Effects of Synthetic Temperature and Amount of Oleylamine in Synthesis of Cu-Based Nanoparticles Using Heptyl Alcohol Solvent (헵틸알콜 기반의 Cu계 나노입자 합성에서 온도 및 올레일아민 첨가량의 효과)

  • With synthesis temperature and adding amount of oleylamine, nanometer-sized Cu particles were fabricated by heptyl alcohol-based chemical synthesis. The synthetic temperature and amount of oleylamine changed excessively the shape and phase of synthesized nanoparticles. Only cubic-shaped $Cu_2O$ phase was formed at $160^{\circ}C$ regardless of the amount of oleylamine because of imperfect reduction reaction, representing results that the average size of $Cu_2O$ particles decreased with increasing the amount of oleylamine. In the case the synthesis at $170^{\circ}C$, however, nanoparticles of irregular sphere or peanut shapes were synthesized. Moreover, the average size of nanoparticles decreased continuously and gradually with an increase of the amount of oleylamine. According to the size decrease, the synthesized $Cu_2O$ nanoparticles were also transformed into pure Cu nanoparticles.

온도 스트레스에 의한 Organic Light Emitting Diode 전기적 특성

  • 최근 디스플레이 시장에서는 저전력 자발광 소자인 OLED가 많은 관심 속에 연구 진행 되고 있다. 높은 효율과 투명, 플렉서블 디스플레이가 실현 가능한 OLED 소자는 초기 수명감소, 저전압구동 및 신뢰성에 대한 문제점을 개발 중에 있기에 많은 가능성을 현실화 하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 OLED소자의 역방향 반송자 회복 수명을 측정함으로써 스트레스에 의한 소자 열화를 전기적으로 분석하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 우선 5cm5cm의 면적에 네 개의 픽셀이 들어가는 후면 발광 Blue OLED를 제작하고 $-40^{\circ}C$부터 $100^{\circ}C$까지 $10^{\circ}C$간격으로 온도 스트레스를 주어 수명을 측정하였다. 전원공급기를 사용하여 직류 전압을 2V 인가하고 함수 발생기를 사용하여 +3V, -0.5V의 구형파를 500 kHz 주파수로 인가하였다. 이러한 조건으로 측정된 소자는 오실로스코프를 이용하여 전압 회복시간을 측정하고 온도 스트레스에 따른 수명을 산출하였다. $-40^{\circ}C$일 때 는 약 1.92E-7s이고 $100^{\circ}C$일 때 는 약 1.49E-7s로 약 0.43E-7s정도 감소하였다. 양의 전압이 인가되었을 때의 소자 내부의 전압은 온도가 증가함에 따라 꾸준히 감소하였고, 이에 따라 또한 꾸준히 감소하였다. 그러나 음의 전압이 인가되는 부분에서는 무설 전류에 의하여 음의 방향으로 흐르게 되는 전압의 절대값이 꾸준히 증가하였고 대체적으로 온도가 증가함에 따라 그래프가 아래로 이동하는 현상이 관찰되었다. 이러한 경향은 이상적인 다이오드의 반송자 축적 식을 통하여 온도가 증가함에 따라 가 증가하는 것과 관련이 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 다수 층의 레이어로 이루어진 OLED소자의 열적 스트레스에 대한 수명 변화의 물리적 조건이 이상적인 다이오드 특성에 부합한다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • This study focuses on preparation of PVDF/PDMS composite membranes to effectively separate butanol from water-butanol mixture using pervaporation. We prepared various composite membranes by changing PVDF concentration of support layer and PDMS cross-linking condition of active layer. Pervaporation performance was tested by measuring butanol flux and separation factor with various cases of butanol concentration, temperature, and flow rate of feed. As results, performance of our novel PVDF/PDMS membranes surpasses that of PVDF/POMS membrane, manufactured by GKSS (Germany), in term of butanol flux, permeate concentration, and separation factor.

  • The crosslinked PVA/PAA membranes developed in our laboratory have been characterized for water-isopropyl alcohol mixture in terms of permeabilities and separation factor. When the feed mixture was 12wt% water, the permeability and the separation factor for PVA/PAA=75/25 membrane show $63g/m^{2}h$ and 1520 at $80^{\circ}C$, respectively. In case of 5wt% water in feed mixture, the permeability for PVA/PAA=75/25 membrane is $56g/m^{2}h$ at 8$0^{\circ}C$ while the separation factor is 1563.

  • Phosphazene diagnostic membranes were prepared to measure blood glucose level of diabetics. Final absorbances at 680nm through activated phosphazene membranes were measured at various temperature and humidity by varing concentration of glucose in blood. Measuring temperature and humidity did not seriously affected the end-point results of varing absorbance values as time (K/S). The effects of storage temperatures on the measurements of glucose concentration were studied after activated phosphazene diagnostic membranes were stored at various temperatures for 3 days, 1 week, 3 weeks, and 5 weeks. The stabilities of phosphazene dianostic membranes were confirmed even at RH 80%.

A Study on Separation of $N_2-SO_2$ Mixed Gas by Polymer Membranes (고분자막을 이용한 $N_2-SO_2$ 혼합기체의 분리에 관한 연구)

  • Separation of $N_2-SO_2$ mixed gas by polymer membranes, SEPA-97(CA), TFC, and FT-30 membrane, was investigated by varying pressure and temperature. The permeability coefficients and the separation factors of mixed gases were measured, and the influence of various factors on the gas permeability characteristics and separation performance were investigated. The range of pressure was 0.1~1.0 MPa, and that of temperature was 283~303 K. The experimental results showed that the permeability coefficients and the separation factors were increased with an increase in pressure, but they were deereased with increasing temperature. Among the examined membranes, FT-30 possessed the best gas-separating characteristics.

  • Recent data from Environmental department show that some out of 2,000 places surveyed are contaminated by nitrate, ammonia, fluoride, chloride and so forth in excess of the environmental standard-including purification plants, water taps, small water supply systems. In this study, some items which exceed drinking water standard were chosen and their concentrations were made varying from around standard level to around detected maximum concentration. After they permeated through the membrane module sold in the domestic market and made for household water-purifier, the most suitable membranes were selected according to individual water quality of various regions. In addition, the bacterial growth after storage for various days and under various temperatures was examined for the purpose of the effect of the time and temperature on bacterial growth.
