  • Mine reclamation project is closely related to human's past mining activities and the current human's living environment. It is a reason for the national management. In order to efficiently carry out mine reclamation projects, a precise investigation and analysis of the underground space of the abandoned mine is required. Korea MINE RECLAMATION Corp. is developing a practical technology that is effective in investigating and actually measuring underground cavities. MIRECO EYE system is an exploration equipment for 3D digitization and figuration of underground cavities. As combining a laser, sonar and image acquisition technology, it enables access to information about inaccessible underground cavities and effective management of subsidence risk of mined area. and currently it is also utilized for various purposes in related areas such as investigating urban sinkholes. This article is precise numerical and geometric information analysis obtained through MIRECO EYE system.

  • The overall goal of this study was to examine the feasibility of predicting firmness of pear fruit by analyzing laser-induced light backscattering images. Thirty-five image analysis characteristics extracted from the laser-induced light backscattering images were used to build partial least squares regression (PLSR) models for predicting firmness of pear fruit. Experiments were conducted with three sets of pear samples which were in same "Shingo" cultivar, harvested in a same season, but produced in different counties. In every experiments with fruit samples produced in a same county, the correlation coefficients of prediction ($r_p$) and root mean square errors of prediction (RMSEP) of the models were 0.550~0.761 and 4.039~6.154 N, respectively. In an experiment with mixed fruit samples produced in different counties, the $r_p$ and RMSEP of the model were 0.669 and 5.02 N, respectively. The experiment results indicate that the analysis of laser-induced light backscattering images could be a useful tool for predicting firmness of pear fruit nondestructively.

  • Electronic control systems of vehicle are rapidly developed to keep balance of a driver`s safety and the legal, social needs. The driver assistance systems are putted into practical use according to the cost drop in hardware and highly efficient sensor, etc. This study has developed a lane and vehicle detection program using CCD camera. The Risky Driving Analysis Program based on vision systems is developed by combining a risky driving detection algorithm formed in previous study with lane and vehicle detection program suggested in this study. Risky driving detection programs developed in this study with information coming from the vehicle moving data and lane data are useful in efficiently analyzing the cause and effect of risky driving behavior.

  • The performance of arrow from a manufacturing process depends on arrow's trajectory(archer's paradox) and intensity of an impact points. Especially, when conducting a shooting experiment over and over in the same experiment condition, the intensity of impact point is an objective standard to judge the performance of the arrow. However, the analysis method for the impact point is not enough, a previous research of the arrow's performance has been focused on a skill to optimize a manufacturing variables(feathers of an arrow, barb of an arrow, arrow's shaft, weight, external diameter, spine). In this paper, We propose measurement system of arrow's impact point with Mamdani fuzzy inference system and similarity of polygon for automation of impact point's measurement. Measuring the impact point data of the arrow moving with a high speed(approximately 275km/h) by using line laser and photo diode array, then the measured data are mapped to arrow's impact point with fuzzy inference and similarity of polygon.

  • It has gradually become important to estimate a forest stand volume utilizing LiDAR data. Recently, various statistical models including a linear regression model has been introduced to estimate a forest stand volume using LiDAR data. One of limitations of the current approaches is in that the accuracy of observed forest stand volume data, which is used as a response variable, is questionable unstable. To overcome this limitation, we consider a spatial structure for a forest stand volume. In this research, we propose a hierarchical model for applying a spatial structure to a forest stand volume. The proposed model is applied to the LiDAR data and the forest stand volume for Bonghwa, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

  • The vehicle electronic control system is being developed as the legal and social demand for ensuring driver's safety is rising. The various Driver Assistance Systems with various sensors such as radars, camera, and lasers are in practical use because of the falling price of hardware and the high performance of sensor and processer. In the preceding study of this research, the program was developed to recognize the experiment vehicle's driving lane and the cars nearby or approaching the experiment vehicle throughout the images taken by CCD camera. In addition, the 'dangerous driving analysis program' which is Vision System basis was developed to analyze the cause and consequence of dangerous driving. However, the Vision system developed in the previous studyhad poor recognition rate of lane and vehicles at the time of passing a tunnel, sunrise, or sunset. Therefore, through mounting the brightness response algorithm to the Vision System, the present study is aimed to analyze the causes of driver's dangerous driving clearly by improving the recognition rate of lane and vehicle, regardless of when and where it is.

  • LiDAR, unlike satellite imagery and aerial photographs, which provides irregularly distributed three-dimensional coordinates of ground surface, enables three-dimensional modeling. In this study, urban area was classified based on 3D information collected by LiDAR. Morphological and spatial properties are determined by the ratio of ground and non-ground point that are estimated with the number of ground reflected point data of LiDAR raw data. With this information, the residential and forest area could be classified in terms of height and density of trees. The intensity of the signal is distinguished by a statistical method, Jenk's Natural Break. Vegetative area (high or low density) and non-vegetative area (high or low density) are classified with reflective ratio of ground surface.

  • Nowadays 3D models are used in diverse sectors. The 3D maps provide better reality than existing plane maps as well as diverse pieces of information that cannot be expected from the limited plane maps. A process proposed in this paper enables easy and quick production by replacing the expensive laser scanners for modeling by an improved digital camera stereo matching algorithm. The algorithm used in this study was a SURF algorithm contained in the OpenCV library. The unconformity points of the algorithm were eliminated using the homography conversion and epipolar lines. In addition, the improved algorithm was compared with the commercial program, and it showed a better performance than the commercial program. It is expected that the proposed method can contribute to the digital maps and 3D virtual reality because it enables easy and quick 3D modeling provided that the stereo matching conditions are met.

  • The point of impact, the shot group, and the flight traces depend on the combination of unique features which decide moving traces of the arrow (paradox of the archer, length of the arrow shaft, weight, angle of the feather, and spline of the arrow shaft). The more dense the impact points in the shot group and the earlier elimination of paradox of the archer, the higher assessment is given for the product. However, there is no way to objectively assess the efficiency and quality of the arrow, and there is no numeric data to be used as the basis for comparison with other products. Although capturing the images of flying arrow using a high-speed motion picture camera is possible, we are limited to observation from specific view angle only. Hence, the criteria for efficiency and quality assessment are mostly based on subjective opinions of experts or hunters, or review on consumers' remarks. In this paper, we propose a hardware composition that are based on three detection frames consisting of line lasers and photo diode arrays without the high-speed motion picture camera. Predicated on measured coordinates data, a nobel method for the archer's paradox measurement, a key parameter that determine the arrow's trajectory, and corresponding numerical analysis model is proposed.

  • Depth of water information is obtained mainly from echo-sounding instrument which observes the round-trip time of signal from water surface to the bottom. Photogrammetry, underwater survey and laser survey etc. are also used as another method of bathymetric surveying. These methods are used specially for making track chart in a shallow water area. On the other hand, aircraft or satellite imagery ara also used in the sea area where the effect of suspended material is low and water quality is good. Presently, general bathymetric surveying has been performed in our country, but the spatial density of surveyed point are relatively low. Therefore, in this study we built a grid water depth chart which measured combing echosounder with GPS-RTK method and the depth accuracy was analyzed by using the data of direct survey water depth. As a results, the bathymatric mapping which use echosounder is more economical method compared to the existing methods.
