Effects of Capillary Water Interruption Layer on the Growth of Zoysiagrasses and Cool-season Turfgrasses in Reclaimed Land (염해지에서 모세관수 차단층 설치 유무에 따른 한국잔디 및 한지형 잔디류의 생육)

  • This study was carried out to examine the growth performance of 4 species of cool-season grasses and 4 species of zoysiagrasses under salt injury in Seo-san reclaimed area. Grasses were grown on the plots with capillary water interruption layer (WCWIL) and without capillary water interruption layer (WOCWIL) soil systems. Cool-season grass and seeding-type zoysiagrass plots were seeded on 6 Jun, 2006. Vegetative zoysiagrass 'Junggi' was established by sprigging and 'Senock' and 'Millock' were plugged. Electric conductivities of irrigation water (ECw) ranged from 0.28 to $3.3\;dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$. Electric conductivities (ECe) of the soil with capillary water interruption layer and without capillary water interruption layer ranged from 0.55 to $9.4\;dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ and from 1.84 to $9.4\;dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$ respectively. Leaf color, turf quality, coverage rates, and growth rates were rated visually for 2 years. Zoysiagrass 'Junggi', creeping bentgrass, zoysiagrass 'Senock' and 'Millock' showed acceptable growth at salty fairway condition, while Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, Kentucky bluegrass mixed with perennial ryegrass, and seeded zoysiagrass 'Zenith' showed establishment rates below 70%. These results will be useful when choosing turf grass species and cultivars for the golf courses in reclaimed land area.

  • 휘발성 유기 화합물(Volatile organic compounds, VOCs)은 산업공정에서 유기 용제로 사용되며 수송, 저장 및 취급시 대기로 쉽게 방출된다. 또한 자동차 배출가스, 소각로, 쓰레기 매립장, 폐수 처리시설 및 일반 가정에서의 각종 연소 과정에서도 유출된다. VOCs 의 유출은 그 자체가 인체에 유해할 뿐 아니라, 대기 중에 배출되어 질소 산화물과 함께 광화학 반응을 일으킴으로서 오존 또는 알데히드와 같은 2차 오염물질을 생성시켜 오존층 파괴 및 지구 온난화, 산성비 등으로 지구 환경에 악영향을 초래하고 있다. (중략)

  • With the shortage of the land and NIMBY syndrome, it is issued recently that the capacity of waste-landfill site is needed though the decreasing tendency of waste landfill. From this point, the stability is the most essential problem in the landfill that will be constructed. Advanced design and construction are most important for that. In this paper, for the study of desiccation, dry-shrinkage crack from drying and chemical reaction in cement hydration, which is occurred when the surface layer stabilization method is applied in wast landfill, laboratory test of the ground and specimen according to the mixture ratio of stabilizer is performed. From the result, it is notified that the uni-axial strength increases with the stabilizer, but dry-shrinkage increases too, therefore, it is important and the goal of this study to find the optimal mixture ratio of each stabilizer. Analysis of variance for regression with acting variables is performed to find optimal mixture ratio of each stabilizer.

  • 연직차수벽은 오염지역이나 폐기물 매립장에서 오염된 지하수 (때로는 오염된 수증기) 흐름을 차단하거나 또는 오염지역의 정화처리시 효율을 높이기 위하여 외부로부터 지하수 흐름을 막기 위해 설치된다. 이 논문에서는 연직차수벽의 가장 중요한 설계요소인 차수벽체의 현장 투수성을 평가하는 방법들중 가장 보편적으로 사용되는 단공식 순간 변위시험 (slug test)을 소개한다. 연직차수벽에서 실행된 단공식 순간 변위시험 결과를 해석하기 위해서, 연직차수벽의 압축성과 기하학적인 특성을 고려한 수정된 linear curve fitting 방법을 제안하고 그 적용성을 case study를 통해 평가한다. 기존의 대수층 투수계수 산정에 이용된 curve fitting 방법들에 비하여 수정된 linear curve fitting 방법은 보다 정확한 연직차수벽체의 투수성을 평가하도록 한다.

  • In this study, the engineering characteristics of soil-bentonite mixed liner are investigated using the laboratory hydraulic conductivity and strength tests. The soil used for the liner is clayey silt in the site and the weathered granitic soil located near the waste landfill studied. Mixing ratio of the bentonite which satisfies the requirement of hydraulic conductivity is determined and the optimum mixing ratio of betonite is recommended for the landfill. After the mixed liner is constructed, the block samples of the constructed liner are obtained and the properties of interest satisfy the requirements of the liner of the landfill.

  • The object of this study is to determine the application of friction and ground stress type CGP(Compaction Grouting Pack)-anchor in retaining wall construction on the soft ground by executing in the fill deposit with abandoned coal. In this study the effect of CGP-anchors as retaining wall anchor on the soft ground anchor was evaluated through measuring displacement according to tensile strength by acting tensile strength after equipping CGP-anchors. From the field tests results, CGP-anchor was determined to be considerably effective as retaining wall anchor on the soft ground by showing that the maximum displacement was 60mm and the elastic displacement was within 50mm by 53ton tensile strength.

Analysis of Ground Movement During Diaphragm Well Panel Constructions in Sedimentary Marine Deposit (해성점토층에 실시된 지중연속벽 시공에 의한 지반의 변위 분석)

  • The ground movements during three. full-scale trial diaphragm wall (DW) panel constructions were monitored and analysed. The DW panels were constructed in reclaimed fill where sedimentary marine deposit and residual weathered soils are being consolidated. The monitoring data showed exceptionally large lateral ground movements of up to 293 mm near a trench due to the DW panel constructions, which is about 0.8$\%$ D, where D is the maximum excavation depth. It was observed that deliberate holding period of the trench resulted in a significant increase in the lateral ground movements of about 50-225$\%$. A pre-treatment of the marine deposit by installing a single line of jet grout columns around the trench prior to the excavation was found to be a very effective way of reducing the ground movements. The measured ground settlements were compared with some relevant case histories. DW panel constructions in sedimentary marine deposit are likely to cause maximum ground surface settlement up to 0.225$\%$ D.

  • In thi, study, we made experiments to fonn a mesa shape by meltback method with various concentration of solutions and found that unsaturated (20%) InGaAsP (1.55 !-tm) solution at a growth temperature was the most suitable for the formation of a mesa ,hape on the wafer which has an InGaAsP active layer and an InP cap layer on an n-InP substrate. It was difficult to form a proper mesa shape for the fabrication of PBH-LDs only by the meltback method; therefore, we fabricated PBH-LDs by forming the mesa shape with the meltback method after wet etching and by growing a current-blocking layer successively. As the electrical and optical charaleri,tiecs of MQW-PBH-LDs fabricated by above methods, when the cavity length was $300{\mu}m$, the threshold current was about 10 mA, internal quantum efficiency 82%, internal loss $9.2cm^{-1}$, and characteristic temperature was 65 K at $25~45^{\circ}C$ and 42 K at $45~65^{\circ}C$. /TEX>.

  • A sports center fire in Jecheon caused 29 deaths and 40 injuries. This study focused only on the structural factors of the building and equipment to investigate the causes of casualties based on the fire investigation results at the sports center. The structural factors of the building and equipment were a piloti-type parking lot, lack of a fire compartment between the piloti-type parking lot and lobby, lack of an installed sprinkler system, lack of an installed fire door in the main stairs on the $1^{st}$ floor, lack of an installed fire water tank on the rooftop, an installed pocket fire door in the main entrance on the $2^{nd}$ floor, poor fire compartments in an EPS space and a pipe pit and on each floor, a leak in the joint of a drain pipe, plywood installed in the hoistway of the freight elevator and interior wall, illegal remodeling of a closed rooftop structure, which cannot discharge smoke and heat, installed styrofoam insulation in the inside of the parking lot ceiling, an installed tempered glass window, which cannot be opened in the ladies bathroom on the $2^{nd}$ floor, and a finished dryvit exterior wall.

세륨산화물로 전처리된 다공성 니켈 지지체 위에 스퍼터 증착된 팔라듐-구리 합금 분리막 특성

  • 팔라듐-구리 합금 분리막은 세륨산화물로 전처리된 다공성 니켈 지지체 위에 마그네트론 스퍼터 공정과 구리리플로우 공정에 의해 제조되었다. 스퍼터 공정은 얇고 치밀한 팔라듐 합금 분리막 증착을 위해 아주 효과적이다. 본 연구에서는 고온 스퍼터 공정에 의해 증착된 팔라듐 상부에 유동성과 열적확산이 우수한 구리를 코팅한 후, 반도체 분야에서 기가 패턴 매립시 사용하는 구리리플로우 공정을 도입하였다. 구리리플로우 공정은 치밀하고 미세기공이 존재하지 않는 표면을 구현하고 무한대의 수소 투과도를 가능하게 한다. 이로써 마그네트론 스퍼터에 의해 $200^{\circ}C$에서 팔라듐과 구리를 순차적으로 코팅한 후, $700^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 구리리플로우 공정을 실시하여 $7.5{\mu}m$ 두께의 팔라듐-구리 합금 분리막이 제조되었다. 세륨산화물(CeO2)은 고온에서 장시간 운전하는 동안 다공성 니켈 지지체의 금속성분이 팔라듐 합금층으로 확산하는 금속의 확산 문제를 개선하고자 지지체와 코팅층 사이에 확산방지막으로 도입되었으며, 균일한 스퍼터 증착을 위해 평탄한 표면의 지지체를 구현하였다. 투과도 테스트는 100-400kPa 의 압력차, 673-773K 의 온도 조건에서 순수한 수소가스로 실시하였다. 표면 미세기공이 없는 치밀한 팔라듐-구리 합금 분리막은 혼합가스에서 질소의 투과 없이 수소만을 투과하는 무한대의 우수한 분리도를 나타내었으며, 상용온도 $500^{\circ}C$에서 12.6ml/$cm^2{\cdot}min{\cdot}atm$의 수소 투과 능력을 보였다. 본 연구에 의해 제조된 팔라듐-구리 합금 분리막은 표면 미세기공이 없는 치밀한 분리막 제조를 가능하게 하였으며 열팽창계수가 팔라듐과 매우 비슷한 세륨산화물($CeO_2$)로 인해 지지체층과 코팅층과의 접합력이 향상되고 수소취성에 강하고 높은 열적 안정성을 갖는다.
