A Study on the Productivity Increment through Construction of Lean Production System for Automobile Plant in China (중국 자동차 공장의 린 생산 체계 구축을 통한 생산성 향상에 관한 연구)

  • This paper deals with the productivity increment through construction of lean production system for automobile factory in China. This lean production system has been progressed according to 5 steps. Step 1 is the work preparation. Step 2 is the process design. Step 3 is the establishment of method to count production quantity. Step 4 is the establishment of measuring method for input and output. Finally, step 5 is the construction of flexible production system able to adapt for environment change. This lean production system is expected to obtain the productivity increment by 50% for plastic plant and reduction by 50% in inventory quantity.

Development a multidimensional assessment scale for work-family spillover in working couples with children (유자녀 맞벌이 부부의 다차원적 일-가족 전이 척도 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a scale for the multidimensional assessment of work-family spillover in working couples with children. The subjects of this study were working wives and husbands with children in Daegu. Two surveys were administered, eliciting 243 respondents and 227 respondents, respectively. Then a series of tests were run to analyze the data, including item-to-total correlation, Cramer's V coefficients, item discrimination, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The results yielded that, first, a preliminary 102 items were developed on the basis of the literature review, and this was narrowed down to 72 items selected with the help of experts. Through preliminary, primary and secondary survey analysis, the scale for the multidimensional assessment of work-family spillover was developed and validated, with a 36 items scale, 18 items for work to family spillover and 18 items for family to work spillover. Furthermore, the scale constructed three spillover processes - time interference, energy depletion, and psychological distraction - and consisted of four different domains of family life into which spillover occurs - namely marital relationship, parent-child relationship, leisure, and housework. The internal reliability was evaluated to show a confidence range of .85 ~.92 for each factor.

A Study on the Quality Improvement of Mechanical Drawing Notes Using Lean 6 Sigma Analysis (린 6시그마 분석을 통한 도면 주기 품질 향상 방안 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find useful solutions by analyzing causes and results about defects on mechanical drawing notes and provide an automated tool with solutions to mechanical engineers. Methods: The collected data for defects on mechanical drawing notes were from ongoing development and mass production projects. Various measurement methods were used based on the Lean 6 Sigma analysis such as Process analysis, C&E diagram and some statistical analysis. Results: The results of this study are as follows; The results of the Lean 6 Sigma analysis, the validity of the selected indicators for improving drawing notes quality was verified through the verification of cause variables. The strategy established to improve the mechanical drawing notes was reflected as an automated program, and the defects were within a manageable range and achieved target Sigma level. Conclusion: Through the application of the "Mechanical drawing notes automation tool", it is expected to resolve the "Voice of Customer, VOC" and "Voice of Business, VOB".

  • Six sigma is focused on quality improvement through variation reduction, while lean is on process flow improvement and lead time reduction by waste elimination. However, lean cannot bring a process under statistical control and six sigma alone cannot dramatically improve process speed. Lean six sigma was developed to achieve faster rate of improvement in customer satisfaction, cost, quality, process speed, and invested capital. In this paper we present the importance of using value stream mapping and suggest a guideline on how to integrate lean and six sigma by is proposed.

  • Assuming that the knowledge creation and retrieval functions could be the most important factors for a successful knowledge management(KM) especially during the promotion stage of KM, this study suggests an e-learning application as one of best methods for producing knowledge and also the integrated knowledge repository model in which learning, knowledge. and information objects can be semantically associated through topic map-based knowledge map. The traditional KM system provides a simple directory-based knowledge map. which can not provide the semantic links between topics or objects. The proposed model can be utilized as a solution to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages of the traditional models. In order to collect the basic data for the proposed model, first, case studies utilizing interviews and surveys were conducted targeting at three Korean insurance companies' knowledge managers(or e-learning managers) and librarians. Second, the related studies and other topic map-based pilot systems were investigated.

The Relationship between Household Income, Consumption Wants for Education, Private Education Expenses, and Old-Age Economic Preparation Behaviors in Mothers with School-Aged Children (학령기 어머니의 가계소득, 교육소비욕구 및 사교육비와 경제적 노후준비행동 간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between household income, consumption wants for education, private education expenses, and old-age economic preparation behaviors in mothers with school-aged children. The participants in this study comprised 393 mothers living with children aged 8.19 in Daegu. All participants had wage-earning husbands. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. Factor analysis was conducted using SPSS and structural regression analysis was performed using AMOS. The main results of this study were as follows: The participants' old-age economic preparation behaviors were influenced by their household income, the proportion of private education expenditures they paid, and the perceived burden the participants had of these private education expenditures. The consumption wants for education in mothers with school-aged children had no significant impact on the proportion of private education expenditures paid by the participants. Household income, proportion of private education expenditures, and perceived burden of the private education expenditures had a direct effect on the old-age economic preparation behaviors of the participants. When the perceived burden of the private education expenditures was mediated, the consumption wants for education in mothers with school-aged children had an indirect effect on their old-age economic preparation behaviors.

  • Because of increased global competition, rapid technology development, and shorten product life cycle, manufacturing firms needed to quickly adapt to the changes of customer and competitive environment. During last 20 years, lean production and agile manufacturing have been used to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing firms. This study is purposed to examine the antecedents of agility and to statistically analyze not only the effect of antecedents on agility but also the effect of agility on business performance. This study used the structural equation model and found that intra-organizational cooperation, inter-organizational cooperation, and mutual trust had the significant effects on agility. And it was found that agility had a significant effect on operation performance and strategic performance. Agility has been one of important competitive advantages enhancing the supply chain process and firm's competitiveness. This study contributes to widen the practices of agility capability.

The influences of work-family conciliation strategies on work-family conflict and enrichment in dual-earner couples who live in Daegu with children (대구광역시에 거주하는 맞벌이부부의 일-가족조정전략이 일-가족 갈등과 일-가족 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of work-family conciliation strategies on work-family conflict and enrichment in dual-earner couples who live in Daegu with children. The subjects of this study were 176 dual-earner couples, who have under 16 youngest children and work over 15 hours each week. The research tool was questionnaires. For data analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, paired t-test and multiple regression were performed. The main results of this study were as following. First, there were significant differences in management and planning skill strategy, work-family conflict and enrichment according to gender. Second, positive attitudes strategy toward multiple responsibilities, wives use, had an influence on work${\rightarrow}$family conflict in wives. Also, partner coping, management and planning skill, and positive attitudes strategy, wives use, and management and planning skill strategy, husbands use, had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work conflict in wives. And management and planning skill and professional adjustment strategy, husbands use, had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work conflict in husbands. work-family conciliation strategies had no influence on work${\rightarrow}$family conflict. Third, positive attitudes strategy toward multiple responsibilities, wives use, had an influence on work${\rightarrow}$family enrichment in wives. Also, partner coping strategy, wives use, and management and planning skill strategy, husbands use, had an influence on family${\rightarrow}$work enrichment in wives. And positive attitudes strategy toward multiple responsibilities, husbands use, had an influence on work${\rightarrow}$family enrichment in husbands.   • Purpose of this study is to analyze degrees of oral transmission, customer satisfaction, and subscription customer's re-visitation to grasp effectiveness of CRM of construction company. Brand recognition, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty can be made to improve by CRM of construction company. Ultimately, this study is intended to improve management achievement by increasing total sales and reducing expense. 175 distribution customers and subscription customers participate in the final analysis for this study. In terms of service quality factors, state of facility, trust, response, conviction and sympathy are measured. In terms of effectiveness, customer satisfaction, oral transmission, and customer's re-visitation are measured. Considering these things, CRM of construction company can improve oral transmission, satisfaction, re-visitation of distribution customers and subscription customers. CRM of construction company can be utilized as a competitive means for management and contribute to improving management achievement in the long run. Through examining actual effectiveness of CRM of construction company in this study, it can be thought that necessity and possibility of CRM of construction company should be recognized and CRM of construction company should be developed further.

A Case Study on Freshcode for the Food Online Platform Business: A Focus on the Lean Start-Up (푸드 온라인 플랫폼 비즈니스 프레시코드 사례: 린 스타트업 방식을 중심으로)

  • Food delivery service combined with IT technology and HMR (Home Meal Replacement) are rapidly growing due to the COVID-19. Recently, the demand for salads along with HMR has increased among office workers in their 20s and 30s who are interested in health and beauty. Freshcode is a food startup with 6 years of experience that started selling salad products through O2O service. Freshcode applied for a patent for a service that collects orders from nearby areas and delivers them on the same day to a designated delivery address 'FCOSPOT' to save shipping costs. In March 2021, in recognition of the growth potential of the regular delivery service, Freshcode received an investment of 6 billion won in Series A. This study may have practical implications to early-stage startups and scale-up stage startups through a longitudinal case study on the growth of a single company. As for the research method, the lean startup methodology and lean canvas were used in the early stage of startup. In particular, the process of the build-measure and learn feedback-loop, which is the core of lean startup methodology, was applied to each major decision-making step. In the scale-up stage after 5 years, the business model canvas was used to schematize the growth as a food online O2O platform to verify continuous innovation. This case study has three main findings. First, the idea of 'FCOSPOT' was successfully implemented through the Lean Startup methodology. Second, Freshcode demonstrated the scalability of the differentiated business model of shared base delivery O2O. Third, a key factor of success was the digital integrated communication operation strategy that maximizes the experience for the created customers.
