In this paper, we propose a fast collision detection method for interacting with objects in virtual space. First, in the mesh grouping step, the entire space is divided into small spaces of a predetermined size, and the positions and sizes of the smallest basic stereoscopic shapes (cube or sphere) including all of the meshes belonging to each small space are determined. In the collision detection step, it is checked whether a haptic interface point (HIP) is included in a three-dimensional figure representing a group. When a collision with a specific three-dimensional figure is confirmed, searching is performed only for the meshes in the group to find a mesh on which a possible real collision with HIP occurred. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by measuring and comparing the computation time of the proposed method with and without the proposed method.
Group communication in a wireless mesh network is complicated due to dynamic intermediate mesh points, access control for communications between different administrative domains, and the absence of a centralized network controller. Especially, many-to-many multicasting in a dynamic mesh network can be modeled by a decentralized framework where several subgroup managers control their members independently and coordinate the inter-subgroup communication. In this study, we propose a topology-matching decentralized group key management scheme that allows service providers to update and deliver their group keys to valid members even if the members are located in other network domains. The group keys of multicast services are delivered in a distributed manner using the identity-based encryption scheme. Identity-based encryption facilitates the dynamic changes of the intermediate relaying nodes as well as the group members efficiently. The analysis result indicates that the proposed scheme has the advantages of low rekeying cost and storage overhead for a member and a data relaying node in many-to-many multicast environment. The proposed scheme is best suited to the settings of a large-scale dynamic mesh network where there is no central network controller and lots of service providers control the access to their group communications independently.

It is difficult to support QoS service in existing MAC Protocols in Wireless Mesh Network environments. while DCF can not support QoS, EDCA is operated with prioritized channel access method but can not give full performance. This thesis proposes frame management method to support QoS in Multi-Media DCF(MMDCF) MAC Protocol working in wireless mesh network. MMDCF uses ACH phase in TDMA frame to perform selection and elimination. Prioritized phases's count m and Fair Elimination phases's count n determine contention level and make string probability to only one win the contention. Forced TDMA Frame release method can support QoS requirements. MMDCF results good performance and good channel efficiency to support QoS requirements better than EDCA in multimedia stream environments.

This paper presents a robust 3D model hashing based on object feature vector for 3D content authentication. The proposed 3D model hashing selects the feature objects with highest area in a 3D model with various objects and groups the distances of the normalized vertices in the feature objects. Then we permute groups in each objects by using a permutation key and generate the final binary hash through the binary process with the group coefficients and a random key. Therefore, the hash robustness can be improved by the group coefficient from the distance distribution of vertices in each object group and th hash uniqueness can be improved by the binary process with a permutation key and a random key. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed hashing has both the robustness against various mesh and geometric editing and the uniqueness.

Existing MAC protocol can not show good performance in WMN environment. New MAC protocols is proposed because of Mobile Point's mobility, entire distributed environment, heavy traffic problems. This thesis proposes new channel contention method fur Mesh DCF. Mesh DCF uses ACH phase in TDMA frame to perform selection and elimination. Prioritized phases's count m and Fair Elimination phases's count n is determine contention level and make string probability to only one win the contention. Contention Number group's count K to determine the contention level in Fair Elimination Phase gives Fairness but make low probability to only one win the contention. It is sure that enough size of n and K can improve entire performance as result.
Most of the existing multicast routing protocols for ad-hoc networks do not take into account the efficiency of the protocol for the cases when there are large number of sources in the multicast group, resulting in either large overhead or poor data delivery ratio when the number of sources is large. In this paper, we propose a multicast routing protocol for ad-hoc networks, which particularly considers the scalability of the protocol in terms of the number of sources in the multicast groups. The proposed protocol designates a set of sources as the core sources. Each core source is a root of each tree that reaches all the destinations of the multicast group. The union of these trees constitutes the data delivery mesh, and each of the non-core sources finds the nearest core source in order to delegate its data delivery. For the efficient operation of the proposed protocol, it is important to have an appropriate number of core sources. Having too many of the core sources incurs excessive control and data packet overhead, whereas having too little of them results in a vulnerable and overloaded data delivery mesh. The data delivery mesh is optimally reconfigured through the periodic control message flooding from the core sources, whereas the connectivity of the mesh is maintained by a persistent local mesh recovery mechanism. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol achieves an efficient multicast communication with high data delivery ratio and low communication overhead compared with the other existing multicast routing protocols when there are multiple sources in the multicast group.

Multicast is an important system-level one-to-many collective communication service. A key issue in designing software multicast algorithms is to consider the trade-off between performance and portability. Based on the LogP model, the proposed parameterized communication model can more accurately characterize the communication network of parallel platforms, Under the parameterized model, we propose an efficient architecture-independent method. OPT-tree algorithm, to construct optimal multicast trees and also investigate architecture-dependent tuning on performance of the multicast algorithm to achieve the truly optimal performance when implemented in real networks. Specifically, OPT-mesh which is the optimized version of the parameterized multicast algorithm for wormhole-switched mesh networks is developed and compared with two other well-known network-dependent algorithms.
In this study, we present a method for efficiently aggregating network state information. It is especially useful for aggregating links that have both delay and bandwidth in an asymmetric network. Proposed method reduces the information distortion of logical link by integration process after similar measure and grouping of logical links in multi-level topology transformation to reduce the space complexity. It is applied to transform the full mesh topology whose Service Boundary Line (SBL) serves as its logical link into a spanning tree topology. Simulation results show that aggregated information accuracy and query response accuracy are higher than that of other known method.
