Novel Priming Discharge Technology for Plasma Display Panel (플라즈마 디스플레이의 새로운 프라이밍 방전 기술)

  • 단일 구동회로를 사용하여 패널전체를 동시에 방전시킬 수 있는 새로운 priming 방전기술을 고안하였다. 그리고 이 기술을 사용하여 1080개의 수평주사선수를 가지는 full-HDTV PDP를 고휘도로 구동할 수 있는 새로운 고속 구동방식을 제안하였다. 이 priming 방전기술을 사용하면 구동방식에 상관없이 priming 기간을 sustain 기간에 중첩시키고 ramp 파형을 가지는 priming pulse를 인가하는 것이 가능하다. 실험결과로부터 sustain 방전이 없는 경우에만 priming 방전이 일어났다. 그리고 sustain 방전은 priming 펄스의 영향을 거의 받지 않는다는 것이 확인되었다. 새로운 PDP 구동기술로 $0.7{\mu}s$의 address 펄스폭을 가지는 고속 address를 실현하였다. 그리고 40V의 넓은 address 동작마진을 얻었다. 이 기술들은 상용의 driver IC를 사용할 수 있도록 설계되어있으므로 상용화 가능성도 높다.

  • In this paper, we present a tracking accuracy enhancement method by compensating the time delay of the video tracker in an EOTS. The proposed method has two functional parts, which can cope with the time delay of LOS and maneuvering target informations by Smith predictor and Kalman filter. So it can dramatically reduce the tracking error over conventional PI control or Smith predictor control. To verify the proposed method, various and extensive simulation and experimental results are given.

  • This paper describes the antenna based GPS anti-jamming technology called CRPA(Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna), which used $2{\times}2$ array elements. In this system, the main functions are the antenna complex weight control and the GPS digital I/Q VM(Vector Modulator). To update the VM's I/Q complex weights, the PC based DAC(Digital to Analog Converter) module was also used and the two analog output voltages were applied to the $2{\times}2$ array elements to synthesize the null pattern. In the study, we also simulated the $2{\times}2$ GPS array null patterns to compare the null depth with experimental results. The VM was also modified at the frequency of 1.575GHz for the GPS L1 and controlled by the PC based VM software.

Acute Toxicity Study on SsangHwaTang in Mice (쌍화탕 급성독성에 대한 안전성 연구)

  • SsangHwaTang has been traditionally prescribed a medicine as a restorative. In this study, We investigated the acute toxicity about water-extracted SsangHwaTang. Twenty-five mice completed 14 days of oral SsangHwaTang at the respective doses of 0(control group), 2560, 3200, 4000 and 5000mg/kg. And then we observed survival rates, general toxicity, change of body weight, and autopsy. Compared with the control group, we could not find any toxic alteration in all treated groups (2560, 3200, 4000 and 5000mg/kg). In conclusion, LD50 of SsangHwaTang was over 5000mg/kg and it is very safe to ICR mice.

  • In this paper, the new robust current control scheme is proposed for an Induction motor. The proposed design scheme of current controller tan obtain a specified stability margin through electrical parameter variation by using Kharitonov robust stability theory. The characteristics of the proposed design scheme are compared with those of a conventional scheme by computer simulation and its effectiveness and usefulness is verified by experiments on the 0.75kW induction motor drive.

  • This paper presents a method for real-time estimation of TCSC quantity in order to enhance the power system transient stability energy margin using fuzzy neural network in multi-machine system. This paper has two parts, the first part is to estimate the energy margin. To set critical energy, we use the potential energy boundary surface(PEBS) method which one of the transient energy function(TEF) method. And the second is to determine the TCSC quantify and the line to be injected. In order to make training data in this step, we use genetic algorithm. The proposed method is applied to 6-bus, 7-line, 4-machine model system to show its effectiveness.

  • On-line dynamic security assessment is becoming more and more important for the stable operation of power systems as load level increases. The necessity is getting apparent under Electricity Market environments due to more various operating conditions. Fast transient stability analysis tool is required for contingency selection. The TEF(Transient Energy Function) method is a good candidate for this purpose. The clustering of critical generators is crucial for the precise and fast calculation of energy margin. In this paper, we propose a new method for fast decision of mode of instability by using stability indices. Case study shows very promising results.

  • Support vector machine(SVM)은 입력 데이터를 두개의 다른 클래스로 구별하는 결정면을 학습과정을 통하여 구한다. 기존의 SVM은 단지 이차 클래스에 대하여 적용되어지나, 많은 응용분야에서 입력 데이터들은 몇 개의 다중 클래스로 분류해야 한다. 다중 클래스 분류 문제는 기존의 SVM을 사용할 수 있는 일반적으로 몇 개의 2차 문제로 분해하여 풀 수 있다. 실례로 one-against-all 방법을 적용하면, n 클래스 문제는 n 개의 두 클래스 문제로 변환 하여 풀 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 입력 패턴들을 다중 클래스로 분류 할 때 퍼지 소속도를 응용한 소프트 마진 알고리즘의 상한 경계값을 각 클래스에 따라 다르게 적용함으로써 기존의 SVM 보다 더 우수한 학습 능력을 가짐을 보였다.

  • In this paper, the vibration suppression scheme based on a model referece approach is proposed. The vibration results from the coupling of the system and its frequency are given by the mechanical factors. In the proposed scheme, a low frequency vibration mode is transferred to high one. And also its damping ratio can be increased without any mechanical redesign. Therefore, bandwidth and open loop gain of the plant are increased and the performance of the system can be improved. This paper analyzes the proposed vibration suppression scheme, which is compared with the conventional control scheme for mechanical resonance suppression. For proving the realistic validity, we apply the proposed scheme to a LOS(Line Of Sight) stabilization system which has vibration effect. Finally, the proposed scheme is verified through simulations and experiments.
