  • 1981년 10월 2일에 울릉도 남양 인근의 수심 5∼7m해저에서 채집되어 해양 연구소에 보관되었던 바다거미류 중 4개체가 신속 ·신종임이 밝혀져 이를 Bradypallene espina르 명명하여 기재한다. 신종은 더듬이다리가 3마디이고(암수) 눈돌기가 머리마디의 앞쪽에 위치하며 다리에 곁발톱이 있는 점, 포란지에 끝발톱이 없는 점으르 보아 기록된 타속에 소속시킬 수가 없다.

  • 본 논문에서는 한국 가요 학습 데이터를 노래 가사 마디 단위로 문자열을 역전시키는 형태로 변형하고 LSTM으로 학습하여, 마디 간의 문맥을 고려해 문자열을 생성하는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 그리고 이를 통해 특정 가요 가사와 유사하면서도 다른 가사를 생성하는 것도 가능하다. 문자열의 우측 끝에 위치하면서 마디 간의 문맥을 연결해 주는 서술어, 접속사와 같은 요소를 활용하기 위해 데이터를 변형하여 적용한다. 제안하는 방식으로 생성한 문자열이 단순히 문자열 데이터를 그대로 학습하여 생성하는 것보다 상대적으로 더 자연스러운 문맥으로 생성되는 것을 확인하였다.

Structure of Antennal Sensilla on the Adult Asian Ladybird, Hamonia axyridis Pallas (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) (무당벌레(Harmonia axyridis)성충 더듬이에 분포하는 감각기의 구조)

  • The antennal sensilla of the adult male and female ladybird beetle, Harmonia axyridis (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) were examined by scanning electron microscopy. Nine types of sensilla were characterized and grouped into 5 morphological classes: $B\ddot{o}hm$, basiconic, chetiform, coeloconlc, and trichoid sensilla. $B\ddot{o}hm$ sensilla were localized on the scape and pedicel, part of the ventral and dorsal proximal side. This placement suggests a role in proportion of antennal position and movement. Basiconic and chetiform sensilla were divided into 3 subtypes by morphology and length differences. Trichoid sensilla are confined to the last 2 flagellum segments on both sexes. Sexual dimorphism of antennal sensilla is limited to the three types of difference. The principal characteristics of this dimorphism are the following: a) The distribution of sensilla was differ from male and female in antennae. b) Males exhibit coeloconic sensilla not present in females; c) Females posses more trichoid sensilla than males. The possible role of specific dilference of the sensilla in intersexual communication is discussed.

An Improved Automatic Music Transcription Method Using TV-Filter and Optimal Note Combination (TV-필터와 최적 음표조합을 이용한 개선된 가변템포 음악채보방법)

  • This paper proposes three methods for improving the accuracy of auto-music transcription considering with time-varying tempo from monophonic sound. The first one that uses TV(Total Variation) filter for smoothing the pitch data reduces the fragmentation in the pitch segmentation result. Also, the measure finding method that combines three different ways based on pitch and energy of sound data, respectively as well as based on rules produces more stable result. In addition the temporal result of note-length encoding is corrected in optimal way that the resulted encoding minimizes the sum of quantization error in a measure while the sum of note-lengths is equal to the number of beats. In the experiment with 16 children songs, we obtained the improved result in which measure finding was complete, the accuracy of encoding for note-length and pitch was about 91.3 and 86.7, respectively.

  • This study was conducted to distinguish adult morphology of the giant water bug (Lethocerus deyrollei) between over-wintered (OLD) and new-born (NEW) populations using materials collected from Gyodong island in Gyeonggi-do, Korea, as well as individuals reared in the laboratory (LAB population) as a control. As a result, no fundamental differences were found in external body structure between OLD, NEW, and LAB populations. However, marginal area of basal procoxa in ventral prothorax and jointed part of forefemur and foretibia were greatly worn in the OLD population. Mid-claws were shorter than 0.5 times the length of the 2nd mid-tarsus; the membranous margin of hemelytra was greatly worn; and hairs of the 5th abdominal tergum were greatly reduced in the OLD population.

Development of Feature Extraction Algorithm for Finger Vein Recognition (지정맥 인식을 위한 특징 검출 알고리즘 개발)

  • This study is an algorithm for detecting vein pattern features important for finger vein recognition. The feature detection algorithm is important because it greatly affects recognition results in pattern recognition. The recognition rate is degraded because the reference is changed according to the finger position change. In addition, the image obtained by irradiating the finger with infrared light is difficult to separate the image background and the blood vessel pattern, and the detection time is increased because the image preprocessing process is performed. For this purpose, the presented algorithm can be performed without image preprocessing, and the detection time can be reduced. SWDA (Down Slope Trace Waveform) algorithm is applied to the finger vein images to detect the fingertip position and vein pattern. Because of the low infrared transmittance, relatively dark vein images can be detected with minimal detection error. In addition, the fingertip position can be used as a reference in the classification stage to compensate the decrease in the recognition rate. If we apply algorithms proposed to various recognition fields such as palm and wrist, it is expected that it will contribute to improvement of biometric feature detection accuracy and reduction of recognition performance time.

  • The antennal receptors of the adult male and female of the American leafminer, Liriomyza trifolii (Diptera: Agromyzidae) was studied using the scanning electron microscopy. This antennal receptors were developed to accept the chemical or mechanical signal in the environment. The antennae of L. trifolii is 317.52 $\mu$m long and composed of the scape, pedicel, funicle, arista. Antennae located between compounds eye on the middle in the head. The result of SEM observation, four types of receptors were characterized and grouped into morphological classes: Trichoid, Basiconic, Coeloconic, Chetiform sensilla. Trichoid sensilla are located on the all segment. As a rule, female is more than male. This sensilla are long and slender hair with straight or slightly curved, and taper to a sharp point apically. Basiconic sensilla are observed only on the funicle. The number of basiconic sensilla in male and female are almost same in both sexes. This sensilla are long and thick hair with stright or slightly curved, and taper to a blunt point apically. Coeloconic sensilla are observed only on the funicle. This sensilla were showed a finger-like projections the peg apex. The number of basiconic sensilla in male and female are almost same in both sexes. Chetifarm sensilla are located on the all segment. This sensilla are needle-like, tapering sharply. Pedicel are more than scape. The number of Chetiform sensilla in male and female are almost same in both sexes.

Automatic Segmentation of Epiphyseal Using Statistical Properties of Epiphyseal Location (골단판 위치의 통계적 특성을 이용한 골단판 자동추출)

  • 뼈 나이 평가는 소아 뼈의 골화정도, 내분비선 장애 등을 쉽게 알아 볼 수 있어 소아 방사선 의학에서 자주 사용되는 방법이다. 뼈 나이 평가를 위해서는 골단판과 손마디 뼈의 길이 넓이 등 뼈 정보가 필요하기 때문에 골단판 영역의 추출이 선행되어야 한다. 하지만 골단판의 성장이 많이 진행되어 손마디 뼈 부분과 붙어 있는 경우 골단판 추출이 어려운 점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 골단판 성장 여부와 상관없이 다양한 나이의 디지털 X-ray 영상에서 손가락의 골단판을 추출하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 손가락 경계선의 레이블링 처리를 이용하여 정확한 손가락 영역을 추출하고 골단판 위치의 통계적 특성을 사용하여 골단판의 후보 지역을 생성한다. 그리고 골단판 영역에서는 손가락 영상의 수직 투영 미분값이 크기 때문에 후보 지역 내에서 수직 투영 미분값의 변화량으로 골단판의 위치를 정확하게 추출한다. 다양한 나이에 대해 실험해 본 결과 제안한 방법은 골단판의 성장 여부와 상관없이 골다판과 손가락 뼈가 붙은 곳에서도 골단판의 통계적 특성을 사용해 정확한 골단판 영역을 추출할 수 있었다.

Automatic Music Transcription Considering Time-Varying Tempo (가변 템포를 고려한 자동 음악 채보)

  • Time-varying tempo of a song is one of the error sources for the identification of a note duration in automatic music recognition. This paper proposes an improved music transcription scheme equipped with the identification of note duration considering the time-varying tempo. In the proposed scheme the measures are found at first and the tempo, the playing time of each measure, is then estimated. The tempo is then used for resizing each IOI(Inter Onset Interval) length and considered to identify the accurate note duration, which increases the degree of correspondence to the music piece. In the experiment the proposed scheme found the accurate measure position for 14 monophonic children songs out of 16 ones recorded by men and women. Also, it achieved about 89.4% and 84.8% of the degree of matching to the original music piece for identification of note duration and pitch, respectively.

Berry Production Using Secondary Shoots in 'Campbell Early' Grapevines (포도 캠벨얼리 품종의 2차지를 이용한 과실생산)

  • For the production of second crop in 'Campbell Early' grape, the primary shoots were pruned at 3rd, 6th or 9th nodes from the shoot bases on 13 days, 23 days and 33 days after full bloom date on 7th June. Secondary shoots were sprouted 7~8 days after the pruning, and it took 19~25 days for the flowering on the secondary shoots. The flower cluster number on secondary shoots were 2.8 for 13 days after full bloom, and 3.2 for 23 days and 33 days after full bloom, meaning little effect by pruning time. The 3rd node pruning produced 2~2.4 flower clusters with flower cluster length of 9.3~10.4 cm, while the 6th or 9th node pruning produced 3.1~3.8 flower clusters with flower cluster length of 12~14.9 cm, showing superior flower cluster length for the 6th or 9th node pruning. The secondary shoots developed from the buds pruned 13 days after full bloom with pruning bud positions of 6th nodes demonstrated superior fruits with higher soluble solids and lower acidity than the rest of the pruning times and positions.
