With the rapid increase of Web Service sites, one emerging problem is how to find the most appropriate Services from the massive number of similar Web Services. A matchmaker is an agent system, which find the best Service providers for the given queries. In this paper, we propose a matchmaker for the distributed visual media retrieval framework, called HERMES, and describe how to rank the resulting Services based on the QoS elements related with visual media Services. To show the usefulness and correctness of the proposed schemes, some experimental results are also shown.

웹 애플리케이션 개발 방법으로 XML 기반의 웹 서비스가 부각됨에 따라 인터넷 상에 많은 웹 서비스들이 생성되었고 향후 보다 많은 웹 서비스들이 개발될 것으로 예상되고 있다. 이처럼 급속히 증가하는 웹 서비스들 중에서 사용자나 개발자가 원하는 적절한 웹 서비스를 검색하는 매치메이킹의 중요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이미지나 비디오와 같은 시각 미디어 서비스를 제공하는 웹 서비스를 대상으로 온톨로지 및 UDDI를 이용하여 관련된 웹 서비스를 탐색하는 매치메이커 구조를 제안한다. 온톨로지를 시각 미디어 서비스의 카테고리로 사용하여 웹 서비스를 분류하고, 각 서비스의 세부 사항 및 서비스 평가 항목을 UDDI에 저장하고 최종적으로 이를 평가하여 최적의 서비스를 결정하는 방법을 기술한다.

지능형 웹 서비스를 효과적으로 구현하기 위해서는 다양한 사용자들이 필요로 하는 데이터를 만족스럽게 제공할 수 있는 매치 메이킹의 구현이 중요한 과제이다. 이를 위한 관련 연구로 필터링 메커니즘을 제안하고 있는 LARKS, 브로커에이전트를 이용한 InfoSlueth, RDF 그래프 매칭 연구 및 DL 기반의 매칭 방법 등이 있다. 그러나 기존 연구들은 등급 개념을 가지는 유연한 검색 결과를 제공하지 못한다는 큰 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 기존 방법들을 개선하기 위한 노력으로서. 서비스 매치 메이킹의 결과들에 등급(랭킹)을 부터 하는 시맨틱 매치 메이커를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시맨틱 매치 메이커는 서비스 제공자와 서비스 요청자 사이의 유연한 매칭을 제공하여 지능형 웹 서비스를 효과적으로 수행 할 수 있게 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법론은 서비스 광고 및 요청을 표현하기 위한 언어로 DAML-S를 채택하였고. DAML-S의 서비스 프로파일 뿐만 아니라 프로세스 모델 온톨로지 모두를 고려하는 새로운 접근법이다.

Juels and Sudan's fuzzy vault scheme has been applied to various researches due to its error-tolerance property. However, the fuzzy vault scheme does not consider the difference between people's preferences, even though the authors instantiated movie lover' case in their paper. On the other hand, to make secure and high performance face authentication system, Nyang and Lee introduced a face authentication system, so-called fuzzy face vault, that has a specially designed association structure between face features and ordinary fuzzy vault in order to let each face feature have different weight. However, because of optimizing intra/inter class difference of underlying feature extraction methods, we can easily expect that the face authentication system does not successfully decrease the face authentication failure. In this paper, for ensuring the flexible use of the fuzzy vault scheme, we introduce the bucket structure, which differently implements the weighting idea of Nyang and Lee's face authentication system, and three distribution functions, which formalize the relation between user's weight of preferences and system implementation. In addition, we suggest a matchmaker scheme based on them and confirm its computational performance through the movie database.

인터넷망의 지속적인 발달과 더불어 웹서비스가 차지하는 비중은 매우 커지고 있다. 이와 관련해 서비스 발견을 위한 다양한 노력들이 진행되었으며. 그 중에서도 DAML-S문서로 기술된 매치메이커에서 제시한 알고리즘은 서비스 발견자와 서비스 제공자사이의 서비스 발견에 대한 유사도 측정의 한 방법을 제시하고 있다. 하지만 온톨로지상의 관계표현에 있어 네 가지 규칙만을 적용하여 정밀한 유사도 측정이 불가능하다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 알고리즘의 개선을 위해 두 가지 유사도 측정함수 1) 계층구조함수 2) 계층계수함수를 정의하고, 이에 기반한 새로운 서비스 발견 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다.

With the rapid development of Web Service technology, the number of Web Service providers which provide same Web Services are increasing. As a result, the QoS elements become more and more important factors for Web Service matchmaking. But, most of previous research efforts do not consider various QoS elements including Service-specific QoS elements during the matchmaking process. In this paper, we propose a Web Service matchmaking scheme which allow dynamic QoS adaptation using the RSS technique. We first classify various QoS elements and describe an extensible QoS model. We then explain a matchmaking scheme, which can utilize the proposed QoS elements. We also show how to dynamically add user-specific QoS elements using the RSS mechanism, thus improving the correctness of web service matchmaking process. Finally, we implemented the proposed schemes and showed the usefulness of our methods through some experiments.
