일-가정 균형을 위한 보육 및 학교 영역에서의 요구도와 정책: 맞벌이 가정을 중심으로 (The Study on the Need and Related Policy for Work-Family Balance in the Area of Educare and School: Focused on the Dual Worker Families)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the needs for the balance of work-family and to provide the related policies for dual worker family. We focused on the life area of educare and school. Data were collected from 197 working mothers who have 1 or more children under age 10. The findings were: 1) after-school programs, holidays on every alternate Saturday, arbitrary no school days were not appropriate to the working parents' everyday life patterns, so the paradigm and practical conditions should be adapted to the needs of working parents. 2) the most working parents depended on the kindergarden, but the parents' satisfaction with the quality of service, time duration, the human resource of educare teacher was not sufficient, so these issues should be discussed more profoundly.

맞벌이 가정, 삶의 경로와 조정방식에 대한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Dual-earner Couples' Work-life Balance)

  • The study explored the work-life balance of three dual-earning couples using the household economics approach according to the hermeneutics paradigm. Three families were analysed. The couples were interviewed individually with a non-structural interview guide about their work history and life history, and with a semi-structured interview and structured questionnaire about their work hours, childcare practice, husband-wife relation, household income and expenditure, and daily and weekly schedule. The results revealed the different paths and various strategies to adjust work-life balance among the cases. Strategies were discussed to facilitate changes in labor market policy, childcare policy, working place culture and family's daily life planning.

미취학자녀를 둔 맞벌이부모의 평일여가에서 나타난 변화(2004-2019) (Trends in the Workday Leisure-Time of Dual-Income Parents with Preschool Children(2004-2019))

  • 최근 한국사회에서 출산율이 급락하면서 부모의 자녀돌봄에 대한 사회적 지지의 필요성에 대한 공감대가 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 미취학자녀를 양육하는 맞벌이부모의 여가활동별 사용시간에 초점을 맞추어 성차와 시간효과를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 2004년과 2019년의 통계청 생활시간조사 자료를 활용하여 미취학자녀를 둔 맞벌이부부가 근무일인 평일에 작성한 시간일지를 분석하여 전반적인 생활시간 구성(필수시간, 의무시간, 여가시간)의 변화, 여가활동 유형(자원봉사, 교제, 참여, 종교, 의례, 문화·관광, 스포츠·레포츠, 게임·놀이, 미디어, 휴식, 기타 여가)에 따른 사용시간의 성차와 조사시기별 차이, 여가활동별 사용시간에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다(n=2,697). 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 두 조사시기 모두 미취학자녀를 둔 맞벌이부부의 경우 전체성인집단에 비해 필수시간은 짧고, 의무시간은 길며, 여가시간은 짧은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 맞벌이부모의 여가활동별 시간사용량을 비교한 결과, 성차가 유의한 활동 가운데 2004년에는 종교활동을 제외한 모든 여가활동에서, 2019년에는 모든 여가활동에서 아버지가 어머니보다 더 많은 시간을 사용하였다. 아버지와 어머니 모두 총 여가시간이 2004년에 비해 2019년에 감소하였는데, 여가활동별로는 교제, 의례, 미디어 시간은 아버지와 어머니 모두 감소하였고, 종교시간은 어머니 집단에서, 휴식시간은 아버지 집단에서만 감소하였으며, 참여와 게임·놀이 시간은 모두 증가하는 추세를 보였다. 셋째, 맞벌이부모의 여가활동 유형 중 전체성인집단과 뚜렷한 차이를 보인 3가지 여가활동(스포츠·레포츠, 게임·놀이, 미디어)을 선정하여 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 사회인구학적 변수와 생활시간 변수가 서로 다른 효과를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 맞벌이부모의 초기양육기 삶의 질 향상을 위한 가족정책과 부모교육프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

맞벌이부부의 가족스트레스와 가족건강성 (Family Stress and Family Strengths in Double-income Couples)

  • This research focused on the family stress and family strengths in double-income couples. The subjects of this study were 171 double-income couples, in the Kyeongnam Area, Korea. The major findings from the study are as follows. 1) The degree of family stress of the husband and wife in double-income couples was 2.90 and 2.97, respectively, on a scale of 0-5.0. The significant variables were economic level, self-esteem and marital satisfaction in double-income couples' husband, and having a housework-helper, job satisfaction, self-esteem and marital satisfaction in double-income couples' wife. 2) The degree of family strengths of the husband and wife in double-income couples was 3.84 and 3.82, respectively, on a scale of 0-5.0. The significant variables were job satisfaction, self-esteem and marital satisfaction in double-income couples' husband, and the educational level, job type, self-esteem and marital satisfaction in double-income couples' wife. 3) There was a close inverse correlation between the lamely stress and family strengths in the husband and wife of double-income couples.

대구광역시에 거주하는 맞벌이부부의 일-가족조정전략이 일-가족 갈등과 일-가족 향상에 미치는 영향 (The influences of work-family conciliation strategies on work-family conflict and enrichment in dual-earner couples who live in Daegu with children)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of work-family conciliation strategies on work-family conflict and enrichment in dual-earner couples who live in Daegu with children. The subjects of this study were 176 dual-earner couples, who have under 16 youngest children and work over 15 hours each week. The research tool was questionnaires. For data analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, paired t-test and multiple regression were performed. The main results of this study were as following. First, there were significant differences in management and planning skill strategy, work-family conflict and enrichment according to gender. Second, positive attitudes strategy toward multiple responsibilities, wives use, had an influence on work${\rightarrow}$family conflict in wives. Also, partner coping, management and planning skill, and positive attitudes strategy, wives use, and management and planning skill strategy, husbands use, had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work conflict in wives. And management and planning skill and professional adjustment strategy, husbands use, had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work conflict in husbands. work-family conciliation strategies had no influence on work${\rightarrow}$family conflict. Third, positive attitudes strategy toward multiple responsibilities, wives use, had an influence on work${\rightarrow}$family enrichment in wives. Also, partner coping strategy, wives use, and management and planning skill strategy, husbands use, had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work enrichment in wives. And positive attitudes strategy toward multiple responsibilities, husbands use, had an influence on work${\rightarrow}$family enrichment in husbands. Also management and planning skill strategy, wives use, and partner coping, professional adjustment and management and planning skill strategy had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work enrichment in husbands.
