MPIRace-Check V 1.0: A Tool for Detecting Message Races in MPI Parallel Programs (MPIRace-Check V 1.0: MPI 병렬 프로그램의 메시지경합 탐지를 위한 도구)

  • Message races should be detected for debugging effectively message-passing programs because they can cause non-deterministic executions of a program. Previous tools for detecting message races report that message races occur in every receive operation which is expected to receive any messages. However message races might not occur in the receive operation if each of messages is transmitted through a different logical communication channel so that their incorrect detection makes it a difficult task for programmers to debug programs. In this paper we suggest a tool, MPIRace-Check, which can exactly detect message races by checking the concurrency between send/receive operations, and by inspecting the logical communication channels of the messages. To detect message races, this tool uses the vector timestamp to check if send and receive operations are concurrent during an execution of a program and it also uses the message envelop to inspect if the logical communication channels of transmitted messages are the same. In our experiment, we show that our tool can exactly detect message races with efficiency using MPI_RTED and a benchmark program. By detecting message races exactly, therefore, our tool enables programmers to develop reliable parallel programs reducing the burden of debugging.

  • At the present, Short Messaging Transfer Protocol Standard described under TIA/EIA/IS-637-A does not cover the measures for security at all. Sequentially, in case of necessity, it seems to be a better idea that security functions are made up for current short messaging transfer protocol. This paper proposes security mechanisms including algorithms and protocols for Short Messaging Services(SMS) which present not only high levels of confidentiality and integrity but also appropriate level of authentication.

  • CASE도구의 일부로 제공되는 기존의 문서화 도구들은 개발자들을 위한 편리한 기능을 제공했지만, 문서화 참여자들 사이의 협동작업 및 정보교환을 효과적으로 지원해 주지 못했다. 협동작업 환경 및 정보교환 도구 지원의 미비로 인한 문서화 참여자들 사이의 의사소통 부족은 문서 사이의 불일치(Inconsistency), 누락(Incompleteness), 애매모호함(Ambiguity)을 발생시킨다. 소프트웨어 문서가 사용자 및 개발자를 위한 중요한 자료로 활용되기 위해서 협동 문서화 작업 환경의 구축과 정보 교환 도구의 지원은 필수적인 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 문서 상태와 사건을 중심으로 한 문서화 프로세스를 정의하고 문서 변경이나 삭제가 발생했을 경우, 이를 탐지하여 자동으로 개발자들에게 메시지를 보내주는 메시지 에이전트(Message Agent) 기반의 협동 문서화 작업 환경을 제안한다. 협동 문서화 작업 환경은 여러 명의 문서화 참여자들이 서로의 문서를 공유하며 작업할 수 있는 환경을 제공하며, 메시지 에이전트를 통한 메시지의 자동 전송으로 문서화 도중에 개발자가 직접 메시지를 작성하던 번거로움을 줄이고 문서의 질적인 향상을 기할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Analysis of the Contents of Anti-Smoking Advertisement (금연공익광고의 메시지 유형 분석)

  • The study analyzed the characteristics of anti-smoking advertisements in Korea and examined if these characteristics were appropriate in terms of their effects. 68 TV anti-smoking ads were content-analyzed, focusing on ad appeal, message frame, message orientation, communication goal, and ad type. According to research, TV anti-smoking ads in Korea used messages that had the following characteristics: First, physical type messages that emphasize the effects of smoking on health, second negative frame messages that show negative consequences of smoking, third self-oriented messages that emphasize the consequences of smoking on oneself, fourth messages that intend to change attitude toward the smoking, and fifth storytelling techniques. Based on the results of previous ansi-smoking ad effect research, practical implications were discussed to enhance the effectiveness of the nation's anti-smoking advertisements.

  • 본 연구에서는 항만물류를 위해 XML/EDI에 기반한 PORT-MIS 사용자시스템을 설계하고 구현한 방법을 소개한다. 이를 위해 먼저 기존의 EDI 메시지를 분석하여 EDI 메시지를 XML 문서로 변환하는 방법을 보이고 이 변환된 XML 문서를 처리하는 사용자시스템을 구현한 방법을 보인다. 본 XML 사용자시스템은 기존의 EDI 및 웹 EDI 에 비해 저렴한 비용으로 구축할 수 있고 융통성이 뛰어난 특징이 있다.

The Effects of Message Framing and Evidence Type on Obesity Prevention for Chinese Adolescents (메시지 프레이밍과 증거 유형에 따른 중국 청소년 비만예방 메시지 효과)

  • To develop prevention messages for increasingly severe adolescent obesity in China. this study tested interaction effects between obesity involvement and message framing, and between obesity involvement and evidence types on obesity prevention attitudes and behavioral intentions. Message framing types are categorized with a gain frame and a loss frame. Evidence types are classified into narratives based on personal experiences and statistics based on objective numerical proofs. Three hundred sixty eight Chinese adolescents participated in the study. Results found that involvement, framing, and evidence types had significant effects on attitudes and behavioral intentions to obesity prevention. Adolescents highly involved in obesity were more likely to show positive attitudes and behavioral intentions when exposed to loss framing and statistical evidence. Those with low involvement showed positive attitudes and behavioral intentions after exposed to gain framing and narratives. Thus, we suggest that loss frames with numerical data should be developed to persuade adolescents with high involvement, and gain frames with narratives should be developed for those with low involvement.

The Study on Receptive Attitude of Advertising Message Forms and Information Sources According to SNS' Type and Use Intensity (SNS 유형과 이용강도에 따른 광고 메시지 형태 및 정보원별 수용태도에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated what kind of message forms and information sources more effect according to SNS' type and use intensity. To this end, this study did experimental analysis using collected data by survey which manufactured message forms and situational contents of information sources. According to analysis results, the effect of message forms showed difference according to SNS' type and use intensity. Realistic message showed greater effect in interest-based SNS and high use intensity. Evaluative message showed greater effect in relation-based SNS regardless of use intensity. The effect of information sources showed difference according to SNS' type. Friend or college and knower showed greater effect in relation- based SNS, and company showed greater effect in interest-based SNS. In the case of use intensity, friend or college showed the greatest effect without difference. Such results can provide a practical contribution in planning SNS advertising strategy. Future Studies need to expand survey variously into SNS and subject.

A Protocol of TTP/C(timed token protocol with concession) for Real-Time Messages in Distributed Computing Environment (분산 컴퓨팅 환경에서 실시간 메시지 통신을 위한 TTP/C 프로토콜)

  • Messages in distributed real-time systems are categorized into two groups: synchronous messages and asynchronous messages. Synchronous messages, such as sampled audio and image data,are generated periodically with delivery time constraints. Protocols should guarantee the end-to-enddeadlines for such messages. Asynchronous messages are non-periodic and may arrive in a randomway with no strict time constraints.In this paper, we propose TTP/C(timed token protocol with concession), an extension of TTPprotocol, to achieve higher timeliness guarantee for synchronous messages in distributed real-timesystems. In TTP/C, a node concedes the allocated bandwidth to other nodes with urgent synchronousmessages to be sent provided that the node has no urgent messages, TTP/C works very well evenif the synchronous messages are generated with some jittering by nodes. The simulation results showthe improved performance of TTP/C protocol for guaranteeing synchronous messages deadlinescomeared to the existing TTP protocols.

  • 컴퓨터의 공손성은 사용자에게 심리적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구는 사용자와 에이전트의 상호작용에서 에이전트의 언어적 메시지에 사용된 공손전략과 에이전트에 대한 지각된 친밀성이 이 에이전트 평가, 사용자 경험, 메시지의 지각된 공손성에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 실험은 2(지각된 친밀성)${\times}2$ (적극적 공손 전략)${\times}2$ (소극적 공손 전략) 완전요인 설계로 실시되었다. 실험 결과, 사용자들은 에이전트가 적극적, 소극적 체면을 존중해 주는 공손 전략을 사용하였을 경우 에이전트를 보다 긍정적으로 평가하고 상호작용을 긍정적으로 경험하였으며, 메시지가 공손하다고 지각하였다. 또한 이러한 효과는 에이전트에 대한 지각된 친밀성 정도에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 친밀한 에이전트와 상호작용하였을 경우 적극적 체면을 위협하는 메시지의 부정적 효과가 완화되었으며 소극적 체면을 존중하는 간접적인 화법의 메시지보다 직접적으로 요구를 전달하는 소극적 체면을 위협하는 메시지가 긍정적으로 평가되었다. 이 결과는 에이전트 메시지에 공손전략을 부여하는 것이 에이전트에 대한 호의적 평가와 긍정적 사용자 경험을 이끌어낼 수 있음을 보여주는 것과 동시에 사용자와 에이전트의 관계 발달 정도에 따라 에이전트 메시지에 사용된 공손 전략의 설계가 변화해야 한다는 것을 시사한다.

  • This study scarcity of recent online message promotion limited quantity of messages and time the message is limited controlled variable message whose regulatory focus and promotional discounts depending on the presence of any differences in attitudes and purchase intention appears, was to verify empirically. The results of this study, first, if limited quantity of messages focus on prevention rather than focusing on messages promoting promotion attitudes and purchase intention was higher. Second, the scarcity message is simply, as well as adjust the focus, such as price discounts and promotional activities can be controlled by a variety of points were identified. If the message is particularly limited quantity discounts are not present, rather than the message, the message is presented when the discount promotional attitudes and purchase intention, except that the amplification has been demonstrated. If the message is limited time, however, these discounts are worth the extra promotion on attitudes and purchase intentions are least likely to affect the thing that was found.
