맨체스터 시티는 영국의 한가운데 위치한 인구 70만의 도시다. 맨체스터 시티 주변에는 맨체스터를 생활권으로 하는 군소 도시들이 형성돼 있는데, 이러한 도시들과 맨체스터 시티를 합쳐 맨체스터(Greater Manchester)라는 광역 행정권을 형성한다. 맨체스터의 인구는 320만 정도로 영국에서 두 번째로 규모가 큰 도시다.

세계 182개국 6천만 태권도인들의 성지이자 대한민국의 자랑스러운 문화관광 유산이 될 태권도공원이 전라북도 무주군에 조성되고 있다. 맨체스터는 18세기 영국 산업혁명의 요충지였으나 후기산업사회로 넘어오면서 오래된 중공업 도시 이미지를 도시이미지가 후퇴하였다. 맨체스터는 이를 쇄신하기 위하여 장소마케팅 전략을 성공적으로 수행하였다. 대표적으로 맨체스터 유나이티드와 맨체스터 씨티를 보유한 세계 스포츠 축구팬들의 메카로 자리잡은 것이다. 태권도 공원은 특색있는 3개의 구역(체험공간, 수련공간, 상징공간)으로 나누어지고 있음을 알 수 있다.

Visible light communication (VLC) performs illumination and communication simultaneously, thus it is important to prevent the flicker due to the optical power variation during data transmission and at the same time to have dimming control capability. In this paper, we used Manchester code for flicker-prevention and dimming control. In the transmitter, the duty factor of the Manchester code was used for controlling the LED illumination. In the receiver, the edge-spike signals of an RC-high pass filter were used for recovering the Manchester code while preventing the adjacent noise light. In experiments, the LED light was kept flicker-free and the average optical power was controlled in the range of 8~68 % of the continuous wave (CW) LED light by changing the duty factor of the Manchester code.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial structure of laboring classes in Manchester in the 19th century. Manchester had districts where laboring classes lived in destitution. Elizabeth Gaskell's Mary Barton demonstrates the miserable state of laboring classes by depicting their small, dirty living residential spaces. Engels's The Condition of the Working Class in England analyzes the laboring classes in industrial areas in England, especially Manchester. The laboring classes' districts formed in a set pattern were separated from the area for bourgeois. It lied in the old district near commercial areas, while upper classes were outside areas. It was the dominant ideology that drove the transformation of Manchester as an industrial city characterized by separation.

.In this paper the efficient clock recovery algorithm is proposed to regenerate the manchester code at the system using the Manchester encoding scheme such as LAN. Mobile communication and digital communication systems. The proposed clock recovery circuit recovers the clock using the two times of the same original transmitted frequency can be completely recovered. The implementation of the proposed clock recovery circuit and the interpretation of test results prove the validity of the proposed algorithm.

This study's aim is for reducing big data transfer time of IoT healthcare devices by modulating digital bits into Manchester code including zero-voltage idle as information for secondary compressed binary cluster's compartment after two step compression of compressing binary data into primary and secondary binary compressed clusters for each binary clusters having compression benefit of 1 bit or 2 bits. Also this study proposed that as department information of compressed binary clusters, inserting idle signal into Manchester code will have benefit of reducing transfer time in case of compressing binary cluster into secondary compressed binary cluster by 2 bits, because in spite of cost of 1 clock idle, another 1 bit benefit can play a role of reducing 1 clock transfer time. Idle signal is also never consecutive because the signal is for compartment information between two adjacent secondary compressed binary cluster. Voltage transition on basic rule of Manchester code is remaining while inserting idle signal, so DC balance can be guaranteed. This study's simulation result said that even compressed binary data by another compression algorithms could be transferred faster by as much as about 12.6 percents if using this method.

축구스타 박지성이 에이즈 고아를 돕자는 메시지를 담아 촬영한 UNICEF(유엔아동기금) 캠페인 광고가 지난 7월 20일 서울월드컵경기장에서 열린 맨체스터 유나이티드와 FC서울의 친선경기에서 전광판을 통해 상영되어 많은 사람들의 눈길을 끌었다. 세계 곳곳에서는 많은 에이즈 홍보가 정부기관뿐만 아니라 비영리단체와 자원봉사자들에 의해 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 이번호에서는 월드비전의 "Stir the world!" 캠페인과 남아시아에이즈예방연맹의 홍보 캠페인을 살펴보자. 불구하고 말이다.

The number of abandoned dogs were increasing every year in South Korea. However, many dogs are euthanized in the shelter because of the lack of budget. This project predicts euthanasia of abandoned dogs using machine learning algorithm. It collects data from the public data portal where Korea government provides a public dataset as a form of open API. This project uses recent three-year data 2017 to 2019 and 263371 cases were founded. This project implements random forest and logistic regression models. This project attained an average 72% of prediction accuracy.

The threshold level of a receiver is analyzed for the simplification of system and the improvement of upstream data ratios in optical subscriber network of which the upstream date rate and the optical transmitted power are changed to meet the requested BER (Bit Error Rate) defined per interactive multimedia services. In asynchronous optical subscriber network of which the upstream to downstream data ratios are 1:1/2, 1:1/4, 1:1/8 and 1:1/16 with manchester coded downstream and NRZ (Non Return to Zero) downstream re-modulation, the BER performance is theoretically analyzed and it is performed by simulation with MATLAB according to the four types of downstream data for four models. The results have shown that in the cases which the upstream to downstream data ratios are 1:1/4, 1:1/8 and 1:1/16 the conventional receiver with threshold level of 1/2 can be applied regardless of average received optical powers and the BER is not much deteriorated compared with using the optimal threshold level. In the case that the upstream to downstream data ratio is 1:1/2 the threshold level in an optical receiver could be fixed at 1/3 and the BER is not much deteriorated compared with using the optimal threshold level as the average received optical power increases.

본 연구에서는 정보컨설팅시스템과 지식베이스 관리시스템을 이용하여 연구자에게 연구과제 단위로 정보를 제공해 주는 연구컨설팅시스템을 인터넷 웹상에서 구현하였다. 시스템 평가를 위해 먼저 정보컨설팅시스템에 대한 이용자의 만족도를 조사한 다음 본 시스템을 맨체스터대학의 NetEc와 문헌과 웹사이트 등을 조사하여 비교 분석해 보았다.
