  • 최근 보급이 확대되고 있는 HVDC는 설치 당시의 상황 등에 따라 제어기가 달라지게 되므로, HVDC 프로젝트마다 제어기가 달라지게 된다. 따라서 PSS/E 프로그램에는 HVDC 설비를 위한 전용의 HVDC 모델을 개발할 수 있는 Model Writing 기법을 제공하고 있다. 하지만 국내에서는 UDM 개발 기술이 널리 전파되지 않아 UDM 기술기반이 취약한 상태이다. 이에 본 논문에 CIGRE HVDC 벤치 마크 모델에 대한 UDM을 개발하여 전용의 HVDC 모델을 개발하기 위한 기반기술을 확보하였다.

  • 감마선폭발 (Gamma Ray Burst) 사건에서 아직 관측이 안되고 있는 초기 방출 광자에 대한 연구를 위하여 Ultra Fast Flash Observatory (UFFO) 인공위성 프로젝트가 제안되었다. 이 탑재체의 주요 기기로써, 감마선 폭발의 위치를 측정하기 위하여 coded mask 기반의 X-ray 광시야각 망원경인 UFFO Burst Alert X-ray Trigger Telescope (UBAT)와 감마선 폭발의 자외선 및 가시광 초기 후광관측을 위한 Slewing Mirror Telescope(SMT)가 있다. UFFO 프로젝트는 한국이 주도하고 미국, 대만, 러시아, 덴마크, 스페인, 프랑스, 노르웨이, 폴란드가 참여하는 9개국 국제공동연구이며, 2011년 11월 UFFO pathfinder가 러시아 인공위성인 Lomonosov에 실려 발사될 예정이다. 차세대 UFFO-100는 2015년 발사 목표로 연구가 시작되고 있다. UFFO pathfinder의 현재 진행상황과 가능한 연구에 대하여 논의한다.

Review of International Research Cooperation Results for Intercomparison of Luminescence Dating (루미네선스 연대측정 상호비교를 위한 국제공동연구 결과 고찰)

  • The Risø Research Institute in Denmark conducted the luminescence dating intercomparison project, which derives equivalent dose, annual dose, and absolute age results for each laboratory from the same sample, and compares the results between laboratories. This project was carried out from 2006 to 2012. In this project, 30 international laboratories worldwide participated, including the luminescence laboratory at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). As a result of the project's synthesis, the average value of the results generally shows an over-dispersion value between laboratories of about 13%. The equivalent dose value obtained through the provided quartz analyzed in KIGAM shows results almost identical to the final equivalent dose value of the project. On the other hand, the equivalent dose value obtained from self-extracted quartz analyzed in KIGAM shows a difference of about 0.9 Gy from the final result of the project, which is thought to be due to the difference in particle size of the separated quartz. This international joint research project is the first large-scale international joint study related to luminescence dating and is expected to have contributed to the reliability and use of luminescence dating internationally.

  • Korean urban development cooperation is gradually expanding into Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region, but strategies to encourage domestic market players to participate are insufficient. This paper investigated the Colombian urban planning system, urban development projects, and Korean projects in Colombia, which leads to implications for international cooperation in LAC. This research, first, compares the national and regional urban planning systems of Colombian major cities, Bogotá and Medellín. Second, case studies are carried out with a land readjustment project, a Macro project for large-scale public rental housing supply, and urban development cooperation between Korea and Colombia. By doing so, the role and the directions for Korean urban development cooperation with LAC such as Colombia are discussed and proposed. The findings suggest, first, aid projects through Official Development Assistance (ODA) should establish urban networks in recipient countries. Second, it is necessary to understand the financing structure for urban development cooperation projects that are different from infrastructure projects. Third, the successful case of urban development cooperation should be demonstrated by making the development period and size optimal and manageable.

  • 신임 만로랜드코리아 케네스 한센(Kenneth Hansen) 회장은 덴마크 출생으로 지난 1996년 덴마크 정부로부터 수도인 코펜하겐 국제 친선 사절단의 임원으로 선정되기도 한 저명한 인물이다. 인쇄와 관련해서는 약 16여년간 EAC에 근무한 적이 있어 인쇄전반에 대한 해박한 지식과 정보를 가지고 있으며,더욱이 이 기간동안 한국을 비롯한 중국, 홍콩, 대만에서 근무한 경력이 있다. 한국에는 4년 동안 근무한 바 있기 때문에 누구보다 한국에 대한 이해가 높다. 그 후 대만의 가장 오랜 역사를 지닌 Tait그룹의 CEO로도 근무한 바 있으며, 이후에 영국 런던의 시티은행에 4년간 만그룹 등의 파이낸싱 프로젝트의 책임자로도 근무했다. 케네스 한센 회장은 만로랜드 그룹의 아시아 지역 대표인 동시에 만로랜드코리아의 회장이며, 만로랜드 본사 회장의 직속에 있기때문에 국내에서의 경영에 않은 변화가 있을 것으로 예상된다. 이에 본지에서는 케네스 한센 회장의 포부와 앞으로의 경영계획에 대해 들어보았다.

Nonlinear Seismic Analysis of a Three-dimensional Unsymmetrical Reinforced Concrete Structure (3차원 비대칭 철근콘크리트 구조물의 비선형 지진응답해석)

  • This paper presents the seismic performance of a geometrically unsymmetrical reinforced concrete building considering torsional effect and material nonlinearity of concrete and steel. The reinforced concrete building is a structure for seismic performance evaluation in the SMART-2013 international benchmark program. Nonlinear constitutive models for concrete and steel were constructed, and their numerical performance was demonstrated by various local tests. Modal analysis showed that the first three natural frequencies and mode shapes were close to the experimental results from the SMART-2013 program. In the time history analysis for low-intensity seismic loadings, displacement and acceleration responses at sampling points were similar to the experimental results. In the end, nonlinear time history analysis was conducted for Northridge earthquake to predict the behavior of the reinforced concrete structure under high-intensity seismic loadings.

  • The Global's top five Design Firms selected from BauNetz a German architectural magazine in 2007 designed free form building design which was 25% of the overall design by 2006-2010. Free form building is a landmark of the city and the country so its social and economic impacts are very large. In case of Korea, free form buildings such as Tribowl in Incheon, KINTEX Exhibition hall 2 and Dongdaemun Design Plaza have increased. However, those the increase in design trends and, the needs due to the lack of free form building design and construction management experience, free form building projects can't be expected to profitability and have a number of problems after completion. Especially, there are many excessive quality problems and the rising cost due to design changes frequently and lack of experience and data. Thus an initial plan regardless of considering of free form building's characteristics can be a huge risk because of the difference with the plan and actual projects, yet there aren't free form building project's performance data and case studies related to productivity. In this study, through selection of low-construction productivity works and an analysis of the work process and productivity data, hope to propose an actual field productivity of free form building and the ways to improve productivity.

An Analysis of the Effect of an Ontology-Based Information Searching Model as a Supplementary Learning Tool (학습 보조 도구로서 온톨로지 검색 모델의 효과 분석)

  • This study analyzed whether the ontology-based information-searching model affected the ability of students to effectively search for meaningful information to carry out their projects. The experiment results illustrated that the amount of relevant information sought by the ontology-based information retrieval (OIR) method was significantly greater than that of the existing information retrieval (EIR) method. In addition, the relevance rate of the bookmarked documents sought by the OIR method was significantly greater than that of the EIR method. Interviews showed that the OIR model was helpful for students to effectively find information and thus, it helped them to complete the project more easily. Furthermore, the OIR model was beneficial for them to understand the subordinate concepts and their relationships for an important learning concept. The results of this study indicate that the OIR model could be used as a supplementary learning tool for project-based learning.

  • 마크와이저에 의하여 제창된 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 가능하게 하는 차세대 핵심 기술로 RFID 기술이 주목받고 있으며, RFID를 기반으로 하는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 응용 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 다양한각도에서 연구 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 RFID를 기반으로 하는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경을 구현하기 위한 EPCglobal의 EPC Network Architecture의 구성 요소에 대하여 알아보고 이를 지원하는 미들웨어 제품 및 솔루션을 살펴보고, 연속적으로 들어오는 데이터 스트림을 실시간으로 처리하기 위해 수행되고 있는 프로젝트들의 기술 동향에 대하여 논의한다.

Core Experiments for Standardization of Internet of Media Things (미디어사물인터넷의 국제표준화를 위한 핵심 실험)

  • Recently, due to the development of network environment, the internet market has been expanding, so it is necessary to standardize the data format and API to exchange information among objects. Therefore, MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group), an international standardization organization, is establishing the MPEG-IoMT (ISO/IEC 23093) project to standardize the Internet of Things. MPEG-IoMT establishes Core Experiment (CE) and discusses overall data exchange such as data exchange procedure, markup language and communication method. In this paper, core experiments 1, 2, 4, and 5 of the core experiments of MPEG-IoMT will be discussed. The performance information of the sensor, the sensor data, the performance information of the driver, and the exchange procedure of the control command are explained and the exchange of the media additional data is discussed. We compare the markup language and communication method through experiment.
