된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 운영체제를 경유하지 않고도 분산 시스템간의 통신이 가능하도록 사용자 수준의 통신 메커니즘을 제공하는 VIA에 기반을 둔 MPI를 제안한다.
